I felt it at work and instantly though I had something like vertigo until I saw the overhead lights swaying. The guy from the warehouse next door came over and asked if we felt it. I fired up "earthquake 3D" and saw it said 5.9 at 1km in depth. Funny the program was right. USGS said a 5.8 then upgraded it to 5.9 like 15 minutes later. Software is very accurate I guess.

There have been 4 minor aftershocks. The biggest was 4.2. VERY small if you realize the scale is exponential and not just a number scale. Thats why its called orders of magnitude.
3.4-Magnitude Quake Recorded in Northern NY. Yesterday. CRAZY

Didn't feel that one.
The Weather Channel says yesterdays east coast earthquake was caused by an unknown fault line running under D.C. and through Virginia. It is now being called Obama's Fault, though Obama will say it's really Bush's Fault. Another theory is that it was the founding fathers rolling over in their graves. I believe what we all thought was an earthquake was actually the effects of a 14.6 trillion dollar check bouncing in Washington!
