Why would NS do New Haven? Kinda seems redundant when SLE and Metro North already have plentiful heritage units.

I've heard estimation that they'll be out by the summer, possibly by May maybe June. This is so freakin sweet! I'll be in Altoona in July so I hope I'll see a few of these!

This started as an April fools joke back in 2011. Who confirmed this? NS hasn't said anything about it that I can find.

Here is the only source I know of:
Trains Mag Article

Trains Mag doesn't usually post incorrect information. And it's a bit early for them to be doing Aprils Fools.

peter

PS: NS is also scheduled to get their new 70ACEs starting Q1 2012, which also lines up with what the article is saying.

PPS: On the flip side however, NS already has Haritage Units, as you can see here on their page about their 30th Anniversary:
http://www.nscorp.com/nscportal/nscorp/Community/NS_Store_Calendar_Photos/30th_anniversary/#&panel1-7

Oh forget it: But then again NS has "liked" just about every post on their Facebook Wall talking about Heritage Units. Go figure.

One down side to the Heritage units is they won't have special road numbers.

I just found that out.
