Why would NS do New Haven? Kinda seems redundant when SLE and Metro North already have plentiful heritage units. |

This started as an April fools joke back in 2011. Who confirmed this? NS hasn't said anything about it that I can find. |

Here is the only source I know of: Trains Mag Article Trains Mag doesn't usually post incorrect information. And it's a bit early for them to be doing Aprils Fools. peter PS: NS is also scheduled to get their new 70ACEs starting Q1 2012, which also lines up with what the article is saying. PPS: On the flip side however, NS already has Haritage Units, as you can see here on their page about their 30th Anniversary: http://www.nscorp.com/nscportal/nscorp/Community/NS_Store_Calendar_Photos/30th_anniversary/#&panel1-7 Oh forget it: But then again NS has "liked" just about every post on their Facebook Wall talking about Heritage Units. Go figure. Edited by PerRock, February 16 2012, 06:36 PM.

One down side to the Heritage units is they won't have special road numbers. I just found that out. |
