So have a couple CDP Files saved to my desktop and I noticed today that CDP image has disappeared. And now I can no longer open that CDP File. And I can't save any of my files as a CDP. Have any suggestion

P.S. I'm sorry if this sounds confusing I'd show you a picture of what I mean if I could.

What do you mean?
So I managed to find a file that still had the CDP image on it and I looked at its properties and the type of file it is, is a Content Dispatcher Pack. But the type of file I have now is a CDP File which when I click on it just open my CMP and tries to overwrite my already installed file which is what I don't want. As when the file is saved as a Content Dispatcher Pack (CDP) it just installs the file rather than trying to overwrite the already installed file know what I mean?

All trainz files have a .cdp extension.

Trainz will not overwrite a file that is already installed. It will say something like "skipped already installed asset <kuid:XXXXXXX>" if you click on the details box.

If the file on your desktop somehow doesn't show the CDP file incon doesn't mean its not still a working file.
Right click on it, click properties and see if the file type is a CDP. If it is, close that properties box. Right click it again, scroll to "open with and click "choose program". On the bottom check the checkbox that says "always use this program to open this type of file, then choose the program "content manager" or whatever trainz is called. It should open the CDP in the content manager and try to overwrite. Doesn't matter. Close trainz and see if the file on your desktop now has the CDP icon now.

I checked its a CDP File but it didn't work (well the changing of the icon didn't) My concern with all of this is that if for some reason I have to uninstall my TS10 then the files I saved to my desktop will disappear because it no longer has the CDP file icon but the TS10 Content Manager.exe Launcher know what I mean?

Uninstalling 2010 will not delete the files from your desktop. If your going to uninstall trainz, go into the tranz directory in your C drive, program files, auran(or trainz2010), user something, locals. Back up your locals, it has everything you downloaded and modified there.
