Article One

The President


1. Serves as the Presiding Officer over the functions and procedures of the Trans Atlantice Regional Council.

2. The President will be tasked with coordinating the defense of the region and its interests:

2. 1. Conducts oversight of the activities of the Secretary of Defense.

2. 3. Establishes Immigration policy and procedures if necessary alongside the Secretary of Immigration.

2. 4. Performs the functions of the Foreign Secretary, where necessary, and conducts oversight over the foreign missions to other regions or organizations.

3. Administers the forum, along with the rest of the forum administration team.

4. Presidential elections shall be held every three months, if Emergency Directives of the Trans Atlantice Constitution are not in effect:
4. 1. The election shall require a vote of Resident Non-Member States and Citizens, alongside a confirmation vote by the Trans Atlantice Council.
4. 1. 1. A candidate in order to run for the Presidency must resign from other offices held in Trans Atlantice.
4. 1. 2. A candidate for the Presidency, or a sitting President seeking re-election, must obtain a simple majority of all Resident Non-Member States and Citizens who decide to vote in the election.
4. 1. 3. If a candidate meets the conditions of (4. 1. 2. ), then they shall require a confirmation vote by Trans Atlantice Council - a simple majority of Trans Atlantice Council Members will confirm the candidate as President.

5. If the President fails to perform his or her duties, an election may be held:
5. 1. There must be at least a functioning government in order to remove the President, as under Emergency Directives of the Constitution, a sitting President cannot be removed without a vote by the Trans Atlantice Council.
5. 2. If the conditions are met (in 5.1. ) then a simple majority vote of the Trans Atlantice Council shall be required to remove a sitting President from office.
5. 3. If the conditions are met (in 5. 1 and 5.2. ) then a simple majority vote of the region shall be required to remove a sitting President from office.
5. 4. After the conditions are met (from 5.1. – 5.3. ) then an election shall be held for the Presidency.
