Witches are primarily females who work with a form of magic or healing. Stereotypically, witches are known for their devious tricks and the slaughter of others for their own amusement. This has brought upon events known as witch hunts, or brought people to capture and publicly burn witches to humiliate their kind. Not all witches are evil though; this is just a common speculation brought upon those of prejudice. Their powers are limited to their studies and efforts in their fields; they are not gods and are as mortal as anything else. Some of the greater, more powerful witches are known to have a field of psychological philosophy. An ideal or concept they hold true to their hearts, though this is not the case with all witches. *Credits to Ryu-Kazuki for initial proposal and research. ** More information may be provided at a later time and date. Name of Proposal: (Race: Any, Transition) Witch Section: Miscellaneous Please detail your proposal: WIP Race Name: Witch Average Height: Varies depending on the person. Common Skin Tones: No defined skin tone, it remains the same as the birth tone of the person. Common Hair Colors: The hair color of the person does not change. Common Eye Colors: The eyes of the one who became a witch do not change in any manner. Aging Rate: Indeterminable. Almost as if one doesn't exist. Average Lifespan: The longevity of witches is extremely high. The only recorded deaths of one has been due to a form of murder or result of battle. It may be possible they do not have an expiration date naturally, but this does not mean they are immortal or cannot be killed. Alliances: There are no specified alliance for those of this kind. Most Common Occupations: As witches generally are unknown to most members of society, they can be generally any person unless their guise was discovered. Generally due to their field of knowledge, if employed, they would take upon a position as a healer, alchemist, or something of that variety. Defining Abilities: Witches seem to have an immense mana capacity and control. Normally they are known to fly without the aid of wings or other sources, as well having the ability to hide from sight; though unable to cast any other magics when doing so. Defining Physical Traits: Witches being were once mortals of a different race will look as they did prior to transition. This allows them to generally blend into society and hide; although witches are known to have a strong occultist aura, meaning if anyone is able to sense mana, they can feel this. As well, when they use a high concentration of their mana, the aura around them appears, each witch having their own respective color, and occultist tattoo markings appear on their body when this occurs as a result of their contractual agreement of becoming a witch. Traditional Names: Those of higher ranks generally by the others when not in their company are referred to as Lady [Name]; this applies the same in the form of a high ranking witch whom would gain the right to being called Great Lady [Name]. Culture &History: Witches are primarily females who work with a form of magic or healing. Contracts and the Oculistic: Witches are not of a born kind; witches are those who have devoted themselves to magic and the like. Witches are known to be linked to oculistic ideals; thusly they obtain an oculistic arua upon becoming a witch. The process is a very defined sacrifice of one's self in exchange for greater power, like a contract that shows its seal of approval on their bodies when the power is used. A ritual known among those of this kind have shared their knowledge with others on how to perform it; the origins of this ritual are unknown. At least one current witch is required to perform the ceremony, and the initiate must be willing to sacrifice part of their own self (such a part of who they are within themselves) for this great exchange. It can be delved into further by offering nearly almost all of their own self for the exchange of power; but it is a high cost and heaves a large risk of what seems like insanity; or what people think of the common misconception of a witch. In short, it is a simple ceremonial process. One must have a strong heart and the presence of an already powerful witch in order to transverse. In the end result, for this exchange, part of who they once were is no more. Edited by Ryu-Kazuki, May 26 2013, 02:13 PM.

Sounds interesting. I have no objections, personally. I'd say that more info about how one becomes a witch would be nice, but you did say that there is more to come. So I'll just look forward to that. |

Updated as of 5/26/2013 @ 3:13pm EST. Added information regarding the ritual process in order to become a witch. It still needs a bit of work, but I'll see what I can do. |
