I never really liked George Michael that much, too much of a pretty boy but this melody and the one you posted are his best in my humble opinion anyway. :)

He had the same affect on Aretha Franklin I gather ....... George Michael went up in my estimation when he performed at the Tribute to Freddie Mercury Wembley concert - he stole the show!

Darn YouTube is acting up or trying to drive us crazy. Anything I try to play on YT, I can barely hear today. I have the newest version of Flash, I went to my control panel and I have my settings at the highest volume, it is fine here. The pay off when you ask them for a remedy, they send aVideo, telling you what to do and no one can hear it. :-\

I don't have the best of hearing these days which is why I'm asking if some of the bass playing was using harmonics? That's what it sounded like to me.

Well you're wrong I'm 82 and I bet my mind is better than you will ever have at my age.....you more like drooling in your porridge.

A woman never gives her right age, I changed it and I hope you are happy Mr. Pig (hiding behind your name.)

I suppose the mods here knew which is fine and also those that were on a past site with me but who wants to debate with a 82 year old woman.

It's been fun and the people so nice and maybe Mr. Pig is too in real life, I sure hope so.

I'll tell you one thing, I sure keep the posts rolling in for you all, no matter where I am.

Keep up the good work and always look at both sides of the subject you debate.

What's my problem? What's my bloody problem? The 80 year old mother is my mother you dozy cow! Seems you are not quite as sharp as you thought you were doesn't it? Have you ever tried caring for someone with dementia Lily? Try it. You'll soon find out what the problem is. That's the bloody problem. Watching someone you love very much completely losing the plot steadily going down the shitter day by day. Thats the bloody problem. Cursing the world, god and everything else for the situation, because there is nothing you can do about it. That's the bloody problem! Sitting there crying in the quieter moments when no one can see you. That's the bloody problem. So I'd be grateful if you keep your bloody lectures to yourself and count your bloody blessings lady.

I don't have the best of hearing these days which is why I'm asking if some of the bass playing was using harmonics? That's what it sounded like to me.
Indeed, the basic tune is played almost exclusively using harmonics, some of which are extremely difficult to get on the bass. Some of the notes are not "natural" harmonics, so as you can see, he manually alters the tuning of the guitar as he is playing the tune, and then puts it back into tune as he goes along.

Truly stunning thing to do.
