Anything goes, new or old, blockbuster or indie, as long as you enjoyed them.
I've given up reading the critics reviews on movies beforehand because too often I think ''Did they even watch the same film as me?''

I'll recommend Out Of The Furnace starring Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson, Casey Affleck.
A story of loyalties , family and good people dealt bad hands in America's blue collar Rust Belt.

This film won't be for everybody. It can be rather grim, with a small town struggling with de-industrialisation and the recession. There is no glamour, but there are glimmers of hope.

I won't put it up there against The Deer Hunter as that is a classic, but there are similarities.

Can you recommend any movies to watch?

I saw the new Avengers film last week and it was fantastic, make as many snooty comments as you like but it's pretty much the perfect summer blockbuster for me, with a bit of everything.

:) will pass this on to Mrs K who's been trying to decide whether we see it in cinema or when it's on Sky Store. Cinema is going to win

hidden figures was marvellous because I know why NASAs computer room was devoid of their IBM computer and what IBM were doing instead but I can't say .....

Last week I saw the reboot of Jumanji with The Rock and Jack Black and Karen Gillan and ROFL or what !

Never saw the original but caught it on Sarah's TIVO after I saw the reboot. I understand it all now !!

Was that ROFL with the film or at the film?

have you seen the original. if not, I think you SHOULD find a way to watch it cheaply. then find a big screen and some popcorn. nothing you can spill. it's not big on plot but man the sight of karen gillan aka amy pond having to be shown how to flirt by jack black whose body is occupied by a woman with the body of a Barbie doll outside the game ....

it's a ripping romp.

I tend to 'shy away' from 'critically acclaimed' catagories, but found Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5027774/ surprisingly compelling.

So do I, I find such films are not worth bothering with.
