This a petition I just had to sign.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/105119

Petition
Enforce mandatory drug tests for all Members of Parliament.

We must be sure that our MP's are not under the influence of mind altering substances whilst representing us. This should include all Psychoactive Substances; illegal drugs, legal highs and alcohol.

Why?

Because imbibing alcohol impairs one's judgement.

You may be happy with your elected representative deliberately having poor judgement, I would not.

Can anyone think of one other profession outside the city where getting tipsy at lunchtime is considered acceptable?

I do not understand why the clip was offered as justification? Could Mr Smurf explain?

Osborne looks like he has the flue and Milliband could have been on "speed" or similar.

Osborne looks stoned out of his brains. It was offered as an example, Osborne is not the only suspect coke head in Parliament.

I have seen pasty faced people with influenza. I do not think that you are a Doctor of Medicine can pronounce on the state of Osborne's health from such a clip no matter how hard you try. That said, based on the claims you have made on this Forum there is a more evidence to justify a claim that maybe you are taking mind bending substances.
Looks like a deliberate attempt to character assassinate.

RJD IF you bothered to look at the internet half the country thought Osborne had been at the "snow" just before he entered the chamber that day.
I really wish you would not keep assuming I am in a minority of one, you really need to get out more.

Well if Giddy had any brains then he would be stoned.

Maybe he should have given some to Scammers to help with his obvious hypertension.

The bloke sleeping in the background may also have had a few too many sherberts at lunchtime too.

Nah he is not wired in that clip ps. He looks rough, maybe a cold or a hangover from whatever but not wired right then.

Drug testing for them is as good an idea as for anyone else though.

RJD, if I or my wife saws someone in the state Osborne was that day in Parliament out in the street we would be checking on their welfare, to see if an ambulance was needed. (Seriously)

If only there was a picture somewhere showing Osborne embracing cultural diversity and puffing on a herbal Benson's?

;-)

Most of them have no qualifications to be MPs anyway, so poor judgement is built in to the system.
