It was a truly incredible moment. He did not just captivate the House, he inverted the House. Hilary Benn did not look like the Shadow Foreign Secretary. He did not look like the leader of the opposition. He looked like the prime minister. And by extension, his party, which for the past few days has appeared broken and beaten, looked like the government.

Torygraph

As the man said it appears too be a "where were you when Benn gave that speech"?

Maybe Benn is of the stuff to rebuild Labour?

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Well apparently the man had something to hide..apart from that?

I don't think racism or homophobia came into it... :rubchin:
What is he hiding Mary? He hasn't got one of those reds under his bed has he? Has he illegal immigrants living in his back shed?

No it seems Mary thinks no one should protect their new partner from the gutter press researching her previous partners. As a candidate he could not prevent it as the gutter could use 'public interest' to disgise their prurience, as a non candidate he could get an injunction

An adult would respect someone being more loyal to their partner than his ambition.
