I think it won't be long before Labour splits into two parties.

I have not seen the results of the by election yet....that could well be the catalyst for just such an action, as I understand, Labour rules dictate that there are only two ways to appoint a new leader, death of the leader or resignation, other than that he/she is there until the next GE.

Conversely, with the Conservative party, a leader dreads a knock on his door from a man in a grey suit carrying an enveloped given to that man by the 1922 committee.

Internally it seems they have. I cannot see how they can be unified under Corbyn, and I cannot see how he can bring them together. If the threats to deselect elected MPs at the next GE are put into effect, there will be two people standing on a labour ticket effectively reducing their chance of gaining an MP.
In recent weeks there has been a huge amount of speculation on a number of issues, and most of it has been wrong, and is a long way to go before the next election so it pays to be patient and see what develops.

well hang on a minute, blair deselected loads of elected MP's on the back of some tosser feminist demanding that gender equality had some role in politics that was worth chucking well liked local politicians on the scrapheap, and the debacle that caused in parliament and the welsh assembly blighted both for decades and still does.

so if we're in the business of denouncing dodgy deselections, blair started it first, and for reasons that were fuck all to do with policy

From what I have seen of the activists, most of them were not born when he lost his election and would not even know the history of the man, I am at a loss as say just who the activists think that they represent.

More like Wilson as the Welsh Windbag had already culled much of Militant, they rest hiding in cupboards until Foot had his short stint at trying to become a Leader.

Truth is that Labour has been an unhappy Party since Thatcher demonstrated that they were wrong headed. They have never been able to reconcile the internal difference between those that accept that Thatcher was, by and large, correct and the wannabe Marxists of the English limp wrist variety. The wheel has again turned full circle and one day it will be broken by someone with the guts and leadership skills. However, I see none on the horizon. Labour might have to lose big time in 2020 before someone stands up and claims "enough is enough". There are no intellectual giants in Labour's ranks who are unconcerned with pecuniary interests, they, because they love to sup at the Public Trough, will not, at this time, seek to rock any boats.

Is there ANY evidence it is "labour activists?" Judging by Newsnight last night the nutcases are NOT Labour members or Labour activists.

Exactly and as I pointed out Corbyn and co made a concerted effort to tell these nutters to piss off.

Well Corbyn has had to put up with nastiness from the mainstream media, so he probably knows how they feel.
