This could be fun ...

So it's a "kickstarter" for a couple who want to establish a .. well ... think "half murder mystery, half crystal maze" experience.

it isn't the first such, there's one in Cardiff and my daughter and her fellow Ranger Guides who did it to celebrate madam's last ever outing as a Ranger as she's now to old .. were the only ones to solve it completely EVER so it canlt have been open that long ...

Anyway, the instructions to me and my drinking buddies are "turn up dressed for work"

Ahem

Did you hear the one that goes "A Fireman, A Police Diver, A Nuclear Bomb Maker, an Animal Experimenter, A Royal Ordnance QA Inspector and a MAN of the night walk into a bar ..."

Not for the first time I think "You know, we'd make one hell of a YMCA video together" but for thet I need to be able to dance better than Ed Balls...

But I can't wait for the look on the host's face(s) as the thought "what in the name of god do you guys DO for a living" goes from ear to ear ...

I know I've had a sheltered upbringing, but what the hell are you taking about?

I expect you do know what the euphemism 'lady of the night' means?
Spoiler: click to toggle

Need I explain my humour more graphically?

Is an escape room like a safe space?

I wondered which tunnel it was associated with. Tom, Dick or Harry?

Apologies are due.
I was attributing Roofys interest to Ewill. My mistake, and of course the joke is lost.

Well, not really as I don't know much about it ...

My daughter and the rest of the ranger guides were taken to this basement room and handcuffed together ... :o :o

And the first thing they had to do was solve the clues to get the keys to undo the handcuffs ... !jk!

As far as I know it is indeed a team clue solving game ... which is going to take place in a top secret location (which I think i know) in Newport, and will keep six of us diverted for an hour or so for a tenner each. Taking place in early Jan 2017.

Not really welsh humour. Think rent Boy but a bit more grown up. In the sense that if a "boy band" splits up and reforms 20 years later, what do you call it ? A man band ??

Anyway, let's just say I'm buggered if I let myself get handcuffed to him in a dark cellar ...

As for the detals as far as I have them

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/first-tickets-newport-escape-rooms-12114736

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1919808955/the-escape-rooms-newports-first-escape-room-experi

And as for who are we, well four of our "alter egos" are among this lot, the other two are "drinking chums" at the said watering hole.

;D

To digress further this (ie UKD2) is in a sense my virtual escape room. I'm in the same room as Mrs K but she says I'm just totally out of what is going on in the room. That is one reason why I really don't much go for video/audio links they would break her use of the room

To vaguely return to topic, handcuffs are never involved

My escapism is/are my headphones, even though I am sat in the living room at the table using my laptop it does not interfere with the others.

What gets me is even though I am listening to metal/woodworking channels on you tube, they think that I can't hear them.....little do they know I hear every word but play dumb. ;-)

Anyway, 2 years from today and I can officially draw my old age pension. :)
