Great news. /8/

Theresa should quit the anti-Russia rhetoric and get on board with the new reality.

Trump should plan to have his room swept for bugs - but then he'll have sacked all his spooks by then so who's he going to get to do that for him.

"get on board with the new reality"

Well reality ain't ever going to be max 140 character dribblings from Trump is it

I fail to see the surprise in this story ? It seems entirely logical that the President of the USA would speak to Russia as a priority, especially with the current political conflict.

As for the tweets; I suspect this is just a tactic to put the wind up the 'establishment' media (and even the traditional White House press corps), by seeming to bypass them, and thence bringing them to heel. I doubt it will last for long once he has his feet under the table.

Or... perhaps.. he's just a buffoon. ;D

Time will tell :)

Perhaps they should send Alec Baldwin along instead?

Looks like more false news. ;-)

Financial website Bloomberg which is rather sparse when it comes to opinion is reporting that the US embassy in London has not spoken to anyone about Trump meeting Putin in Iceland, least of all the Times which originally broke the "story".

More bollocks from the St Petersberg scammers?

Ooh you nasty man pissing on deluded DM readers' teddy bears.

Stupid rag took a Times article and exaggerated it. Let me add to the flow

Sean Spicer, Mr. Trump’s incoming White House press secretary, called the report -- first published by The Sunday Times of London -- “100% false” in tweets late Saturday that referenced other U.S. outlets republishing the news

Even the Daily Misery has retracted it now by completely revising the article using the same URL all of which makes the OP a complete farce

In other Soviet news tennis babe Maria Sharipova is popping round the gaff in the morning to dust the mantle piece, she'll apparently be wearing stockings and suspenders!

Just off to see if the Express has nicked my scoop.

First ,second or tenth Trump is going to reassess the threat of Russia and possibly have a more cordial relationship.

Does it matter? he will be inaugurated tomorrow and Obama will be history, that is how it goes....who gives a second thought to Bush these days?

America has two houses to Keep Trump in control and to be fair he has made some very good appointments to surround himself.

I shall watch with keen interest especially regarding his foreign policies.

That's a point, Russia economically puny with an economy smaller than either Texas or California is being given a seemingly (up too now) easy ride, but the far more serious economic rivals of the EU and China are in Trumps sights.
