Trump is against the export of US manufacturing and is taking steps to reverse it. Maybe the EU should follow his example. |

Really are you sure about that? Most EU nations are very protective of domestic manufacturing, the Hun is a bigger maker than ever, the French defend car making and aerospace and the new former Eastern bloc members are big on blue collar work, Slovakia produces more cars per head of population than any other nation on the face of the Earth. Now if you'd said the UK should stop the export of it's key manufacturing companies you might have had a point, but that particular bird flew the nest years ago, mainly via suits in the City..... |

Fair enough. In that case the EU will understand MrTrumps attempt to reverse the export of US manufacturing and be willing to co operate with him.. |

Ironically one of the big USA arguments for NAFTA was its own car makers wanting free access to the Mexican car market |

Agree, now all we need to do is buy back all the businesses we sold off so we really can take back control, in my view it's pure fuckwittery to pretend we are the masters of our own destiny when so much of what we used to own is now controlled from abroad, unfortunately it's against the law to hang traitorous executives, bankers and ministers from lamp posts. |

Could this be described as a protectionist cartel? |
