There are a couple of debates going on about DT's recent executive orders, and comments about media misrepresentation, so I thought it might be interesting to create a thread dedicated to it. Here's my opening offer. In a BBC News online article about the Quebec Mosque shootings, and out of the blue, we have this paragraph... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38800907
The sentence comes out of the blue, entirely unrelated to the previous or following sentences, with no context, explanation or follow-up. It is difficult to understand what purpose it serves within the article as it is a complete disconnect. As a result, it is difficult to avoid the impression that the journalist is trying to insinuate that Donald Trump is somehow to blame for the attack ? Edited by RoofGardener, Jan 30 2017, 04:06 PM.

Or perhaps suggesting that there is a strong anti-Muslim sentiment at present, that relations between muslims and non-muslims are very newsworthy at present. That's two alternative explanations off the top of my head. Of far greater concern to me, is a US President trying to discredit the media by claiming they are out to get him and thus avoiding accountability. Edited by Happy Hornet, Jan 30 2017, 04:12 PM.
