The spat between Turkey and the Netherlands has led to some very nasty comments by Erdogan. It seems that Erdogan wants more power and control in Turkey and sees the actions by the Dutch (and Germans) as a stumbling block in his ambitions.

Judging by the comments by Erdogan I would think he is not fit to have any power, authority or control anywhere.

"They are Nazi remnants, they are fascists," Erdogan said, days after he angrily compared moves to block rallies in Germany to "Nazi practices".
Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte called Erdogan's remark comparing the Dutch to the Nazis "crazy".

I admit this is hypocritical as I am a committed atheist.....but God forbid that the dominant Islamic culture become reality,....we have seen and experienced what it has done to their own countries and of course their dream is to infiltrate and to dominate the "great Satan" of the west.

We must not sleepwalk and allow this to happen, this country (the UK) is a Christian based society and that has served us well and it must remain so.

I dread to think what our Monarch would do if as head of our Christian society she/he found themselves to be in a minority when part of the hereditary title is "defender of the faith"

The UK has tolerated atheism ,deism within the corridors of power and most religions outside of it.

Nowadays the rabid antiChristian lefties use the word tolerance as a tool for intolerance.

Christianity has been dying on its feet in the UK for a hundred years whereas Islam has grown from a tiny minority into a significant force. It is whatever the political commentator wants it to be. An oppressed minority, a misrepresented one, an alternative culture and an alternative , more assertive religious doctrine. Even Prince Charlie wants to be a defender of the faiths.
You don't get homosexuals using committed Muslims to make political points ..I wonder why?
I have a feeling that it won't be long here....Anything to fool us?

You know as well as I do Rich..these people will NOT win...
At least some Muslims have no wish for the UK to become just another Islamic state, and before I get a childish 'how do you know' ? from some antagonist, I know because some have told me so.

1 an Islamic state
2 an atheist state

Well these Muslims may not wish for the Uk to be an Islamic state but that is not the point.
The point is whether they would fight other Muslims to prevent it..from day one.
If not then they are irrelevant and the pro Islamic state Muslims will control the narrative and agenda.

My underlying point is that not only do the majority in the UK (and almost certainly in Europe) do not want an Islamic state, but neither do all Muslims. After all it is a probability that most Muslims coming to this country have chosen not to live in an Islamic state.

They chose to live in a state that is not Islamic and no doubt prefer this situation to continue.
That means a great deal if th situation stays the same. It means little if the situation changes.
I remind you that Germany was considered one of the most liberal and civilised countries during the late 20s and early 30s. Not so when things changed eh?
Sorry Mr Godwin

I don't need to be reminded that things might change, there are many parts to this equation, I've mentioned a few.

What's happening in Turkey now is an example of change.

Hmm well first you should consider how many Muslim would like sharia law, then consider how many would want or accept a society within a society.ie an unofficial sharia law.something that commentators say exist and demonstrably does.
I don't believe that there are secular/ moderate nice and nasty Islamist with nothing in between.
As you know or should know it is usually the extremists that control the agenda with the sheeples either following or putting the brakes on.
I suspect that a critical mass of poor Muslims in a critical amount of Muslim ghettos would create unofficial parallel societies in the UK. The leftie love affair with Muslims would mean they would capitulate to accepting restricted Shia communities.
Enough for a bit...

Erdogan really does take this week's prize for being the most offensive world leader as he accuses the Netherlands of participating in the Srebrenica massacre[1]

Merkel and pals sub contracted their dirty work to Erdogan because they didn't have the balls to do it themselves. Now Turkey can blackmail the EU by threats.
The EU with the help of the US ( Under Obama) fecked up in the Ukraine then handed their balls on a plate to Erdogan.
