These incidents are going to become increasingly common, and very funny!

, A poll conducted last April by trade magazine Farmers Weekly concluded that 58% of farmers wanted out of the EU, and from today's Times, we now have farmers fretting about who is going to harvest their spring crops! With the £ so low and the message getting through that foreigners are no longer welcome in the way they once were the number of crop pickers from EE has plumeted, not to worry though farmers are calling for tens of thousands of NON EU citizens to be bussed in! No wonder David Davis wants mass immigration to continue!

!jk!

Make your mind up whether you are blathering about lack of money or lack of EU staff
Did you not understand the OP? Could be age related! Let's recap, money is a problem and so is retaing staff, personally I think looking after the elderly is worth more than minimum wage, others seem to think otherwise perhaps? ie the goverment and local councils.

What a load of guff. The points you made was that
1 Brexit voters had voted for their own poor care
2 then you tacked on a non point about foreign nationals.
Now you realise you have nothing to say you change the subject into another non point about minimum wage.
The problem is not about paying people more. It is about not having the money to pay enough people. You may not have noticed that we gave not left the EU yet
The brexit and foreigner shite was just you rambling .
Even when you have nothing to say, you still insist on saying it.

well, the care system is filled with foreigners.

the question is whether they are here to stay or here to scrape and send money home where it was once worth rather a lot. The Brexit business has made it less worth while coming here from an eastern European hovel to "do a Saudi" on us.

The question is also whether, if the various foreigners now here, piss off, any of our home grown pool of low skilled workers would take those jobs.

BUT the real problem as you have already identified is that the recent hikes in NMW, "living" wage and NI risesin the pipe already mean people like Lloyd's TSB are trying to contact people to set themselves up as "gg economy" jokevsrlf employed, as the money they want to pay their call centre staff no longer legally meets all the cost of having them as employees.

And the meagre funds for care workers mean even less of them can be funded and the extra costs of employment met....

Exactly! Even paying above minimum wage can't get these private firms the staff they need.

"We can't operate in isolation".

So says a new lobby group consisting of the National Farmers Union, The Food Supply Chain and the British Retail Consortium!

These newly converted remoaners are saying the government must retain free access to the single market as the alternatives are going to be dire for the industries these groups represent, stop moaning, don't you realise we'll just muddle through like a bunch of fucking amateur's?

Can you imagine the horror of taking your family to Switzerland..See you Jimmy..whilst you..or someone else gives you a cocktail of drugs..and finally puts a plastic bag over your face?

It's not a new thing..in the 60's the doctors used to overdose terminally ill patient with Morphine..Babies who were considered ''non viable'' were put in a side ward..and left to dream themselves to death...

I've no idea where you got the plastic bag idea from, as for dying with dignity and at a time and place of your own choosing, what is wrong with that? I often see bloated pensioners trundling around on mobility scooters, sorry that is not for me.........

Damned if we did and damned if we didn't. Oddball, is going to sit in his favourite armchair with a cocoa and bickie, and see just what the decisions of the great unwashed public and the 'great and good' have hit us with - a case of 'watch this space' - nursey where are my meds and tub of Popcorn:

The UK economy was in a mess before we joined the Market, that's one of the reasons why we joined. Outers apparently believe that those with the real wealth and power in the country will behave differently this time when we leave the EU.

IMO that is short term thinking, the strength of the EU, if it survives, is its potential for the future. Let me remind you that before the international meltdown the EURO was beginning to challenge the 'almighty dollar' on the world stage.

Well in 2015 we were ~10% higher ($41188 v $38595) so when you say 'outstrip' are you are telling us that gap will grow?

I'd have thought a comparison with a basket of the comparable EU economies would be the better test

Hmm.... perhaps Steve, perhaps. Although, if I was being arch, I might suggest that over the next couple-or-three years, we may see the "European economies" BECOME the basket(s) ! :P

Well, that's putting it a trifle strongly, but you get my drift.

Thing is, back in 1972, we joined a Common Market.

What we are in at the moment - and what we have voted to leave - is a nascent Political Union, and one that seems to be putting politics above the economic well-being of its 'citizens'.

So the "now and then" comparison is not really helpful ?

It's not if we were in a bad state before we joined, we were in a bad state! We'd been banging on the door for more than a decade!

The sick man of Europe in fact, not that you could even comprehend that of course given your closed mind, and are we in a better state because of membership? A definite yes, after we totally fucked up our domestic manufacturing and auto industries EU firms (and others) piled in and gave a demonstration of how it should be done.

And as for the 17.4 million many will be as thick as shit and unaware of any of the above, mainly it has to be said because they can't abide funny accents of brown faces which tends to cloud judgement and critical thinking.

3rd recap...you imply that foreigners will leave after Brexit ,which only exists in the wet dreams of bitter remainers. There is no reason to believe this.
Also you are the one who bangs on about Brexit meaning we will change white skinned migrants to brown skinned ones.
