This is getting very boring

It is a complete fallacy to claim that there is no scrutiny of statutory instruments by Parliament

Affirmative sis require scrutiny and negative resolution sis are scrutinised if an mp triggers the process within the 40 day limit

It's up to the MPs to trigger the process

Labour used Henry 8th clauses with abandon , their final parliamentary session created over 120
They display their rank hypocrisy in raising objections now
Keir stamers hypocritical diatribe yesterday was stupifying in its faux outrage and dullness but he did explain the two types of si (affirmative and negative) and process
You appear to be saying three false things and not seeing the holes in your rationale

a) you say that because all the SIs you know of have gone a certain route then that means all SIs must go that route - it doesn't

b) that because Labour may have used a Henry 8th clause or two then that makes any reckless use of Henry 8th clauses by your beloved Tories just fine and dandy - it doesn't

c) the Henry 8th clause derived laws require SIs - they don't

Loved it. Especially this bit "not seeing the holes in your rationale".
Isn't that CD?

Okay, I'll just shut my gob in future and instead make rude remarks.

Where I work, CD stands for controlled drugs.
