Having become a tad interested in the use of Facebook by some of my friends, I thought I would have a look so opened an account out of curiosity.
In my opinion it is nothing more than a narcissisitic ego trip. Am I alone in this thinking? I now am eager to cancel my too hasty joining as I have absolutely no intention of posting to it..ughhh!

Undoubtedly true but Facebook remains on my inverse bucket list of things I intend to never do before I die

Quite, I avoid Farcebook and Twatter, for reasons of personal security.

What annoys me most is you have a family do and you have that constant suspicion that anyone under 30 taking phone cam snaps is very possibly going to post the most embarrassing of them up on Arsebook.

We had to very bluntly tell one of our nieces who bragged she was going to do exactly that "you do and you're never invited again"

Oh really? What world is that then? I can go onto the 'net or listen to RT to find out a little of what's happening in the world.
If this is the 'new world' then count me out, i'll jump off.

I joined fairly recently after resisting for years. I do find it reasonably helpful, I'm originally from dahn sarf but now live in the Midlands so it helps to keep in touch with family and old friends, see pictures of my nieces and nephews etc.

I would not even know how to access Facebook and Twitter and have no desire to learn either.

Not posted anything in my account since 2014, the only use it has for me is as a quick way to find and msg older extended family members whose phone numbers I may not have handy. Soon I will deactivate or better, facebook is dying MZ himself is selling his own shares.

http://fortune.com/2017/09/22/mark-zuckerberg-facebook-shares-sell/
Mark Zuckerberg Will Sell Up to $12.8 Billion Worth of Facebook Shares Over the Next 18 Months
Goodbye facebook.
