Now perhaps those that are NOT interested can see why it is just nice to leave life behind for a few hours and to just sit and relax with rod, flask and sandwiches and best of all......silence and serenity.

You must come there to fish. Fly in to some pristine wilderness teaming with giants like Great Slave Lake.

Can't stand pigeon, a bit too pungent for my tastes, out of the common game species I can just about manage pheasant but find the shooting of them less challenging (in fact a bit boring), pigeons are far harder to bag and offer better sport in my opinion.

Overrun with pheasant here because a local shooting club release 20000+ a year to shoot at. The ones parading around my place have escaped the main kill zone and so raise families and are happy, I don't mind them. Not so happy about the deer that have suddenly appeared in numbers, very suss they are being introduced just to shoot at.
Danger to motorists.

The same here, if you want a pheasant for dinner you would not have much trouble finding one on the roadside, road kill is common given the numbers. It's always seemed a bit contrived to me breeding something to shoot, but then some of the local farms charge around £300 a day to blast half tame birds, no thanks, a proper walk and the vagaries of rough shooting is more my thing.

Plenty of roadkill badgers at the moment, but the rule for roadkill is if you can't read the number plate on the vehicle that killed it, leave it alone.

Not keen on badgers, I might get TB from one and consequently be worthless.

There is not much risk from eating TB infected meat:-

It is important to note that your risk of catching TB from eating meat from an infected animal is minimal.
