Seems poor old Angela the Darling of the Left and progressives movements cannot form a government due to the rise of the right in part. Stumbling block seems to be, capping immigration sounds familiar. I wonder if the people have had enough of all this PC propaganda and Immigration once and for all. Given the rise of the right in Europe, which they denied and still do,seems to me Macron also is not doing very favourably with the public on his progressive views. I wonder if we have seen the end of left dogma and a new era is about to take over.Or could it be the start of the fall of the EU given the strength of feeling in Hungary Poland Italy and most recently Austria Spain and Catalonia, where people are embracing the notion of nation states at last

What is the truth..they get here..get free housing..free money...free medical care..the more babies they have..the richer they become??
That is the propaganda not the truth, the rude awakening happens after they get here.
I see more coming than leaving, now we know it is not the weather or sightseeing that attracts them, so where is the propaganda coming from.....the media or you?

The propaganda was over the last at least a decade, however this local news item has caused me a lot of amusement.

So, what is the unemployment number in Cornwall where according to your link, numbers of bods are needed but there is a lack of immigrants to do the work.

From that I must deduce that every able bodied person in Cornwall is gainfully employed, is that the case?

The problem for the farmers is they shot themselves in the foot a long time ago when they allowed gangsters sorry gangers to take over crop picking.
The gangers point blank refused to employ locals who when they turned up at the start of the picking season were told to eff off we are not employing any locals.
Over the course of time the local fit an able either left the county or found other work.
(There is an entire team of local young males who spend most of their time on difficult coastal civil engineering projects which are small but need specialist skills and lot of certification.)

Okay, that's a fair enough reply.......but, to me the figures do not add up.

According to the graph that you posted....

Total unemployed in Cornwall is 9500.

Males.....................................4600

Females..................................3800.

Perhaps you might care to get your calculator out or take your shoes and socks off and do sums.

Maybe there are some unknown species in Cornwall that are unemployed but the rest of the UK are unaware of. :P

I don't need to, instead of manual labour to do crop picking the farmers will have to do what French farmers have done, mechanise.
(There is even a machine close to being introduced that will pick and pack strawberries.)

It looks like Merkel really is in deep trouble now:-

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-42047532

Germany's Merkel suffers blow as FDP pulls out of coalition talks 19 minutes ago From the section Europe
Talks on forming a coalition government in Germany have collapsed, leaving Angela Merkel facing her biggest challenge in 12 years as chancellor.

The free-market liberal FDP pulled out after four weeks of talks with Mrs Merkel's CDU/CSU bloc and the Greens.

FDP leader Christian Lindner said there was "no basis of trust" between them.

What happens next is unclear, but Mrs Merkel has met President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who has the power to call elections.

Yes indeed, one could be forgiven for thinking that the very iffy and precarious position of Angela Merkel has anything to do with Barnier's statement regarding a Brexit trade deal this morning.

The "Strong and stable" situation in Europe is not so certain now is it?

Now is the time for the UK to exert leverage in negotiations and I have no doubt that David Davis is already on the case. ;-)
