Donald trump agrees that there was Russian interference in the election, but he says it did not influence the outcome of the election.

No influence on the outcome because he says so !jk! IMO he has exposed his Mr Smart Mouth immaturity.

Maybe so, but the chinese have a lot to lose potentially, or did you conveniently overlook that FACT ?
Maybe? What about all the US debt China owns? Not a bad hand to hold especially as you have just set up a rival banking system, that incidentally we are also involved in, which was against US wishes. ;-)

Dump that on the markets and the dollar tanks, an act of war given the way the US defends the dollar.

Quite so, no trade....no profit....no profit then no trade, believe me,big businesses will decide the outcome of our Brexit and not the spiteful Eurocrats who dread having the trough taken away from under their snouts....oh dear, what a dreadful day they will have when they come to realise that no ideology can ever compete with pragmatism, practicality and common sense.

Perhaps 2017 election/votes will make them come to their senses?....one can only hope. Shrugs:

Everything will be just fine until you manage to piss Trump off, sonehow. He's capricious, vindictive and he is capable of using his office to "punish" those who he doesn't like. Just do what you're told, Britons and everything will remain sunny for you.
Well ever sat back and thought about it have you ?

You lot created him...And on behalf of the millions upon millions WE THANK YOU !jk!
What lot is that?

America can print as many dollars as they like, because the majority of the world deal in dollars.Ever been abroad and tried to give a local a English pound or a yen note or a rouble . All people want is the dollar. When your money is a global phenomenan, you can be pretty much blasé in your printing.A lot more blasé than the majority of the world.
Well yes I have so tried and can confirm there are really only 3 international currencies. $, € and to a less extent the SF.

But the issue remains that if he prints money (should that be when he prints money?) the $ will fall and USA inflation will result. Even the $ can't defy gravity
It would appear to be the case that things went pear shaped in 2008. Hmm, :rubchin: I wonder if that was Brown's fault. ;-)

Why are you so opposed to people expressing their point of view?
Express away, and exercise your rights to free speech, but why does it always have to be personal? As with netiicet attack the post not the poster , not the politician, but the policies.
I don't recall you springing to the defence of Hilary Clinton or the numerous journalists and other individuals that Donald Trump has personally attacked or condeming Trump for it.

Why is that may I ask?

These anti-democracy threads are wearing a bit thin. He won, Tories won, We are leaving the anti-democratic EU, people need to get over it.

I'm looking forward to being listened to for a while. The US authorities might be looking at the suggestions above.
He won in a dodgy sort of way, with three million fewer votes than his defeated opponent, an FBI director who intervened in the election at the last moment, Russian interference in the election and all sorts of other shenanigans going on. The American voting public knows it too, as Trump has the lowest approval rating going into this Presidency in history. Fear and anger put Trump on the throne. This is not a glory day for democracy.
Manchester City drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur, twice each side hit the back of the net, that City hit the corner flag as well is not a reason to say the score was not 2-2. They are the rules, bleating over the result is childish, he won end of. The rules are the rules, you cannot say that the result would have been different if the rules were different, because people voted according to the agreed rules.

Yeah it was Brown's fault that the meltdown that started in the states spread like wildfire. Notwithstanding the fact that a right winger was in charge of the states at the time.

Never mind the right wing brain deads have to have someone to blame, so Brown will do!

At my school we had a saying "if you can't take it don't dish it out".

Seems that Trump and some of his supporters are yet to learn that lesson, the delicate little snowflakes.

I have no problem at all with the decision of the American voting electorate, it is none of our business.
If the popular vote had translated directly into a Presidency, Clinton would have won by about three million votes. The Americans Electoral College made Trump the President .
That argument .. is SO last century.

You've got form when it comes to profound ignorance in economic matters as the above post demonstrates, tediously we get the usual chest beating and hubris when it comes to trade, however it is now undeniable that the UK will no longer be a gateway into the biggest free market in the World.

Watch where the money shufflers re-congregate because they move to where the action is. Our actions will have serious consequences going forward, but feel free to embarrass yourself further with yet another chest beating reply, we need a laugh.

You play by the rules or you don't play at all.

If it wasn't for the electoral college, why bother campaigning in smaller states ?

When all you have to do is campaign in California and Texas and let them pick the next president hey ?

It is there for a reason.

While your on about fairness, address why UKIP with nearly 4m votes nationally only have 1 MP representing them ?

On the other hand the SNP (Scottish National Party ) led by Jimmy Crankie have 56 MPs with less than 1.5m votes ?

As I said if you don't like the rules DON'T play

It is undefensible that the SNP have over 50 MPs yet UKIP with more votes have only 1

The argument against FPTP and in favour of some form of proportional representation is overwhelming, it also legitimises the world wide protests againt Donald Trump, because basically Hillary got more votes.

Trump seems to be off and running, having just sacked all the US foreign ambassadors so he can appoint his own, and making plans to ease the burden of 'Obamacare' for some hard up states.

It remains to be seen whether these are beneficial or not, and just as he's got 4 years to show what he can do to better the lives of poor US citizens and restore manufacturing and bring businesses back home to the US to reduce unemployment, he'll be judged by results.

As is Obama, who the consensus so far seems to have written off as ineffectual.

The problem results from the referendum we had in 2011 where the UK overwhelmingly rejected AV based elections which if adopted would have curtailed that effect significantly

There is a wonderful irony that referendums that gave UKIP what they always wanted denied them the chance for a position in government (under AV the 2015 election would have required a coalition government)

But back to topic: the issue over Trump's election is whether illegal activity (the hacking and FBI director) enabled his votes to be selectively sought and delivered. Apparently under USA law an illegally won election has to stand. Says so much about the USA and certainly says he has no moral mandate

And lack of a moral mandate is what could get him in the end. It's the crucial factor in impeachments and the way he is going he's going to give legal cause for such very soon

As I said, "Give me Facts ?" Heard your opinions and speeches several thousand times over the years and I must say you don't have a track record on being correct do ya ? :banghead:
So then, is it untrue that thick, lazy and stupid people with no assets have been left behind?

If not I'm at a loss to explain the present ructions in society.
Look. STOP with your opinions and inuendos and give me the FACTS for the umpteenth time of asking ? :banghead:
It's now fairly obvious you can't answer this without compromising your entire argument, job done as far as I'm concerned! ;-)

And remember folks, the World does not owe you a living you really do have to get off your nationalistic arses! :)

Ah but he left office with massive approval ratings for being ineffectual

An irony is his economic success was in no small part down to the Republican Senate forcing him into budget cuts he could never have sold to his own party.

Tigger has, by his own words, lost one job and found another in education. with a pension,so he had no difficulty in finding another one .

Yes I've retired and handed the company over to others who can hopefully take it to the next level, and my current role pays minimum wage (I'm not allowed to work for nothing) and this present part time job offers no pension.

Obama was also left with the clusterfuck of Wall Street after Bush's years of looking the other way, he's done a reasonable job of getting it back in line, but don't tell that to folks like Mr Pirate....

Some cuts, austerity of a sort, were always part of the Obama recovery plan.
Those were mainly State Funding as I understood it, and some public services did see a reduction in spending.
