Donald trump agrees that there was Russian interference in the election, but he says it did not influence the outcome of the election. No influence on the outcome because he says so IMO he has exposed his Mr Smart Mouth immaturity.

Do you call insults and offensive remarks a discussion? They are not intended to influence anything other than to create resentments and to intentionally offend. Discussions are meant to be constructive to find solutions and common ground not to create further divisions. I think your one line questions are intended only to try to catch people out. Give an opinion instead. |

Your right IMO for no head of state can work alone, and like a cabinet meeting must hear many diverse opinions. and solutions. Manifestos are written by committees, and the salient point emphasised by spin doctors. Trump is well supported in what he is doing. I wish him and the American people well. |

There's close and there's rushing over to offer the fastest ever offer of a state visit following it up with a fawning hosting of Trump's chum Bini. Will not help us at all in negotiating wider trade deals and reeks of putting all out eggs in one basket - the basket that says all trade deals are cancellable at 30 days notice if we don't support Trump's other agendas. |

Anyone see that extraordinary press conference by Trump earlier this evening? Shows real signs of being deranged, this could get scary Link to BBC account of the conference: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38998362 And Sky's: http://news.sky.com/story/trump-launches-unprecedented-attack-on-media-10770556 He's been asked several times if his campaign acted illegally and each time he answers by condemning leaks. Doesn't that amount to an admission he acted illegally? Edited by Steve K, Feb 16 2017, 09:03 PM.

I'll tell you what is delusional, sucking up to authority no serious questions asked. You may well be happy to be told what to think and how to act, and even what to say, others though prefer to think for themselves........... |

I saw it, Trump has got a very, very thin skin, perhaps he's used to barking orders and others get to it? A 72 minute rant about all the things that are wrong with the media and how they are being so unfair to him, problems on the horizon include possible undeclared links to Russia via a German bank.............. |

No it does no.t I watched it , and I think he handled the questions well enough I liked the piece where the BBC reporter stood up to ask a question and he saw the BBC as worse than the American news channels. |

I can only conclude you lack any form of meaninful judgement. It was an hour plus car crash of a performance, Trump got elected by appealing to bigotry and stupidity, today we saw he was simply not up to the job, in the company of a seasoned press corps he was erratic and out of his depth, it was like the school bully being brought before adults and shown up for what he really is, Snowflake Trump who can't handle criticism or tough questioning. Embarrassing to watch..........

Embarrassing to watch? It was disturbing to watch. So on several levels is another poster saying they "liked the piece where the BBC reporter stood up to ask a question and he saw the BBC as worse than the American news channels." His handshakes cause me some concern. They have nothing to do with friendship or mutual respect, they are about him taking control and are often accompanied with a patronising hand tapping. He's definitely not a full shilling, and I think that's also true about the majority who voted for him and those who seek to defend him. Edited by C-too, Feb 17 2017, 09:01 AM.

Do you know, I don't need to like or dislike, he is the choice of the US population (according to their electoral system). His policies do not concern me, I wish we had someone who would shake this country up and away from it's idiotic path at the hands of the privileged liberal elite masquerading as caring people. As always these people need to exaggerate and extrapolate to doomsday(and beyond). |

You see the problem for me is that a privileged elite masquerading as caring for people is exactly what Trump is and he's about as well disguised as a giraffe wearing sun glasses trying to get into a polar bears only club. I think his electoral success is a perfect example of how people believe what they want to believe. It's like that friend who has had a string of bad relationships. Then they tell you they've finally found the one. When you meet their new squeeze however you quickly realise that they are just like all the others and this will only end in more heartbreak for your friend. No point trying to tell them though, they'll just shoot the messenger, all you can do is be there to help pick up the pieces when it inevitably goes pear shaped and hope that this time they will finally learn. |

What ever your opinion he is the elected President of the United States of America. I refer to my friend Omar Khayyám The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit {insults, abuse, resentments and derogations} Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line, Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.” |

Nihilism will fix everything, eh? The US may very well never recover from the damage that is being done to her, right now, by this bizarre Presidency. That will not make the world a better place. It will almost certainly result in it being a more dangerous one. |

Here's an interesting piece of news..... Britain is beginning to reassess how reliable an ally the United States is, the Scottish Conservative party leader, Ruth Davidson, has said, in comments that contrast starkly with the official policy of the UK government. I think that Ruth Davidson is not only correct, but also moraly correct, even Conservative Angela Merkel fired warning shots across Trumps bow, suggesting that as leaders of the free world, they all have a responsibilty to treat all citizens equally - very well said Mrs Merkel. Unlike our Prime Minister who dived straight up Trumps arse If the choice is to side with Trumps America or Europe, then sing together "Ode to Joy" |

Here is another wake up call for you, Trumps well oiled machine consists of the Secretary of State contradicting the Presidents stated views, a potential appointee turning down a post because of past comments and branding the media fake when they quote Trumps own words back to him? How much proof do you need that this bloke is simply not up to the job? |

Before we poke our noses into American politics..let me remind you that our PM was not voted in by the masses..Our foreign secretary dyes his hair blonde..and is a bumbling idiot..And Tony (warmonger) Blair is back on the scene..encouraging people to demand another vote for staying in the EU...The speaker in the Commons is a poison dwarf..Our government is lying to us about when they are going to ''deploy Article 50''..doing nothing whatsoever about illegal immigrants.. I think a little jaffa tan is not that important..

That's another '.May well'. that could just as well be a 'May well not'. What damage is he doing to the American people who elected him. He has only been in power for 100 days and I see no sign of any damage. Perhaps you can specify the damage for our better education. He seems to be damaging the left wing idealists and their castles in the air, but that's constructive. Perhaps that is the real problem. The more I see of him the more I warm to him,

He has made a bad start. Considering he is president of the most powerful country in the world, that is not good enough. Add to that the distress he has caused to millions of people in the US and he is obviously cause for concern. But there are none so blind as those who have no wish to see. Those who seek to defend him and then pretend they are not defending him, are the ones practising fake blindness. |

And if Trump resigns, what then ? Balkan's war, NATO. Afghanistan NATO. Iraq, instigated by the international community who then reneged. 2 quick questions. 1} Why were troops placed on the borders of Iraq. 2} Should troops have been placed on the borders of Iraq. |

You condemn a man for wearing fake tan? #thethingswewontsayaboutrace Tony Blair's fake tan and blue contact lenses... It revealed that between 1999-2000 and 2004-05, Downing Street paid out £1,050.22 on cosmetics for the Prime Minister's media appearances. No figures were available before that date. In the past two years, No 10 spent a further £791.20 on make-up artists to make him look his best. By comparison, the average British woman spends £195 a year on make-up and skin care...There was also speculation during the election campaign about whether Mr Blair had been using fake tan..... Irish premier Bertie Ahern, who is reported to have spent more than £115,000 on his appearance since 1997 The prime minister's complexion has attracted much attention during the current campaign. The suggestion, hotly denied, is that he might just have resorted to fake tan to provide a healthy glow. ..... One punter has been so impressed that he has struck a bet with bookmakers William Hill at 5/1 that come polling day Mr Blair will out-bronze even Veritas party leader, and king of the "just back from holiday" sheen, Robert Kilroy-Silk. .... "Mr Blair seems to vary day by day from pasty-faced, to tango orange to deep umber," he said. "At least Mr Kilroy-Silk is a consistently a Mediterranean mahogany. Revelations that Benjamin Netanyahu spent thousands on cosmetics for a diplomatic trip and Robert Harris saying that Tony Blair, “often wore makeup, even when he wasn’t on TV”, are less shocking when you consider the digital age we live in and the pressure to look good in HD. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4711689.stm https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2016/sep/21/has-donald-trump-made-fake-tan-a-symbol-of-power http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1494753/Blairs-make-up-bill-runs-to-1800.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/frontpage/4490737.stm https://twitter.com/captainal84/status/578684925441900544 https://www.ft.com/content/22c33f2c-4748-11e6-8d68-72e9211e86ab Google Books link |

Trump has got small hands, you'd think with his wealth he'd sort it out, that would the stop the nasty MSM making snide comments about his trouser department. I've also noticed he doesn't always wear a wedding ring, perhaps it keeps falling off those small hands?
