Donald trump agrees that there was Russian interference in the election, but he says it did not influence the outcome of the election.

No influence on the outcome because he says so !jk! IMO he has exposed his Mr Smart Mouth immaturity.

They I don't mind. I don't even mind EU immigrants if they have work. What I do mind are MUSLIMS.People who don't share our values.Who take their social and legal ideals from a book.

And most importantly of all WANT TO KILL ME. Now I wonder why I don't like them ? what do you think.

PS. At least the commonwealth has a large number of Christians with our values who integrate, and can speak English.
Evidence please that all or even any significant % of Muslims want to kill you

Go on... You made that up, headmistress has really been threatened here though. It seems teaching western values is not welcome.
No it's true, we caught one of them riding his bike. ::)

So basically you tar everyone with the same brush? No surprises here.

So your point is that you dont want brown people touching your spuds?
Oh the race card! I don't care who handles my food, I'm a lefty remember?

The rather unpleasant fact is that region will shortly be in direct competition with the highly automated Dutch agriculture sector, so unless farmer Giles automates as well you might be seeing those brown faces, unless as mentioned the locals can take this on.

You were the one complaining about commonwealth migrants not me. Maybe you are bigot/ curious.
The rather unpleasant fact for you is that seasonal agricultural worker probably isnt going to be an issue . No matter how much you want it to be.

What is it with Trump and his made up terrorist events. We had the Bowling Green massacre that wasn't and yesterday he says "You look at what's happening in Germany, you look at what's happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this. Sweden."

But of course there was no such attack

They should make a film about Trump's first weeks in office. They could call it La La Land except seems that's been taken.

So 'Bonkers Lying Slimeball in Washington' it'll have to be then

Your argument is nonsensical

The idea that a large country can take more refugees because it has more room is crazy, think about it, the 25,000 Syrian refugees which Canada is welcoming before the end of February are not going to live in the wilderness, in the forrests, mountains, wide open glaciers or the expanse of frozen wastelands, they are going to live in existing towns and city's.

The population of Canada is almost half that of the United Kingdom, with the infastructure, resources and public services to service that population, the number of schools, police, hospitals and teachers is not dependant on how much room there is, it is dependent on how big your population is.

The attitude's to citizenship, migrants, immigrants and refugees is very very different in Canada, it is a more tollerant nation, more welcoming, and a stark contrast to this country where the attitude to people looking for help or refuge is often simply disgraceful and damned right nasty.

Tell you what.

Your so clever you do the maths.

As for evidence, what a stupid question. Your just being pedantic now.

Don't know of many Sikhs or Hindus who wanna kill me,do you.

If you want an answer to your question, best you go to Raqqa and ask them,if that don't work try Mosul.Better still go camping in Libya.

What a silly question "Proof please" Jesus Christ  :banghead:

PS. If you don't find a significant % there, you could always go sight seeing in Yemen or for real fun try Somalia.

The weird part is that, because these nonevents are not being covered by the mainstream media, they are therefore "fake news" purveyors.. The erosion of what to believe and from whom to believe it is very destructive already and it threatens democracy itself.

I've heard it all now, fake tans determine ones character. Listen to yourselves.
Fake tans badly administered must say something about the man, especially when his other idiosyncrasies are taken into account.
He's fat, he has a dodgy hair cut, he shoots from the hip (says it how he sees it), is obviously a bit shallow to believe a beautiful woman is an essential fashion accompaniment. How refreshing a typical, honest bloke. Quite a large target for those who need one. Now what does the average British Bloke think about his policies on immigration and that the safety of the country comes first? Safety, skin colour, safety, skin colour, tough one for some???

Honest?

His comments about an attack in Sweden? Attendance figures for his inauguration? Both demonstrably untrue.

As for his reputation for straight talking, well he's not so good at straight listening is he? In fact he seems incredibly thin skinned, can dish it out but can't take it.

That's a sign of a bully and you know what they say about what bullies are at heart.

A country with no need for immigrants / migrants ?

My God, if all the foreign born people suddenly left the UK tomorrow, the NHS would colapse and cease functioning, professional football (soccer) would be in crisis, buses would not operate, hotels and restaurants would close down, crops would rot in the ground, whole industries such as the British salad veg industry would end.

We would lose out in science, medicine, engineering, pharmaceuticals, and some of the greastest minds in the world would no longer be in our universities and learning institutions.

I do not believe in an open-door immigration policy, and there has to be limitations, but to refuse to take in children from a war zone is damned right disgraceful, and you have the bear faced cheek and audacity to call us a "Christian nation", we are a purely evil nation, one of the worst in Europe, our government could learn from our cousens in Canada.
Then maybe we could get all our wanna be nurses and doctors on their studies.Instead of taking immigrants.Would'nt that be a marvelous thing, don't ya think !clp!
The problem with your type is that you have no understanding of the problems, or of reality

There have not been enough British born or trained doctors since the 1960s, there are not enough British born people wanting to be nurses, our NHS cannot cope or manage without foreign doctors or nurses.

The suggestion that foreign health care professionals are taking jobs that British born people could take is not true, in fact it is a long way from the truth, it is nonsense, and inteligent people get pissed off at the likes of you decrying people who are here making a difference, we appreciate such people and thank them for been here.

Instead of making pointless insulting remarks, why not actually address the issue at hand, or is that a bit too difficult for you. ?

For the record I have helped asylum seekers, and I would gladly give up a spare room to give temporary accomodation to people fleeing from war, especially if it involved a child or children.

I have some sympathy with people's concerns over immigration, in my case I have my own concerns especially about Muslim immigration. This is connected to my dislike of the self-indoctrinating nature of Islam that makes Islam a religious cult that creates difficulties for its members to think outside of the box.
As we see all too often, when this indoctrination goes wrong we witness the extremes of evil. I don't dispute for one second that most Muslims are like the rest of us, they just want to live in peace.

None of that alters my view that Trump is a wild man who over simplifies things. IMO he suffers from stunted logic. One of his worst traits being his arrogant denigration of anyone or anything that dares to dispute his ideas. That is so fascistic in nature.

Well to some extent it is already happening in America, everything and everyone who disagrees with Trump is fair game for denigration, dismissal and rejection.
It is the epitome of arrogance. A nonsense defended by the naïve, the misguided and those who turn a blind eye to the damage this threatens to do to democracy.

Corruption and control of the media? I think that in many ways they are corrupted already and go too far y in
trying to influence peoples minds. Now before jumping back in, why do we so often see claims by people that the Mail and Express or Mirror are corrupted in their news reporting and influencing the peoples choices? It always has to be the "right wing press" that has the problem not the left wing press which is invariably squeaky clean compared with the ones mentioned.
There have been reported incidents of the press and TV making up stories and embellishing facts.

Why do we have a press at all? Because they are a business, out to make a profit, with career journalists out to make a living. How do they do that? By selling more newspapers and the advertising space, and the journalist writing stories that makes them money.
Then you have to ask the question are they all totally honest and the answer has to be no. for they are like the rest of us from totally honest to the dishonest in various degrees. If Trumps attack on the reporting media has an effect in getting more truth than made up stories who are we to complain?
Do be careful that your not attacking Trump for your own personal reasons ,and just because you don't like his policies. Let them remain factual and according to the truth. We do0 not know how well or badly he will turn out to be, and the honest position is to wait and see, for factually there is nothing else we can do.

And signs are that 'those within' are getting sick of his idiocies as they can't abide the world wide ridicule it exposes them to

For all its many faults the media is best placed to hold government to account.

As to Trump making the media more honest, I'm sorry but that is nonsensical. Trump hasn't attacked the media for dishonest reporting, he's attacked them for reporting his dishonesty. Trump and/or his administration have said a number of things already that are demonstrably untrue.

Do you honestly want the media just to ignore this because you like/agree with Trump?

Trump's only chance of 'success' is if those within rein in his simplistic un-thought-out approach to the job.
Yep

And signs are that 'those within' are getting sick of his idiocies as they can't abide the world wide ridicule it exposes them to

So we should keep it up. Much though it seems Tyto would rather we didn't so Trump can trample 70+ years of higher civilisation into the dirt.
We? Do you actually believe you can influence the outcome with anti Trump chatter?
Its a matter for the American people to judge and deal with not your 'we'.
For all the antagonism, the "we " are not having much effect on our own Brexit result, ,something they have spent so much time trying to undermine. Its not the reason and discussion that anyone can object to, but the delusion that we have any effect on outcomes.

The successful people are those that lead the way and have results, like Farrage and May and even Trump, whist the rest give real support or opposition only in the ballot box.

As I've said before "every little helps" and while yes it is for the USA to judge then they do to an extent take account of wider world opinion

The question you need to answer is why your every little that helps appears to the rest of us to be intended to help a lying, misogynistic, bigoted would be despot reverse the 70+ years of progress of civilised world from the abyss that was WW2

If you wanted to communicate that you personally wish for such a reverse to that abyss you really couldn't do a better job.

Honest objective reporting is essential, but what if the owners are biased and slant the news only to support their own view of politics? Would you like that if their view was not your view? Are not the attacks on the 'right wing' press because because they are seen as having undue influence? Didn't I see a post today complaining about Fox news, whilst Trump compared the BBC with CNN for their bias?

Do you really want a free press or only the free press that reports according to your own ideals? Don't we normally buy or read a paper that does? How often have people said they would never read the Mail for eg?

Why do we have a press at all?
Given all of the national press seems to have forgotten the editors code of practice and the journalists code of practice, I have been asking myself that question for over three decades.

I take it that you're a supporter of Mosley's lot of press censors then ?

I'm very much against the idealistic left that I see has been so damaging to the world, our country and our society for years. I see it as a failing concept , one that panders to minorities against the desires of the majority, and is in itself hugely divisive
. I am more than pleased to see the pendulum swing back to the centre ground or even a bit beyond.
If the idealistic left ideals had been wanted and successful European nations would not be swinging to the right, Brexit would not have succeeded, Trump would not have been elected and Corbyn would be high in the polls.
Don't blame me blame yourselves' The idealists are facing a cause and effect, with the cause being themselves and their dictatorial demands, and the effect the consequences.

So well done Farrage, Trump, Viktor Orban, Geert Wilders, Le Pen, and Nikolaos Michaloliakos.

All media outlets are biased, human nature makes this inevitable. Like I said the media has its many faults but still serves an essential function.

Some of the media will be/are biased against Trump, some will be biased in favour of him. He's never complained about the latter and the former is a fact of life for a President. You will inevitably come in for media criticism, some of it fair, some of it unfair, if you can't stand the heat......

I want a free press which does not yet exist in Britain, which is why I want Leveson to be fully implemented with all newspapers legally obliged to be under IMPRESS complaints procedures.
I do not mind the press being partisan and or biased. What I do object to is the lies, propaganda and nasty not very veiled implications.

So 'Bonkers Lying Slimeball in Washington' it'll have to be then
The weird part is that, because these nonevents are not being covered by the mainstream media, they are therefore "fake news" purveyors.. The erosion of what to believe and from whom to believe it is very destructive already and it threatens democracy itself.
And Trump has spoken further about these events "happening last night in Sweden"

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/833435244451753984

Quote:

My statement as to what's happening in Sweden was in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden.

!jk!

The idiot thought he was listening to live coverage. I really worry what would happen if Fox News broadcast an article about the 1962 Cuba crisis or even that War of the Worlds radio broadcast from the 30s.
Now your just being silly.Admit it and apologise, now there's a good fellow ;D

Can you honestly not see how corruption or control of the media by the incumbent government, or even an opposition party could undermine democracy?

Why have you not mentioned the main challenger to the evil Merkel?

He's further left than her and says he will futher liberalise society and business, some polls even have him in front.

Don't know how Germany is doing economically though. ;-)
