Donald trump agrees that there was Russian interference in the election, but he says it did not influence the outcome of the election.

No influence on the outcome because he says so !jk! IMO he has exposed his Mr Smart Mouth immaturity.

Wonderful to see Trump insult London Mayor Saddiq Khan because he didn't understand the context of Khan's speech, even more wondeful that he failed to understand a dignified response and dug an even deeper hole by making another crass comment.

Good to see May siding with Khan though, after being prompted at least three times.....
Yes way too late she's realising what an utter shit she rushed to cuddle up to

Trump is of course sweating big time and lashing out at anyone and anything because in just 3 days time ex FBI head Comey takes the stand

Trump's recent Twitter twatterings have all the hallmarks of someone about to have a breakdown

TICK-TOCK-TICK-TOCK.

Impeachment gets closer by the hour.

Big day tomorrow for Trump with Comey said to be testifying that Trump did indeed try to get him to drop an FBI investigation

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40192255

Quote:

Former FBI Director James Comey will testify to Congress on Thursday that President Donald Trump told him at a dinner: "I expect loyalty."

According to his opening statement, Mr Comey will also say the president asked him to drop an inquiry into fired National Security Adviser Mike Flynn.

Been a tough day at the office for Trump

He's being sued by two state Attorney Generals for accepting illegal payments http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40250700

His travel ban has yet again been thrown out by a Fderal Appeals Court http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40252724

His unpopularity hits near record levels http://www.gallup.com/poll/201617/gallup-daily-trump-job-approval.aspx

And Melania has finally moved into the White House so that should curtail his pussy grabbing

If Carlsberg did US News days . . . .

So, what are Donald's plans for the Fourth of July?

A missile parade on the National Mall with a 10,000 man march-past?

Maybe, next year when the swamp is fully drained and this inconvenient "republic" thing is done away with.

Whatever he does, it'll be huge.

It'll be the greatest parade anyone has ever seen!

So what does that tell you about the mindset that put him in the position he is in?

Are they as deluded as the momentum movement?

Are you happy to have a wet rag as the president of the most powerful nation on earth deal with the nutjob that leads the PRNK or would you rather have someone who IS willing to grasp the nettle and stops this nuclear madness now before it get's out of hand and other nations are drawn unwillingly into this what can only be termed as a fiasco that has been ignored for too long.

We have a similar nutjob here in the wings who is only too willing to do away with our protection and the button that puts it into action.

Now, I am a pacifist, always have been, but it is obvious that the NK nutjob cannot be reasoned with and who is also unpredictable.

All war is wrong, but is it always avoidable ?

I suspect war with NK won't happen because of NKs border with China. Perhaps the outcome will be the bombing targeted positions by the US as with the bombing of Syria landing strips for chemical carrying planes ?

Seems very dodgy to me, but who knows what the maverick Trump has in mind.

I see we have more lunacy and arrogance from the white house in the last 24 hours

His planned great idea of common cyber security with Russia has been dropped after even his own party said it was a dumber than dumb plan

And now we know that his son and son in law very much did have meetings with Russians intended to disadvantage the Clinton campaign.

He could well be looking at being out of office by this time next year

The other leaders treated him as if he was radioactive at the G-20. We are maybe witnessing the beginning of the end of Pax Americana.

The Democracies should be thinking seriously about re-arming, right now.

And the UK consider not leaving the EU ?

I suspect the supplies of vodka became a bit stretched in Moscow when they heard the news that the UK had voted to leave the EU.

It must be tough living a lie, like that ... being Trump's press secretary and all. He must have noticed that his nose was getting a little longer, every day, while having to defend the indefensible.

Fortunately, our Parliamentary Press Gallery does not have to get news that has been filtered through Kate Purchase , as is the propaganda spat out by Spicer. She is not well known, here and that position has a much lower profile in Canada.

As for the Pakistani Jeepneys, ... bizarre.

And risky as it raises the impeachment possibility a notch

He's in real danger of getting trapped the way Nixon did. It is looking more and more like IF offences were committed by him and his in the election then they were minor and likely innocently committed so eminently pardonable. BUT not the lying afterwards that sought to cover up these misdemeanours because the liars thought there was a real smoking gun.

And it was the attempted cover up that got Nixon into that resign or be impeached position and it could well do the same for Trump

Bring it on

The deepest inner sanctum of his rapidly growing legal team is probably examining the legality of declaring himself "Protector" (Emperor) of the United States of America. The Roman Republic ended thus and apparently with substantial public support for it, too.

Trump must really envy Putin, who has essentially declared himself to be President for Life. They don't use the term Tzar (yet), presumably because of some lingering negative connotations associated with the title.

Is that a fair comparison? Putin is undoubtedly very popular in Russia whereas Trump is very unpopular in the USA

Curious isn't it. The Russian media does nothing but praise Putin whereas the media in the US does nothing but vilify him. They put column after column of 'news' that his son had a meeting with a Russian to find out dirt against Clinton .
All we had the other week was columns of ' news' about his trip to Paris and what he said to the presidents mum wife. Whereas our media is printing ' news' about how he should never be allowed to visit here. It's all contrived drivel and hypocrisy.
Surely there is more newsworthy stuff against Trump. I'll listen when there is real evidence that Trump is more of a liability to the West than that harridan Clinton

It's hard to avoid the conclusion that Trump is unlikely to serve his full term. Like a Lancaster caught in the searchlights, he is ducking and diving in an attempt to throw them off, but he is pinned down, and it is surely only a matter of time before the flak gets a direct hit. Which leads to the question of succession. Enter Mike Pense, now Vice President, and the man who will become President if Trump falls. Could it be that it is better to have the devil you know?
Pense is a queer fish; an old school republican. Anti abortion, anti LGBT rights, sceptical on climate change, pro firearm possession (he wants to legalise the right to bear arms in public), and pro the Iraq war . He is also a "young earth creationist", and thinks that Darwin was wrong.

And, according to the Huffington Post, he has misused political donations in the past to pay his mortgage, his credit card bills his groceries, and his wife's car payments. American politics, eh?

Mike Pence is an extreme right winger with Tea Party allegiances and some very reactionary views. But for all of that he's honest and is a politician that knows he has to lead for the many not the few. And unlike Trump, Pence can be trusted with scissors
