Donald trump agrees that there was Russian interference in the election, but he says it did not influence the outcome of the election.

No influence on the outcome because he says so !jk! IMO he has exposed his Mr Smart Mouth immaturity.

And here we see Trump fulfilling his promise to drain the swamp and stand up to the elite by giving tax cuts to big corporations and the very wealthiest Americans:

Could be a pyrrhic victory for him as it might drag his already low popular support down to the tipping point.

Apparently it's going to add a trillion dollars to the budget deficit.

Correct me if I am wrong, but should the American financial system ever go down the pan, I believe that China would be holding a very large worthless IOU in it's hand.....I doubt if that would be allowed to happen whatever the size of the deficit.

I doubt it and arguably it's a needed move bringing the USA more into line with other developed countries. Taxing company profits harshly is arguably a very poor economic policy as it just drives investments overseas.

But if you cut tax in one area without compensating rises in others and just gamble that the economy will grow to make up is the economics of charlatans.

What he and the Republicans appear to be gambling on is this will result in a once in a lifetime repatriation of monies from USA overseas businesses and that will tide them through the 2018 and 2020 elections. Such a wash back of money could hurt the UK.

Trump seems to be getting very unhinged with more Twitter rants against his own FBI

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-42215767

He's also making two schoolboy mistakes: protesting too much and self contradicting on the record.

Quote:

Donald Trump lashed out at the FBI on Sunday, issuing a fresh denial that he asked former director James Comey to drop an investigation into the conduct of one of his top aides, Michael Flynn.

Quote:

The president's surprising admission in a tweet on Saturday - that he knew Mr Flynn had lied to the FBI when he fired him - contradicted his own account from the time, and may have added weight to accusations that he obstructed justice.

Just impeach him. How much damage could Pence really do in 3 years?

In my opinion, Blair was good for a year, as for Brown, he should have stuck to his History degree and left economics and aspirations of Grandeur to others.

He probably meant well, but domestically speaking he was at best....inept.

Suffice to say that I completely disagree!

edit to add ....... as would most in the know, including just about every other Chancellor since including many foreigners.
You may not know it but D Cameron as a junior minister (researcher ib) once described G Brown as "brilliant".
But what does he know?
D Cameron third worst PM in modern history

Thanks to Clegg he just beat out two other Tory PMs.

I know not, but in the past, she has received even less savoury Characters on state trips.....the precedent has been set.

Perhaps I should have said that that the "President" has been set. ;D

Is there an official procedure for removing an American President who has lost his marbles?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-42250399

Jerusalem Trump: US recognition 'kiss of death' for peace process 28 minutes ago

An expected announcement by President Donald Trump that the US will become the first country to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital has been dubbed a "kiss of death" for the Middle East peace process by the Palestinians.

Mr Trump will also start the process of moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The Truth About Jerusalem

So Obama bush and Clinton all declared that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel.
The way I see it is that Trump has done this for two reasons.

1.....this was decided in 1995 and previous US presidents have kicked the can down the road, whereas Trump included this during his campaign and being a decisive man (come what may) he is endeavouring to fullfil his promises.

2......As I understand it, if this action is not taken during Trumps term of office then the expiry date to do so kicks in.

My own views on whether or not it is the right decision are irrelevant.

The tide seems to be turning against Trump.

"The last time Alabama had a Democratic US senator was 25 years ago.
Since then the state has been moving steadily to the right - in 2016, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton there by nearly 30 points.
There are few, if any, US states as ruby-red conservative. And yet a plurality of voters have sent Democrat Doug Jones to the US Senate".

The impeachment risk to Trump has gone up another notch as the whole of the house and 8 republican senators are up for re-election next November and the more Trump seems to be a threat to their re-election the more they'll be tempted to vote him out if for example the FBI does show he was in concert with Putin

I see Trump has claimed this defeat actually proved that he was right because he initially backed Moore's Republican opponent Luther Strange.

So a candidate he backed losing proves he was right because he previously backed another candidate who also lost. Brilliant.

So much winning 😂

Are there no limits to Trump's self centred shallowness?

Multiple deaths in a USA train crash and what is his first reaction? Grief? Sympathy? Of course not we're talking of the ultimate git here

Donald Trump

The train accident that just occurred in DuPont, WA shows more than ever why our soon to be submitted infrastructure plan must be approved quickly. Seven trillion dollars spent in the Middle East while our roads, bridges, tunnels, railways (and more) crumble! Not for long!

The train that crashed is a brand new train on new track on it's maiden run. The Hillbillies from Bugtussle who make up his power base are not capable of detecting the irony.

Talking of Trump...there was a report out that Rupert Murdoch called Trump a f...... idiot.
But there was a rather interesting snippet that surfaced and everyone seems to have ignored it, yet it is IMO more important than a billionaire calling another billionaire names.
This is it

The book records Murdoch’s reply: “Donald, for eight years these guys had Obama in their pocket. They practically ran the administration. They don’t need your help.”
The

Murdoch called Trump an idiot because he misread the situation.

This is the thing, lefties are so busy hating Trump that they didn’t see the bit where Murdoch reveals their hero to be in the pockets of rich people...
