Donald trump agrees that there was Russian interference in the election, but he says it did not influence the outcome of the election.

No influence on the outcome because he says so !jk! IMO he has exposed his Mr Smart Mouth immaturity.

Most don't. But cheap people say they always do despite being shown up time after time as not knowing what they are talking about and just peddling bitter and twisted lies themselves.

But Trump lies all the time. If you can't see the difference between his behaviour and main stream politicians then that's your loss.

Well if knowing that politicians have make promises that they can't fulfill makes me cheap then send me down to the pound shop..
Perhaps you could look up the word 'lie' in a dictionary. It does not mean to make a mistake. It is all about fundamental dishonesty.

Quote:

How about Ms May? Do you think that she believes that the problems in the NHS is down to poor practices or that she is pulling our legs?

As I've posted before, May has form for telling lies - I didn't say all politicians are absolved from the allegation. Remember the cat? Remember her blaming the ECtHR when she knew it was her team that had got the paperwork wrong.

She's less dishonest than Boris and Gove and all of them are a lot less dishonest than Trump who just tells lie after lie after lie to try and cover up his previous lies.

I think that politicians know what is practical and what is not. You should look up the word naive in the dictionary.
Now I've pointed out three outright lies by three politicians you are going to tell me that they are in the minority and there is arbitrary levels of lying..set by you. Ffs...

I don't think that the Russians were afraid of Reagan, spacifically but of his handlers.

Let's say they were afraid of the Reagan narrative.
Actually, no.They were afraid of people like Václav Havel, Lech Walesa and the fed-up peoples that they represented, and so they should have been. Despite the Russians best efforts , the Eastern European citizenry dismantled the Soviet fortress in very short order, with Ronald Reagan and his mercy band of of Hitler Youth as almost completely irrelevant to the final outcome.

Stop peddling Russia is going to invade,it is NOT. Countries do not commit suicide intentionally. Nothing is going to happen at all,the sooner you come to your senses over Putin and Russia the better. All Russia wants is a buffer zone from the west, just like the Americans with the Bay of Pigs. If you want to stop WW3 maybe you should look to your own side first,EU expansion to name just one
Perhaps you should knock the fake news sites on the head for a while and go back to the MSM for a much needed freshen up?

Of course many of these so called "buffer states" want fuck all to do with a corrupt and authoritarian Russia, are you suggesting that these nations or peoples should be sacrificed just to keep Putin happy? If Russia had an open society and wasn't run like version of the Mafia it would not feel the need for buffer states, the fact it feels this way is an indication of it's deep seated insecurity and it's constant need to seemingly prove itself, it will not end well for Russia and probably everyone else.

One day you might actually wake up and take all this on board
You keep trying to defend your failed EU !jk! I will stick to common sense and reason. Do you know what would happen if Russia invaded one of these small states.. FOOKALL that's what. Your precious EU would do fookall, neither would the Americans.

Oh there will be some chest beating and a few thousand people killed, but in the great scheme of things, not really a major disaster,is it ?

When you come out of LA LA LAND let me know.I will teach you a few things about world politics

The EU certainly will not fight to save little ol Latvia,Lithuania etc, etc, etc .

1. They would get fooked over (if you are in denial, you really have lost it )

2. They are Skint ( Takes a lot of money to fight a major conflict )

3. Do you really think the people of the West would risk a nuclear war over Latvia etc etc

4. The same goes for the Americans (sure throw a few tanks and soldiers in,look the part, they would be expendable )

5. Do you think the American people give a flying fook about countries, the majority have never heard of.

So you tell me,what kind of a war do you want ? (Conventional,Nuclear,Skirmish ) what

Because you fookin lot will not be happy until you get one and get fooked over

The issue of Crimea is not the issue
Crimea is ( or was ) the only province of Ukraine which had a majority ethnic Russian population, and I believe that it is possible for Europe and Ukraine to be pragmatic and see that by accepting Russia's ilegal occupation in return for Russia halting its interference in other Ukrainian provinces ( Luhansk and Donetsk ), a long term deal could be struck in bringing peace.
Europwe however will not accept giving way to Russia's continued interference in the disputed provinces, and will not lift the sanctions, regardless of what Trump thinks or does.
This is my point - that there seems to be potential for a very serious split between Europe and Trump's America, which in turn would jeopordise the NATO alliance.
Sacrificing what is part of Ukraine with a majority ethnic Ukrainian people is not acceptable, and if Mr Trump shows sympathy to Putin, then he is no friend of either Europe or the rule of law, and Teressa May MUST NOT side with such ideas.
Russia was never going to let Ukraine out of its sphere of influence especially because of its military presence in Crimea. Russia has made it clear that they believe the EU and the US had no right to support a coup in Ukraine .
So I doubt that they would accept they have acted illegally anyway.
Trump may see Russia as a future asset to the US and Europe as a drain in military resources.
The US never was a friend of Europe. Europe was and still is a lieutenant to the US.
If both the people and government of Ukraine decide they do not wish to be part of the sphere of influence of Russia, then they wont be part of it; The aspirations, wishes and desires of Ukrainians has nothing to do with Russia.

Neither the United States or EU have ever supported a coup, because there has not been a coup in Ukraine, President Yanukovych fled the country after opposition parties in the democratically elected Parliament had indicated they would vote on impeaching him - most of his ministers simply disappeared.

Your last two lines "Trump may see Russia as a future asset to the US and Europe as a drain in military resources. The US never was a friend of Europe. Europe was and still is a lieutenant to the US"

Precisely

As stated - Europe will not sacrifice The Ukraine and its people simply to please either Putin or Trump, there are several very strong principles here, namely the rule of law, the democratic and legitimate rights of a nation, its people and its sovereignty.

If ever there was a very good reason for Europe to forge its own military co-operation and alliance, then this is it, and I for one will always be on the side of what is right.

You appear to suggest that Europe will somehow fall into line, I can asure you that this will not happen, mainly because on this issue, Europe has "right" on its side.
President Yanukovych was in favour of greater trading relationship with the EU, as too were many of the people of the Ukraine.

Trading negotiations were taking place but when Yanukovych backed out of these negotiations with the EU, that is when the people turned against him.

Probably in the shed with the H&E back numbers.
Lets hope the earlier publication has less stain damage, Putin is an opportunist who will take the proverbial mile if you give him an inch, Dopey Donald currently seems unaware of this despite wiser council.
He's a viper with a viper's background in IIRC the particularly evil Stasi.

Are you suggesting that we should "empathetically" accept a "degree" of lying just because we "know" that all or some politicians indulge in it and that the practice is part and parcel of politics?

Or should we expect more of our politicians and hold them to account when it comes to the word "honourable"?

Not at all, please read what I post

Lying is unacceptable so is lying about people supposedly lying. Perhaps you recall the numerous times posters here have accused Cameron of lying and when challenged dribbled out a series of their lies about what he said and blatant misrepresentation of misforecasts as lies.

Gansao digs up 3 iffy comments (may or may not have been lies) from 50 years of politics in the USA and UK and decides that's proof that all politicians lie all the time. Frankly that's a clearer lie than the 3 examples he came up with.

The Reagan narrative , the purpose of the cod war, was to undermine the ability of the Russians to wage war and win it
In their attempts to out design and out perform the USA war machine, they bankrupted their nation, for the USA with the Wests support were much richer. and could invest far more than the Russians, and for much longer.
It led to the break up of the USSR, which is what Putin is trying to rebuild.

It was indeed at that point when the people of The Ukraine took to the streets in their millions, all across the country, but in particular in Maiden Square in Kiev.

This uprising had absolutely nothing what so ever to do with America, NATO, the CIA or outside influence of any kind, it was purely and simply Ukrainian people of all walks of life wanting a better way of life away from the old, corrupt and failed Soviet / Russian era.

My whole point here is that if Trump wishes to sacrifice the Ukrainian people in some sort of farcical chess game with bully boy Putin, then dont expect Europe to go along with it, and further more, if Teressa May sides with such a dirty plan, then perhaps we need an uprising here too.

:nono: as Krugerman pointed out, it was all caused when Yanukovich double crossed his own electorate by campaigning to have closer ties with the EU, got so elected and then when the EU said 'only if you stop imprisoning political opponents to shut them up' he reversed and cuddled up to Putin. In the end his own party voted him out of office.

Reality is reality, and facts backed by lots and lots and lots of evidence are facts, the revisionist and alternative version of history in this instance is the one as put forward by Russia, Nigel Farage and probably Donald Trump ( and all other monster raving lunatics ).

It is an established and widely known fact amongst everyone with half a brain, that many many Ukrainians have wanted to have closer ties to Europe and cut ties with Russia, only an absolute idiot would even attempt to deny this.

Not even the CIA or the EU could mobilise millions of ordinary Ukrainians onto the streets in protest at been double crossed by Viktor Yanukovych, this is conspiracy theory at its absolute most ridiculous.

At the time of the uprising by separatists in the east, the Pew Institute conducted a comprehensive survey ( The Pew Institute is the most respected NON-PARTISAN research institute in the world ), some of its findings are here :

Even in the east, a minority backs an alliance with Russia

Two-thirds of Ukrainians back sanctions against Russia, CNN poll finds
Ukrainians tend to see Putin as dangerous and strong, and Obama as friendly

More than half of Ukrainians say the country should ally with Europe

You have well and truly fell under the spell of the Denigrator General.

I have asked you once before for irrefutable evidence, you failed to supply any.
What do you want pictures

No proof will ever be good enough for you, will it ?

You don't like the questions and you certainly don't like the answers.Your in total denial.

You want proof, go see the FBI.
Exactly, you are unable to post verifiable examples which gives the impression you prefer Trump's insinuations.

You keep trying to defend your failed EU !jk! I will stick to common sense and reason. Do you know what would happen if Russia invaded one of these small states.. FOOKALL that's what. Your precious EU would do fookall, neither would the Americans.

So you tell me,what kind of a war do you want ? (Conventional,Nuclear,Skirmish ) what

Because you fookin lot will not be happy until you get one and get fooked over
As these days you are apparently a fan of barking@themoondot.com and a subscriber to the Alex Jones appreciation society, as opposed the the regular news, you may have missed the recent events in Poland which is currently hosting an increasing number of US crack troops and welcomed an armoured brigade this very week, so any Russian incursions into Poland is likely to see Russians directly confronting American soldiers.

I of course realise you'd shit yourself at the thought of the mighty Vladimir's forces opposing you so it's just as well you are no longer in the front line............

LOL you have no fookin clue,do you ?

When bombs and bullets start flying I expect you or your son to be in the front line, because mine fookin will.

I have done my bit and it's not nice, and frankly with the type of fookin idiots we got now (safe spaces, micro aggression ) I don't hold up much hope for the west,do you ? (Thanks to your kind of ideology )

PS. YOU WANT A WAR,YOU GO FOOKIN FIGHT IT.Because if I have anything to do with it,my lads won't be going just to please you fookin lot

White feather stuff, try and join a few dots here, if you can manage it of course, Russian forces attacking US forces in a NATO country would eventually be the end of Putin and probably the Russia you know and love.

It was exposed as false by the Politifact link I posted and your supposed rebuttal was to post an earlier story by a known electoral criminal

See if you can get another poster to say we should trust your convict as a source

The thing with Russia is it's instability which it likes to export. Throughout it's history power has eventually been concentrated in the hands of the few and at the expense of the many, the same is happening today. A likely attack on a NATO country would see Russia implode from within, tens of millions of dirt poor Russians would have little to lose.
