This day 18 years ago my life completely changed. I am reminded everyday how lucky I was. What changed yours?

Methinks I best I have split that lot the Tarzan discussion out. We (and that includes me) have been less than fair to Gnikks thread :-[

I do not know how to describe a life event other than to say that every morning I wake up I am as wealthy as the multi millionaire who died in their sleep.

Now hold on a mo,......it was only recently, that a thread claiming that we were all descended in one form or another from the African continent was aired on this forum........so who is right, wrong or just confused?

Whilst here I must recount about my "eccentic" great aunty Peg from Whitehaven, she was a lifelong District nurse until she was sectioned after walking down the high street with a carrier bag chock a block with cash in notes and scattering handfuls as she went.

When she used to come and visit us (unannounced) darn sarf, she would bring no luggage but would wear layers of clothing including overcoats.....as mad as a march hare imo.

But she did make us laugh, fxxk knows what happened to her. !!===

I had a horrible experience..I wasn't used to pissing in a commode so I tried to throw it out of the window and a giant statue of Mother Mary went out with it.. a giant crash onto the foyer..

Sounds like a very sad life but who am I to judge and clearly I have no idea how she saw her life and in the end that is what matters.

Mrs K recently inherited a tidy sum (not in your inheritance league though) from her uncle. His house wasn't full of crucifixes though, just ankle deep in used Kleenex and rotting food everywhere. :nono:

In my church, we would have baptized them in mint sauce!

Our first born came on All Saints Day and it was the happiest day of my life. I remember thanking the Jack-o-Iantern for keeping our house safe when I got back from the hospital in the wee hours of Nov 1st.

My other one was born on Waitangi day and I have let him know that it should be good for a few free rounds if he ever finds himself down in New Zealand in February.

She was happy in her own strange way...however I must admit it wasn't to everyone's taste..Have you ever seen that program called ''Hoarders?'' when old people or middle age in some cases live in a house so full of rubbish that they can't get around..They won't throw anything away..The most horrific one was an old lady who used to sit in her kitchen surrounded by rotten food..and she used to feed the rats?

That was a token amount she left me...Her massive house...antique furniture..and probably bank accounts were all left to the Church..She was a maiden Aunt and I think she thought of me as a daughter...(even though I did knock the Virgin Mary out of the window!)

A rather money grabbing colleague of mine and his wife befriended a widow . They soon cadged her late husbands car off her. He told me that she Promised to leave them her house after she died.
Anyway she did die and they both found her dead in the house that she promised them.
According to him they stepped over her dead body and looked through her cupboards and drawers. They were overjoyed to find that she had several bank accounts that total ...hundreds of thousands of pounds.
They took off some rings off her fingers ..really ....and called an ambulance...this is true...he told me this..
He told another work colleague that they were upset that she had soiled herself and how awful it was for her..And in the next breath went on about how her house and money plus his house and another house left to him and his wife would make him a millionaire.
Apparently he got a phone call while at work and turned ashen. His wife told him that she had left her money to an an animal care charity ( I don’t know which one ) . They told her that they had changed the locks and they were not allowed to enter the house .
His wife tried to get some money from them for the wake but they were not forthcoming.
This is true .
The old lady had worked them out and cadged Sunday dinners from them on a promise of riches ..knowing that they never was going to get her house and money.
I reckoned she sussed them out when they pressed her to give them the car..
