To:Mr. Carlo Aldren Chua. Well first of all its not for you, its for the student. FYI I think it would be best if you post what are the best technology that you knew in which the student can use eventually sa ila thesis or project or anything. I was just suggesting on what are possible magustuhan nila. Share man da bla imo knowledge instead of criticizing each other here tutal Hardcore Software Developer ka man ng Bacolod. FYI, damu sa Bacolod Software Development Company/team. Let me know if you need some names, i can send it to. |

The !#*$ of being a hardcore software developer!!! No such thing here in Bacolod!!! All of us here are nothing but traditional programmers!!! We were taught that way!!! This is a $*&!@##@!! forumn...EXPRESS YOURSELF... Nothing personal...frustrated lang...This is the reality...My american friend was right!!! Our Education here is going in the wrong direction!!! Especially in IT....Just want to let everybody know it... The best way you can do is not to send tips about a language...but about how to develop software...project management, etc...I know for a fact that 75% is documentation and only 25% is coding...you think thats how we are taught here? Doesnt matter what *#$!@#! language were using, what is important is we develop software the right way... |

Hmm... Probably... I think you have a point. Our education here cant fit the industry standards. But who should we blame for this? the teachers or the students or nobody?
In order to fully understand software development, we need to have real world experience.. But how could we have this? Education can't give us real world experience. ![]() Btw, this topic has been discussed in the previous threads.. Try to look at these link: Programming Language Ang isa ara sa thesis proposal na thread.. Sorry but I cant find the thread eh.. |

Then if you feel that way, isnt it na dapat u lead the way to change? U know exactly what i mean, sa La Salle b4 take it or leave it may ara gid na ala gana mag Programming eventhough they took BSCS. Classmate man ta ayhan. Mas pabor pa ang iban nga Course Subject like Biology, Philosophy, etc..etc.. Even mga teacher sa Lasalle, gina try na nila mag change ang mga student to learn more and more. And amo man ina gani gina pakita ta d sa Forum sa Student to inspire them para mag cge cge tuon programming or any related areas sina. Amo man ina gani gina invite ko ang iban na nga IT Related people, to contribute something in here, so students in Lasalle will be more studious and might ask some soon sa mga problema nila Technically and basi maka sabat man ang mga Graduates na. Cge have a nice day and take it easy. Dont agrevate yourself sa frustration. Cheer up La Salle. And by the way, if you people ask me, mas Astig pa gyapon ang Pinoy sa Programming compare to other ethnic groups! I saw in Forums, astig ang Pinoy! Am proud of it! |

This thread is going way off-topic ... shouldn't this be about SMTP? @batousai I'm giving you a warning for violating multiple forum rules... offensive post, typing in all caps, and off topic posting under Microsoft Visual Studio forum. I respect your right of expression but when you registered an account in this forum you agreed to submit yourself to its rules and regulations. I believe SMTP is a worthwhile topic to discuss in this forum. Yes it's true that it's not a new technology but this is the Student Section and this is supposed to be the place for students to find out what it is. People in the industry has the real world experience. People in the academe has resources for imparting education, knowledge and experiences learned from the real world. In the real world nobody would get anybody that doesn't have education. There is, however, a gap between the so called "real world" and the "academic world". This is where we should be making bridges instead of criticisms that only widens the gap. This is the place where you guys in the industry could share whatever knowledge, technology, or "real world experience" you have learned to our students to keep them updated. This is what the entire forum is all about - sharing knowledge and helping one another. I am reminding everyone who would further post on this thread to keep it on topic - SMTP. Post other topics in the appropriate forums. |

I wonder why batousai is trolling vincentg? Anything personal between you guys? Anyway, nothing really "exciting" about SMTP. Practically, it's just a protocol to send email (just like POP is a protocol to receive email). If you want to know more about it (terminologies and stuff), use google. << my trademark advice.hehe. If students want to try it, I suggest that they use sendmail because it's free. OT: Real world, real world, real world... (how many times do I have to hear about this???) If you want to get involved in the "real world" while you're still a student, and you think you're competent enough to be in the "league", why not join an open-source project? You get to learn everything there without even having to leave the country (or leave your house for that matter). You also get to have your name as one of the contributors. For starters, why not build a Firefox extension that could provide me with a feed for this forum?Hehe. Just kidding. Regards, The Dummy |
