An arena parking lot is seen. It's approximately 3 hours before the show starts, before the first Underground following the UWF's biggest show of the year, Ultimate Showdown. A man is seen nervously pacing the parking lot, cameraman in tow, continually pacing the parking lot as if waiting for some unpleasant event to occur. And perhaps this is quite close to the truth, as the man, UWF's resident interviewer, Nate Williams, is awaiting the arrival of someone who Williams fears as much as the Devil himself, Joey McArthur, a once undefeated, former UWF King Of Wrestling who recently suffered his first loss at the hands of Boris Neshkabov the previous night at Ultimate Showdown. Throughout the one year that Williams and McArthur have known each other, the two have had many emotion filled encounters, with much of the emotion coming from Joey. As Williams paces ever nervously, suddenly, the sound of tires and an engine echoes through the empty parking lot. A large SUV pulls in, it's headlights glaring at the interviewer. The passenger door opens, and, just as Williams had feared and suspected, out comes a tall, gaunt faced man wearing a cowboy hat, a suit, sunglasses, and an unwelcoming scowl on his face. Surely, this man could be none other than Joey McArthur, Williams registers. He then takes a deep breath, ushers the cameraman to follow him and walks up to Joey, before clearing his throat and proceeding with the interview. Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with Joey McArthur just hours before tonight's Underground where he will team up with Rebecca Turner in a mixed tag team match to take on Torin Torin and Boris Neshkabov! Now, Joey, we are not even 24 hours removed from UWF's biggest show of the year, Ultimate Showdown, where you, er, unfortunately suffered your first singles loss against Boris Neshkabov. Tell us what's been going through your head since last night. At the mention of Boris's name, Joey whips off his sunglasses and gives the dirtiest glare he can muster to Williams, who backs away timidly after finishing his question Joey then looks into the camera, with a look almost suggesting a feeling of hopelessness and loss, but still maintaining a feeling of anger and hatred. He then clears his throat, though less obnoxiously then usual, and proceeds with the interview. McArthur: What's been goin' through my head? Prayin'. Lots and lots of prayin'. It seems every wakin' moment I've had since last night, I've been throwin' my head up to the Heavens and screamin' "Why Gawd, Why?". Why did I tap out to that big, Russian demon? Why am I goin' through a divorce that is single handedly ruinin' my personal and professional life? Why, oh, why, Gawd? Why am I left with NOTHIN'! That's right, nothin'! I am no longer undefeated, I'm losin' all my stuff to my she beast of an ex-wife, and what've I got? I'm the 2011 You Dubya Eff King Of Wrasslin'. Well, it ain't 2011 no more. It's 2012, and I have no motivation to keep on goin'. I should be enjoying my life. I should be free to do as I please, to say as I please, and to go where I please. But nooooo. Instead, I've been draggin' my body across the country, across the whole Goddang world, to entertain these people. These common sheep. These demons in disguise, linin' up for the Judgment Day, booin' me out of any arena I may enter, not showin' the respect I truly deserve. Only one thing's keepin' me goin', and that's revenge. Sweet, sweet vengeance. I will have my revenge against Bore-Us Nesh Key Bov, and lemee tell ya, if revenge is a sin, then I'll be the biggest sinner on Gawd's green earth! Nate Williams then proceeds with caution as he asks the next question in the interview. Williams: And what are your thoughts on your mixed tag team match tonight, where you will be face to face with Boris Neshkabov again, just one day after he ended your undefeated streak? McArthur: Well, in regards to my tag team partner, I suppose all I can really say is that she is a harlot. She has known nothin' but sin all her life, it seems. Just look at the men she's aligned herself with! A skinny, little twig boy with a pretty little belt he never defends, like Jeff Turner, and a long haired, greasy, heathen like Ashten Cross. Between paper champions and sinners, she has been tainted. True, she is a harlot, but a woman does not become a harlot without the company of beasts. I will save her. I will show her the light. She's my priestess and I'm her priest. And as for Bore-Us, all I can say is that his rotten, little skank of a tag team partner is a non issue tonight. When I look across that ring, all I will see is the big, hairy face of sin that I succumbed to last night. Last night was truly a moment of weakness for me, but I will be redeemed! I will beat Bore-Us tonight, just like I'll beat Bore-Us at Seven Deadly Sins! He will succumb to the light, just as I succumbed to the dark, and I will be avenged! I guaran-damn-tee that I will be at the top of the mountain again! I will rise above! |
