Place: Top floor office overlooking the entire Bay, San Francisco , Ca. Time: Noon Date: Oct.8th, 2012 Outfit: Power suit with glasses Background Music: Non (Vespertine sits behind a large Mahogony desk, behind her sits a huge entertainment center with a few HDTVs and huge surround sound speakers. On either side of the entertainment center is a potted bonsai tree and then ground to floor bay windows which overlook the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands. She sits there, arms crossed, looking none too happy. Someone asks her a questions and as the sound comes up this is the answer she gives.) V: What do you mean “what happened”. I was in the shower, I came out, I put my robe on and he attacked me. That isn’t extreme, that is hardcore. Man 1: Is there a difference? (she just looks at him blankly, then she explodes) V: Your goddamn right there is a f**king difference. (she stops and composes herself) Sorry, forgive my Korean (the men laugh nerviously) Hardcore requires a lot of weapons but no skill and very little brainmatter. You just beat each other senseless with whatever weapon you have in your hand until he can’t move anymore. Or find a bigger weapon. Extreme on the other hand, requires almost no weapons and lot of courage to pull off your talent in high places or be able to do a move that your opponent can’t or if he can, do it before he does. (she puts her hands up to stop any further questions.) V: Gentlemen, you can ask me anything you like but it won’t get us anywhere and it won’t get the Xtreme title back to me. Could we save the questions and go find the title? Then after you two (indicates the men on her right) go find the title and hurt Garcia so badly, he won’t be able to move for a month to a year, go find whatever information you can on one Joey McArthur. M2: Do you have any pictures on what they look like? V: As a matter of fact I do. (she picks up a remote control from her desk, pushes a button and the TV behind her turns on. Across the screen is the logo for UWF. She slightly turns her in chair and pushes another button the remote. Up pops a picture of Richard Garcia.) V: This gentlemen, is Mr. Garcia. He has the Xtreme title. I know what you are going to say: “you’ve seen one Mexican Hispanic, you’ve seen them all.” Ah, that may be true, but make no mistake, he has the title and he is a wrestler. That title is the only thing keeping him in the ring. Without it, he is nothing and a beaten man. He might as well retire now. So he will fight to the death for it. He is Mexican, his values and morals and the way he fights are different from anything you will find in Asia or the Japanese islands. Watch him carefully, study him and then move in, kill if you have to. I would love for that to happen but this is wrestling so probably the most you can do is just knock him unconscious, hamstring him and put him in the hospital for a few months. NOW! (she clicks another button the remote and the picture changes to Joey McArthur donning his entrance gear.) V: This, gentlemen, is Joey McArthur. While Garcia grew up extreme and learned from the best, all I know about Joey is that he is Hardcore which is a totally different monster. Again, be careful with him. You will note that he is white and he is from Texas. He doesn’t work and by the looks of him, one wouldn’t assume him to be on welfare. But he is. Basically he is what is considered in this country as a sheltered Southern Conservative. Others would call him a South Texan Redneck. (she shrugs) In other words, he is what is bringing this country down and would be ripe for the picking of other countries except for the fact that we have too many freedoms, too many rules, too many different cultures and not enough law enforcement and the law enforcement we do have, are what as known as either militia or vigilantes of which I can probably he is one. And probably the biggest vigilante group of all, the Ku Klux Klan. And that's why no country wants anything to do with us war wise. (as one all the men around the desk, go “aahhhhh” and shakes their heads.) V: But don’t quote me on that. Just know he is my next opponent. And he is in my way. If I am to be queen of the ring, I need to take him out. So…. Your mission, gentlemen, if you decide to accept it, will be to go to UWF headquarters, find Wormwood’s office, find any and all information you can on Joey McArthur and bring it to me. If Wormwood gets in your way, take him out. (there is a moment of silence between them.) V: Well. Do I need to say “go” to have you get started? (as one all the men leave the room in a hurry) V: Sheesh, men. (she sighs and looks around the room, her eyes finally settling upon the UWF camera. She shrugs) Sure, Joey, I can look you up myself and find about a million things on you using Google and Yahoo but if you have the resources, the time and the manpower, use it. And the information you find on the internet is not the information that's useful to me. I’ve seen you wrestle Joey, not directly but indirectly. I think I need more information on you. So I need to do some more homework. And what I’m looking for is weaknesses and strengths. Your weaknesses because, well, that would be a good way to take you down. Your strengths because then I know what to look for and how to counter it. I’ve been all around the world and have learned how to escape many holds and counter almost anything. Including probably what you have. Is that bragging? No. That’s just telling you what to look for and if you can, being the white, out of work, redneck from Texas that you are, update your ring repertoire to beat me. Because I’m smaller, faster, lighter than you and if you think for a second that wailing away on me will put me down and keep me down, you got another thing coming. Think: speed. (she pauses) V: Now, I’m not going to go on and on about what I know, how I know it, or the fact that, yes, Joey, I WILL beat you. We’ve got several days to go and I’ve a few more promos in mind so I will finish there, see what the men have for me and continue this later. But I leave you with these words: death by diva, Joey. Remember them well. (she turns her chair full around to take a look at the screens behind her and camera fades to black) |

This was shorter than I thought it was going to be. I'm sorry, this isn't as good as you know me to do but this was the only thing I had in mind. I promise I'll do better next RP. |
