#OOC Note. Again, everything is summarized. No fancy intro or anything. Sorry guys. --------------------------------------- Match One UWL Jr Heavyweight Championship Ryan Kidd (c) (2CW) vs Tony Miranda (GIW) --------------------------------------- The lights in the arena dies down as the crowd in the arena screams in anticipation. “Southtown“ by The Ghost Inside suddenly explodes through the PA system in sync to the pulsation of gold lights. We then suddenly see the entrance way being engulf with smoke. Amidst the smoke, we see a figure as the song blasts throughout the airwaves. After several seconds while the smoke starts to clear, the figure materializes and is revealed to be Ryan Kidd. He roars and pumps up the crowd. Keith Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the opening contest at Bedlam on the Bayou. It is scheduled for one fall, and is for the UWL Junior Heavyweight Championship. Making his way to the ring… Weighing in at TWO HUNDRED and TWELVE POUNDS… From Long Beach, California… Pro Wrestling’s Evil Knievel… He is the UWL Junior Heavyweight Champion... RYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN… KIDD!! As the gold lights pulsation continues, he then strolls down to the ramp and slaps some hands of the fans ringside. He stops at the bottom of the ramp and looks around the whole arena and raises his arm. He then continues walking making his way around the ring slapping some hands of the fans. He then stops in front of a steel steps and runs up to it stopping on the ring apron. He then climbs the nearest turnbuckle and raises his arms and roars to pump up the crowd. He somersaults down from the turnbuckle and runs to the opposite corner and climbs the turnbuckle. He roars and raises his arms in the air to the delight of the fans. He then somersaults down from the turnbuckle and walks to the opposite side of the ring. He then leans on the ropes puts his foot on the bottom rope as he raises his arm ala Edge as the fans cheers him on. He then walks into his corner and does some warm up as he awaits his opponent. Keith Williams: And his challenger... ”Night Of The Hunter” begins to blast through the arena. The lights begin to darken to an almost pitch black, leaving the entire arena in darkness. After a few seconds, a spotlight shines down onto the stage, where “The Hunter” Tony Miranda is standing with his back facing the ring. He quickly turns around and begins walking towards the ring, his face hidden by the hood covering his head. Keith Williams: Representing Galveston Island Wrestling.... "The Hunter"... TOOOONYYYY MIIIRRRAAAANNNNDAAAA!!! As he reaches the ring, Miranda jumps up onto the apron with a single leap, and quickly climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stands on top of it, looking around the arena. The Hunter quickly takes off his cloak and throws it into the air, causing the other three turnbuckles to set off pyrotechnics, which in turn cause the lights to return to normal. The Hunter jumps off the turnbuckle and stands in the corner, waiting for the match to begin. The bell sounds, as the two circle the ring. The crowd is buzzing as they are still filling into the sold out Superdome. Miranda and Kidd lock up, and Kidd immediately drops Miranda with an armdrag. Kidd mocks Miranda as if this single move won the match. They lock up, and again Kidd takes him over with a snap armdrag. More celebration. On the third tie up, Miranda takes Kidd down with an armdrag. Both men are up, and Miranda connects a second armdrag, followed by a backdrop, and finished off with dropkick. Ryan Kidd retreats to the floor to recoop. Once Kidd is back in the ring, he takes advantage with a well placed knee to the midsection. This allows Kidd to display his agressive offense. He stuns Miranda with a few knife edge chops, some uppercuts of European flavor, then takes him down with a roundhouse kick. He pins and we have our first near fall of the evening. The challenger seems to be in control, until a miscalculated diving headbutt hit nothing but canvas. The Junior Heavyweight champ begins showing why he is the champ. Missle Dropkick. Codebreaker. A Backstabber... He just can't put the Hunter away. After every big move Ryan Kidd tries, Miranda finds a way to squeak a shoulder up. It seems like only a matter of time until Kidd retains, until Miranda shocks everyone with a Triagle Choke out of nowhere. It didn't result in a victory, as Kidd was able to get to the ropes, but it bought Miranda time. And with that time, came offense from GIW's Tony Miranda. He comes firing back with multiple headbutts followed by a textbook belly to belly. Ryan Kidd, to his credit, shows he has guts too, and continues to take the punishment. Tony Miranda connects with a wicked Discus Elbow that has the 'Nawlins crowd convinced Ryan Kidd has been knocked out. Yet the Junior Heavyweight Champion kicks out right before the refs hand hits three. Tony Miranda is ready to put Kidd away and wants to do it via the Hunter Killer. Step one: A Uranage. Kidd manages to escape certain defeat though, and connects Sudden Impact (Superkick). Ryan Kidd slowly gets up, as Miranda is up to a knee. Kidd charges ahead with a Shining Wizard, that Tony Miranda ducks. Miranda rolls through and hops onto his feet. BOOM! THE KNEE!!! Miranda hits The Knee, hooks the leg, and we have a NEW Junior Heavyweight Champion! Keith Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... And... NEWWWW UWL Junior Heavyweight Champion... TONY MIRANDA!!! "Night of the Hunter" plays as the official hands Tony Miranda his newly won Junior Heavyweight Title. The crowd roars as Miranda holds his new title up high. Ryan Kidd begins getting to his feet, aware he has just lost his title. Holding his jaw, Kidd staggers around as Tony Miranda never takes his eyes off him. After a few tense seconds, Ryan Kidd extends his hand to Miranda for a handshake. Tony Miranda seems unsure. How can he trust this snake? Miranda just stares at Kidd, not buying it. Ryan Kidd lunges forward and clutches the new champs hand, and somewhat forces a handshake between the two. The most awkward handshake ends as Ryan Kidd releases and exits the ring, tending to his swelling jaw. --------------------------------------- -2CW Commercial- 2CW Presents "Seventh Circle" LIVE on October 4th from the 2CW Arena in Chicago, Illinois Main Event: Six Man Seventh Circle Elimination Match for the 2CW Championship: John Pariah vs Jason Aries vs Adam Stryker vs Damian Cole (c) vs Troy Stone vs Nighthawk Full Preview Here --------------------------------------- Match Two American Championship Qualifier Adam Stryker (2CW) vs The Sir (GIW) --------------------------------------- "She Hates Me" by Puddle of Mudd plays as The Sir walks to the ring eating cheetos. He stops half way down the ramp to catch his breath and wipe off the cheeto dust on his MLP shirt. Keith Williams: The following contest is set for one fall. Introducing first... Representing GIW and weighing in at 365 pounds... THE SIIIRRRRRR!!! The Sir rolls into the ring, with an almost dead look on his face as "Overlord" intro hits the PA system and people boo already as they know that Adam Stryker is ready to appear. As he walks out onto the ramp, the boos get heavier, but Stryker doesn't seem to care as he walks towards the ring. Keith Williams: And his opponent... Weighing in at 220 pounds... He is 2CW's Wrestling Machine... He is ADAAAAAMM SSSSTRRYYYYKEEERRR!!! Stryker slides into the ring and gets on the top turnbuckle immediately, where he performs his typical cut-throat taunt. He then drops off and warms up before his match. When the bell sounds, The Sir charges full speed at Stryker, who was still in his corner. Stryker is taken completely off guard and Sir collides into him wrecklessly. The Sir pounds away on the much smaller Stryker, clobbering him on the back as Adam is bent over trying to cover up. The Sir drags him out of the corner and slams him down with a Capture Choke Slam. After a nearfall, The Sir sets Stryker up for a suplex, but no one out wrestles Adam Stryker. He is able to counter the suplex and drop the big man with his own snap suplex. As both men get up, Stryker shows strength by picking the Sir up with an Inverted Atomic Drop followed by Discus Clothesline. Stryker goes for a pin, but The Sir powers out. Stryker stays on the offense with forearm shots, rocking his opponent. He tries whipping The Sir to the ropes but The Sir over powers him and sends Stryker to the ropes with velocity. Stryker ducks a clothesline, but can't duck the boot on the return. Stryker is down, possibly sans a tooth or two as The Sir stands over him. The Sir lifts Stryker up and sets him up for a powerbomb. The Sir powers him up, but Stryker desperately pounds on the forehead of The Sir with his right fist. Eventually The Sir falls back and all of Adams weight lands on The Sir's chest. Stryker climbs the top rope and leaps off, connecting a diving headbutt. The crowd is sensing victory, and so is Adam Stryker. The Sir stumbles to his feet, and Stryker goes for The Elitest Smasher, but he can't quite get The Sir up. The Sir shoves Adam away, creating space. He ducks a swing by Stryker and gets behind him. The Sir goes for the Friendzone, but Adam Stryker squirms free, backflipping over The Sir and landing on his feet, stumbling to the corner. Before he can settle, The Sir charges ahead and connects a splash. Stryker drops to the mat, as The Sir climbs the ropes. He comes off the turnbuckle with the Vader Bomb but Stryker amazingly lifts his knees, and angles them so The Sir eats them. The Sir, who MAY have a broken nose rolls around before getting to his feet. Stryker explodes from the corner with The Stryke (Gore). Adam Stryker pins and picks up the win! Keith Williams: Here is your winner... ADAM STRYKER!!! "Overlord" plays as Stryker raises his arm in victory. Bruised and battered, he rolls out of the ring, head held high. --------------------------------------- -NAW Commercial- NAW's next episode of Monday Night Meltdown features a main event that features the Future of NAW. Jason Price takes on Tyson Gregory. Full Preview Here --------------------------------------- The camera fades in as we see “The Atheist” Anne Brandeis in the backstage area wearing slowly putting on her black hooded ring robe. A set of glimmering sequins in a bright red letter “A” facing the camera. Suddenly and without warning she’s suddenly grabbed from behind. The camera zooming back as we see Red West giving her a running tackle hug. The considerably smaller wrestler wearing a black baby-doll shirt, baggy black pants with pink trim, and dozens of plastic beads. Anne giving a quietly annoyed grimace as she stumbles forward slightly before catching herself standing perfectly still… Red now mounted on her back as if she‘s getting a piggy-back ride.] RED: Oh-mi-Gosh… ANNE this city is so cool. I mean I love the art and the music and I must of eaten like a BILLION beignets. Also you’ll never guess how I got all these beads… ANNE: Red… your lucky I didn’t suplex you on the spot. [Anne pauses for a moment scowling as Red climbs off her back. Red giving a slightly sheepish look as Anne glares at her. “The Atheist” slowly letting out a slight sigh as her student steps back. Her scowl giving way to very subtle smile.] ANNE: And I have a pretty good guess about the beads… RED: Sorry I mean it’s just that I’m so excited with me making my UWL debut and your in the main event. Oh and I found this place that serves Étouffée like 24 hours a day and I still haven’t learned the difference between that and Gumbo yet. Also have you tried a Café Au Lait? ANNE: Yes… yes I have. But I prefer my coffee black. Look Red… Good luck tonight. RED: Thanks… but I don’t need it. Fastest girl alive and all. Plus I’m kinda awesome. But good luck to you too. ANNE: Thanks. [Red walks away as Anne pauses for a moment, a slightly bemused look on her face.] ANNE: And think we might be fighting soon… --------------------------------------- Match Three #1 Contender For the UWL Ladies Championship Red Rock West (GPW) vs The Harlequin (GIW) vs Magdalena Waechter (GPW) --------------------------------------- The lights go dim as a magenta hued laser-show lights up the arena, shimmering pink glitter starts to fall from the ceiling. Red West steps out wearing a leather jacket with the word "Brandeis" school etched across the back of it. Lowering her head for a moment, her wild pink hair falling over her face. She closes her eyes for a moment as "Loyalty" cues up among a shower of Red Pyro. As the music fires up she pumps her hands into the air jumping up and down before dashing to the ring. #You see me soaring through the sky #I see you below as you walk on by #I could clear the sky in 10 second flat #How about that (How about that) #I could be sitting here on a cloud #Watching the sun as it starts to go down #the only thing missing #is you by my side Keith Williams: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following match-up is scheduled for one fall, and it is a Triple Threat match to determine the number one contender to the UWL Ladies World Championship…” #give me a smidge of confidence #give me a speck of something that makes sense #give me an idea of dependency #give me a dash of loyalty (Loyalty) Keith Williams: “Entering first, weighing in tonight at 105 pounds, this is Red ‘Rock’ Weeeeeeeeeeesssst!” #I could save my lonely soul for you #but the feeling in my heart can't follow through #you can give your broken heart to me #cause you know that I'll stay with you #That's why they call me loyalty Red rushes into the ring and climbs a turnbuckle before throwing off her jacket revealing her T-shirt herself. She raises a hand before doing a moonsault backwards landing on her feat. Should her opponents not make it into the ring in time, she may start doing highspots herself. Keith Williams: “And, now, her opponent…” As an unseen choir hums a droning, sonorous 'Om' note, the lights fade, and rows of candles rise on either side of the entrance, lighting seemingly of their own accord. And then the mad, tempestuous brass and strings of the 'Theme of Alexia' kick in, and a few moments later...she appears. Striding slowly but surely onto the stage, all her form is buried under heavy, black robes that drape down to scrape the floor in her wake. A jagged, metal vest that gleams in ebony and gold bands clasps around her chest and reaches up into flared epaulets upon her shoulders, decorated with eight or more wax seals holding strips of parchment marked with Latin passages. In one hand she carries an iron brazier hanging from a chain, spewing thick grey smoke out of its grilled shell as she goes, while in the other hand she holds a four-foot longsword. Piercing blue eyes glare out from holes cut in a black hood anointed with what looks to be blood on its forehead. Keith Williams: Approaching the ring now, weighing in tonight at 141 pounds, hailing from St. Helga's Monastery in Dettelbach, Bavaria...she is CANONESS MAGDALENAAAA WAECHTERRRR! If Magdalena even hears her name being called she shows no sign of it. Continuing her precise death-march to the ring, she blanks the audience and her opponent, her gaze centred somewhere in the center of the ring, and yet nowhere. Upon reaching ringside, she halts, then sinks down to one knee, pushing the tip of the sword into the ground before her, and closes her eyes in prayer. The lights return to normal. Returning to her feet, Magdalena steps over to the ring steps and places the brazier and sword upon them, then steps to the middle of the apron as she unhooks the harness keeping her vest in place. When it's undone, it slips to the floor, taking her robes with it, leaving Magdalena just in the hood and her ring gear - a form-fitting sleeved unitard in black with red trim, knee-high black boots and thick, burnished-gold bracers at her wrists. She pulls herself up onto the apron and, at last, tears the hood from her head, rolling her neck to ease away the stiffness caused by her robes. Stepping into the ring, finally, she heads into her corner without a word, keeping her back to the official and waiting for the bell in contemplation as Red watches her with anticipation of getting this match started. The lights cut off while the first crash of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Lorde begins to play. A spotlight hits the entrance where The Harlequin is with both arms raised in the air, one holding the GIW Undisputed Championship. Her head is tilted back while her loud, high-pitched laughter fills the air. Lorde starts to sing and the lights turn on once more. Keith Williams: “And finally, their opponent, weighing in at 127 pounds…” The crowd is giving the fem-joker a mixed reactions as she finally walks down towards the ring. Half-way down, Harlequin pulls her BANG! pistol out aiming it at the crowd without turning to look at any of them. Keith Williams: “Hailing from Manhattan, New York…” A few people move away from the barrier and others begin to cheer louder. Keith Williams: “She is the GIW Undisputed Champion, THEEEEEE HARLEEEEEQUIIIIIIIIIIIIN!” The Harlequin climbs up onto the apron, screaming, "BOW TO THE CLOWN!" to which the crowd both boos and cheers. She slips into the the ring through the top and middle rope, before doing another slow back bend. Once again she laughs before stepping back against the turnbuckle with a wild smile on her face as she eyes each of her opponents. When the bell rings, the women start the match by circling each other. At first, Harlequin and Magdalena decide they will team up to attempt to take out Red West, but find that she’s a bit too fast for them as she ducks their attack and rebounds off the ropes to kick start her high octane offense. She catches both opponents with a crossbody block and quickly she gets back to her feet, not willing to allow her to lose the momentum. Magdalena rolls out of the ring to keep West from gaining momentum on her, but as Harlequin gets up, she finds herself on the receiving end of a flurry of palm strikes to her chest and face which backs her up into the corner. Red looks to keep her fast paced offense going as she runs to the far corner with the intent of coming back to hit some sort of corner move on Harlequin. Unfortunately, it never happens because as she heads toward the opposite corner, she runs directly into a belly-to-belly suplex which sends Red bouncing off the middle turnbuckle only to land on her head. Magdalena lays in a few boots before tugging Red to her feet, this is when Harlequin reminds them that she is there by running and leaping into the fray. Magdalena wisely sidesteps and pulls Red into the way causing her to get Stinger Splashed into the turnbuckle. Magdalena then assaults Harlequin and takes over on offense for a solid amount of time. She even locks Harlequin in the Penitent Engine, her Pendulum Swing submission. Luckily for Harlequin, Red is there to make the save. This allows Red to take over as she goes to town on Magdalena. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the other two, Harlequin rolls away from them and out of the ring to recoop while sitting against the ring apron. She has a peaceful rest until Magdalena and West find themselves tumbling over the top rope thanks to a powerful clothesline from the Canoness. As they fight one another on the floor, they don’t seem to notice Harlequin just yet as she gets on the apron and springboards off of the ropes to the outside as they’re rising. Unfortunately for the other two women, they notice her too late as the clown hits an Asai moonsault on both of them. The crowd seems to be really in this at this point. Harlequin wisely grabs Red and tosses her back into the ring to go for the pin, but only gets a 2-count before Magdalena gets in the ring to break it up. Harlequin and Magdalena go back and forth, exchanging strikes. Magdalena gets the advantage and Irish whips Harlequin, but the clown springboards off the ropes as Magdalena charges toward her. Harlequin executes a perfect Sunset flip, but Magdalena showing how powerful her legs are keeps Harlequin from rolling her into the pin. As she’s about to go to town on the downed Harlequin, she doesn’t notice Red West rebound off the ropes and give her a Boot 2 Da Head causing her to fall into Harlequin’s pin attempt. West quickly breaks up the attempt though by rebounding off the other ropes and hitting a low dropkick to Harlequin’s face. That’s when Red sees her opportunity so she ascends the ropes and awes the fans with a beautiful double Moonsault. Unfortunately, Harlequin gets her knees up, knocking the wind out of West. When Harlequin gets to her feet though to capitalize on the reversal, Magdalena reaches around her, grabs her wrist then yanks her around and goes for the Exorcism, but Harlequin uses ducks the devastating clothesline and uses a play from her match when she won the GIW Undisputed title by spinning through it and tossing Magdalena over the ropes to the outside. Meanwhile, Red West is finally getting to her feet, but Harlequin runs at her, clutches her in a front facelock, and leaps into the air before plunging her head first to the canvas with a sickening thud, standing her up on her head before she finally falls limp to the mat. Harlequin covers and gets the 3-count as Magdalena is just trying to get back into the ring to break up the attempt, but is too late. Harlequin quickly rolls out of the ring where she is handed her GIW Undisputed Championship. She celebrates on the outside as Magdalena glares at her. Keith Williams: “Ladies and gentlemen, your winner via pinfall and NEWWWWW NUMBER ONE CONTENDER TO THE UWL LADIES WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, The HARLEEEEEQUIIIIIIIIN!” Harlequin celebrates all the way to the top of the ramp before exiting, leaving Magdalena staring at Red West and shaking her head before leaving the ring... --------------------------------------- -GPW Commercial- UWL's only All-Female company continues to grow. Next weeks Explosion promises to deliver. It is headlined by a massive Tag Team Turmoil match to determine the new #1 Contenders to the GPW Tag Team Titles. Full Preview Here --------------------------------------- Match Four American Title Qualifier Apollo Cain (FA) vs The Vanilla Midget (FA) --------------------------------------- A man whispers over the melodic bells of "Virginia" by the Clipse. When the bass drops the curtain ruffles and out walks Apollo Cain, shirtless and looking like a hungry Black Bear. He bows his head and pats his chest over his heart twice and raises his head and outstretches his arm and gives the middle finger to the crowd to a chorus of boos. Keith Williams: The following contest is scheduled for one fall... Introducing first. Weighing in at 283 pounds... APOOOLLLOOOO CAAAIIIINNN!!! Cain strolls to the ring shouting insults and curses to the members of the crowd. The rowdy crowd isn't too thrilled. That is until 'Short People' by Randy Newman begins to play, and the Vanilla Midget comes out, his pet Spot Monkey perched on his shoulder. As he comes down the ramp, he cracks his knuckles and limbers up his neck, looking focused. He also takes time to slap the fans' hands on either side of the ramp, but without ever losing his poker face. Keith Williams: And his opponent... Weighing in at 150 pounds soaking wet... THE VANILLA MIIIDDDGEEEEEETTTT!!! Before entering the ring, he walks over to a ring crew member and lovingly hands Spot Monkey over to him. He then slingshots to the top rope and flips into the ring. The crowd shows their support as Vanilla Midget looks focused. He stands toe to toe with Apollo Cain, who is less than threatened. The bell sounds as cameras flash off the sorta stare down between the two men. Apollo Cain laughs at The Vanilla Midget, showing his obvious advantage in this match by resting his arms on the nogin of Vanilla Midget, who is anything but amused. Midget shoves Cains arms off of him and tries charging at him, but Cain holds him back by palming his forehead like it was a basketball. Cain begins laughing. That's when The Vanilla Midget stomps on the foot of Cain, who is shocked. He bends down to tend to his possibly broken toes, and Vanilla Midget catches him with a Small Package. He NEARLY gets the three before Cain powers out. Cain gets to his feet, this time without the chuckles. Cain charges at Vanilla Midget, who catches him with a superkick, that only reaches the midsection of the very tall Apollo Cain. But the impact takes the air out of Apollo, who doubles over in pain. The Vanilla Midget steps back to get a running start, then impresses EVERYONE planting Apollo Cain with Short But Sweet (Front Flip DDT). Cain is out cold, and Vanilla Midget pins. The crowd is on their feet as the ref hits the mat three times and the bell sounds! Keith Williams: Here is your winner.... THE VANILLA MIDGET!!! The crowd goes crazy as The Vanilla Midget hurries out of the ring as Apollo Cain is coming to his senses. It takes him a moment to realize what just happened. It's too late though. The Vanilla Midget just defeated him. --------------------------------------- We see Anne Brandeis preparing for her big match. We are about to crown only our second-ever UWL Ladies World Champion. The crowd seems to be siding with her, as they pop when she appears on the giant screen. Brandeis exits her locker room. We then jump somewhere else in the arena to see The Vanilla Midget, fresh off of his amazing win over Apollo Cain. Waiting on him is one Adam Stryker. The two stand toe to toe. Adam Stryker: I'm not going to take you lightly like Apollo did. I want that American Championship, and I'm not letting your scrawny ass get in my way. With that, Stryker walks off, bumping the shoulder of Vanilla Midget. --------------------------------------- Match Five UWL Ladies World Championship Anne Brandeis (GPW) vs GAIA (GPW) --------------------------------------- Keith Williams: The following contest is scheduled for one fall... and is for the UWL Ladies World Championship!!! The crowd roars as the lights dim the Pacific Rim theme cues up over the speaker system as Anne steps from behind the curtain wearing a flowing sequined robe. A few plumes of smoke erupt from neat the top of the aisle. She pauses for a moment rolling her knuckles. A deathly serious look in her eyes as she slowly walks down to the ringside. Maybe giving a subtle nod to a fan along the way or a knowing grin but showing very little emotion. Keith Williams: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, FROM QUEENS, NEW YORK, STANDING IN AT FIVE FEET SIX INCHES AND WEIGHING IN AT ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS... "THE ATHEIST'' ANNE BRANDEIS! She steps into the ring before throwing her robe off revealing her black leotard style gear underneath, a red scarlet letter "A" inscribed over her chest.. Keith Williams: And her opponent... The heavy atmospheric sounds of "Uprising" by West One Music fills the arena as the lights die down. The crowd stands as they look toward the entrance. For a few moments, it's almost completely pitch-black except for fans in the crowd holding up their cell phones to cast little lights. They seem to speckle the darkness much like stars. Suddenly, a bright light comes on from the set up at the stage. We see the silhouette of a curvy yet muscular woman standing at the top of the stage. She just stands there as if an iconic statue for a moment until the lights behind her cuts off and a spotlight overhead makes Gaia visible as well as her manager, Nick Bakas, who is behind her. The crowd boos at her presence, but Gaia doesn't seem to care less as she makes her way down the entrance ramp. Keith Williams: From... Mount Olympus... Weighing in at 180 pounds... THIS IS... GAIA!!!! A specific fan spits out some sort of obscenity toward her and she stops. For a long moment, she just stares at the male fan. A smirk appears on her face and she just gently shakes her head before continuing on her path toward the ring stairs while Nick Bakas acts as though he's going to backhand the fan as he passes. Once he realizes Gaia has almost made it to the stairs, he rushes past her and up the ring stairs. As he crosses to the middle of the apron, Gaia jogs her way up the stairs then walks across the apron as Bakas holds the ropes for her to step through them. Once she steps through the ropes, the self-proclaimed Goddess makes a beeline for the far turnbuckle. She pulls herself upon it then just looks around at the fans before raising her arms proudly to a huge negative reaction. After dropping down from the turnbuckle, she takes her corner, as the lights return to normal... The two women are awaiting the bell to sound, while the referee holds up the vacant UWL Ladies World Title. This bitter fued may finally be settled tonight. The bell sounds and Brandeis immediately goes right after Gaia. She lunges at her, and Gaia tries catching her, but is unable to, and is defenseless to the onslaught put on by her fiery opponent. Brandeis takes control early on, but Gaia uses her strength to get the upperhand by catching Brandeis' attempt at a crossbody, then spins her around, dropping her with a sidewalk slam. Gaia proves early on, she can have her way with Brandeis after a textbook Northern Lights Suplex. She bridges and nearly gets the three. Gaia continues her dominance until she misses a Stinger Splash which allows Brandeis to take the attack back to Gaia and drops her with a bulldog. She follows with a swinging neck breaker, and gets a near fall. With Brandeis trying her best to keep Gaia on the defense, she applies an abdominal stretch, but Gaia easily powers out, hip tossing Brandeis down. Brandeis retaliates with a beautiful Enziguri. The crowd is into this one, as Brandeis has Gaia on the verge of a surprising loss. Brandeis looks to apply the Chloroform (A combination sleeper hold and body scissors that looks very much like an MMA Rear Naked Choke.) She leaps onto Gaia's back, but Gaia rolls out, escaping possible defeat. Gaia connects a kick to the gut, then goes for a Falcon Arrow, but Anne slips out and leaps on Gaia's back! CHLOROFORM!!! Amazingly, Gaia is hanging on, as she has dropped to a knee, refusing to go to the mat. Gaia shocks everyone, especially Anne Brandeis by getting back on her feet, reaching back, and dropping Brandeis with a stunner type move, freeing her from the submission. Both women are slow to their feet, but Gaia drives her boot into the midsection, then lifts Brandeis up and drops her with a Brainbuster. And just like that, we have a Ladies World Champion!!! Keith Williams: Here is your winner... and NEW... UWL LADIES WORLD CHAMPION.... GAIA!!!! "Uprising" plays as Nick Bakas runs into the ring, clutching the Ladies Title and handing it to Gaia, who holds it proudly. She holds the title high in the air, looking down at her fallen opponent. Nick hands her what appears to be two golden coins. She places the coins over the shut eyes of Anne Brandeis before heaving the title up once more. --------------------------------------- We see the UWL American Heavyweight Champion, alongside his new bride Harlequin. The American Championship around his waist. He is heading to the ring. We then jump to his opponent. The NAW and UWL Heavyweight Champion. The undefeated, unstoppable Gunner Hughes. It's Champion vs Champion. Streak vs Streak. Winner Take All. The Main Event.... IS NEXT! --------------------------------------- -GIW Commercial- GIW Revolt is tomorrow night! Headlined by the new GIW Undisputed Champion, Harlequin taking on the impressive newcomer M. Tech Michaud. Full Preview Here --------------------------------------- Main Event UWL Heavyweight Championship & UWL American Heavyweight Championship Gunner Hughes (NAW) vs Beck Ramsey (GIW) --------------------------------------- A shotgun blast is heard through the PA system and “Dead Man Walking” by Bloodsimple begins to play. After a few moments, Gunner Hughes slowly comes walking out from the back, raising an arm in the air at the top of the ramp as he stares into the crowd. He stomps down the ramp and towards the ring, then he climbs through the ropes and walks to the center of the ring, raising his arm in the air once more before his music comes to a stop. Atmospheric noises rise on the PA system causing the crowd to silence as the lights slowly dim. The lights eventually dim to complete darkness before the acoustic chords to "Vicarious Devil," a mash-up between Tool and Laura Marling begins. As Maynard James Keenan begins singing red spotlights abruptly direct themselves toward the entrance as Beck Ramsey emerges from the entrance tunnel. As usual, he's clad in his ring gear along with his big, flashy coat, and a pair of shades, not to mention, accompanied by some boos which rise up in the crowd while other fans begin cheering the leader of Cirque du Péché. As Beck steps up to the end of the entrance stage, he just looks around at the electric crowd which is cast in darkness. Without lingering too long, he moves down the entrance ramp ignoring fans that attempt to high-five him or yell obscenities in his direction. He rounds the ring just enough to get to the ring steps which he takes his time walking up, as he does, he uses his long reach to grab the ring post as he pulls himself up the stairs. Based on the direction of his gaze, he seems to be glaring in the direction of his opponent, but instead of getting into the ring, he walks across the apron with one hand sliding across the top rope. His head turns toward the turnbuckle he's walking toward. He pulls himself up onto the turnbuckle from the outside and removes his shades with one hand. At first, he looks around at the crowd then his gaze stops upon his opponent. A devious smirk appears on his handsome features as he removes his coat and hands it off, along with his shades, to some techie on the outside before leaping into the ring from the turnbuckle and moving over to his corner as the lights slowly return to normal. The two men stand in their respective corner, their championships in their hands. The crowd is buzzing. The SuperDome is alive. Keith Williams: This... is your MAIN EVENT! And it is for the UWL American and UWL World Heavyweight Championships! A roar from the crowd. Keith Williams: Introducing first... Representing Galveston Island Wrestling. From Sin City. Weighing in at 243 pounds. He is a former GIW Undisputed Champion. The "Sinners Saint." The UWL American Heavyweight Champion.... BEEEEECCCK RAAAAMSSSEEEYYYYY!!!! Ramsey holds his title high as the crowd roars. The ref then takes the American Title away from Ramsey. Keith Williams: And his opponent... Representing North Atlantic Wrestling. He hails from Portland, Oregon. Weighing in at 275 pounds. He is the NAW Heavyweight Champion. And is the current UWL World Heavyweight Champion... Ladies and gentlemen... GUNNEEERRRRR HUUUUUGHEEESSS!!! An equally loud cheer for Hughes, who holds both his NAW and UWL Championships high before handing them to the referee. So much gold! The crowd seems split on who to cheer for in this winner takes all match. They collectively applaud as the bell finally sounds and the biggest match in UWL history is officially underway. The two men lock up, and Beck takes to the offense first with an arm wrench. He applies pressure, as Gunner Hughes looks for an escape. And he finds one via a right hand to the pretty white teeth of Beck Ramsey. This is how the opening goes. Beck Ramsey uses his technical skills and ring savvy to his advantage, and Gunner Hughes uses his strength and ability to throw hammer like right hands to his advantage. The two trade moves until Gunner Hughes goes for an early win. He looks for the Buckshot (running big boot), but Beck ducks it and Gunner makes a mistake by not being aware how close Ramsey is to the ropes. His boot goes over the top rope, and the momentum sends the rest of his body with him. The UWL World Champ tumbles all the way to the floor. Beck Ramsey is right behind him with a suicide dive. Both men crash into the guardrail and fall to the concrete below. After the high risk gamble, Ramsey has the upperhand. Back inside the ring, Ramsey follows up with a springboard clothesline, then a belly to belly to score a nearfall. The American champ stays on it though and rocks his large opponent with European Uppercuts. When he tries a crossbody, Gunner shows his strength, catching Ramsey, then dropping him with a fall away slam, getting his own near fall. The two men continue to be seemingly even, and neither man is able to take complete control. That is until Hughes connects with a thunderous spine buster! From there, Gunner Hughes proves why he hasn't been beaten inside a UWL ring yet, as he picks apart his opponent. Gunner throws everything under the sun at Beck Ramsey. Sidewalk slam. Backbreaker. And of course his trademark three punch combo. Each and every time, Beck Ramsey kicks out, refusing to die. Gunner, perhaps, needing a minute to think of what's next, locks Ramsey into a bearhug, squeezing the life out of the American Champion. Beck Ramsey begins to fight back, using right hands to fight free, but when he tries to run away, Gunner uses his hair to yank him back in, then drops him with another spinebuster. He pins... And another kickout!!! Gunner appears to be getting frustrated, but is prepping his right foot for another attempt at the Buckshot. He comes charging in, but to the surprise of EVERYONE, Beck Ramsey connects with his OWN big boot. The Money Shot! After what seems like an eternity, Beck pins.... But Gunner Hughes kicks out! The crowd is on their feet as the two warriors inside the ring try to do the same. Beck Ramsey seems to have caught a second wind and takes advantage of a loopy Gunner Hughes with right hands. Gunner swings and Beck easily ducks, then leaps into the air and brings Gunner down with a standing Frankensteiner. He mounts Gunner and unloads a fury of right hands. He bounces off the ropes, and drops a knee across the bridge of the nose. When Hughes staggers to his feet, he is met with a Reverse DDT. Beck pins, and gets another near fall. Beck keeps Gunner wounded with a quick snap suplex, then heads to the top rope. Once he is up there, Ramsey takes a deep breath. One breath too many. As he flips in mid air with a Hangover, Gunner Hughes rolls out of the way. Both men get up and Gunner goes for a body slam. Ramsey slips out of his grasp, then drops him with Busted Backbreaker (Irish Curse Backbreaker). This gets him the closest near fall of the match. But its still a two. Ramseys possible downfall comes at another mistake, as he misses a Stinger Splash. This allows Gunner Hughes to connect with the BUCKSHOT!! ONE... TWO... THRE-KICKOUT!!! BECK RAMSEY KICKS OUT OF THE BUCKSHOT!!! The crowd can't believe someone has survived the Buckshot. And now both men have kicked out of each others big boot. Gunner seems taken back, but sees Ramsey lying on his stomach, trying to recover. Gunner Hughes steps over Ramsey and locks in the Full Metal Jacket (Camel Clutch). Ramsey screams in agony as he is desperate for an escape. As he squirms, he manages to get his arms free. The first step. He is able to get on his hands and knees relieving most of the pressure, but is still in a lot of pain. Ramsey is trying to reach for the ropes, but can't. Gunner applies more pressure, causing Ramsey to flail his arms helplessly. The flailing is exactly the break Ramsey needed. In what seems like pure accident, Ramsey, as he flails his arms, pokes the ref right in the eye as he was kneeled down checking on the poor guy. With the ref temporarily blinded, Ramsey actually bends himself back even further for Gunner Hughes, but it's to spray him with the deadly Mist! Gunner is blinded and releases the hold. Beck Ramsey gets to his feet and before Gunner can recover and figure out where the hell he is, Ramsey powers the big man upside down and drops him with the RIVER CARD! (Sheerdrop Spinning Brainbuster) Beck Ramsey pins and the crowd goes nuts as the ref comes too... ONE... TWO... THREE!!! Keith Williams: Ladies and gentlemen here is your winner... and STILL UWL American Heavyweight Champion... and NEW UWL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.... BECK RAMSEY!!!! The new UWL World Champion is awarded both of his titles. The toll of the match is evident as he can barely hoist them in the air. But he does so as the fans roar in approval. Fireworks go off as we close the night with a shot of Beck Ramsey holding the American and World Heavyweight Titles. A new era has begun... Fade To Black... --------------------------------------- Edited by KevinHill, Sep 27 2014, 09:59 PM.
