UWL News

Knoxville, TN -- It's a busy news day here in League Headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee. So much to get to. Mystic Wrestling Joins UWL - The biggest news coming out this weekend was the addition of Mystic Wrestling to the League. Mystic Wrestling is an All-Female based promotion based out of Hilchurch, Washington. It is an up and coming promotion, who just had their first Event. They are the 4th current female promotion under the UWL Banner, certainly more than any other organization. The CBO, and wife of Kevin Hill, Amanda Hill was all smiles when the news broke. "We had a vision," said Mrs. Hill. "A vision to showcase the absolute best of women's wrestling in the entire world. With the addition of Mystic, there is no question we do just that." Another big announcement was that ACE promoter, Alan Christopher, has joined the League Staff as an Assistant Booker. "We're excited to have Mr. Christopher on board" said UWL Chairman, Kevin Hill. "ACE has been the plACE as they like to say, and has become one of the premier promotions in the League. Alan obviously has the mind for the job. It was a no brainer to have someone like him in the board room with us." As Assistant Booker, Alan Christopher helps put together UWL Events, as well as determine challengers for the UWL Championships. And finally, the latest Wrestler Rankings have been published. In the Men's, Alex Castellanos remains #1, and Delikado made the biggest leap, jumping eight spots to #2. Also, in the Women's, Gaia Galanos and Flame Puppy remain #1 & #2. Alexis Terry made the biggest leap, to #4. In Junior-Heavyweights, the top six spots remained idle. Jericho, Miranda, Orion, Dane, Turbo, & Waters. The new addition was NGSE's Zero. The March 15th edition will unveil a new name for the Rankings, as well as have a larger Women's ranking, as we will rank the Top 20! We also debut the Tag Team Rankings. This will take place the day after UWL Retribution. |
