UWL Tag Match @ WBSW
It was announced on December 22nd that the UWL World Tag Team Champions, Real Xtreme (now free agents) will defend those titles against the Black Circle Boys. The match will take place at WBSW Live #14 on January 6th, 2013, making it the first UWL sanctioned match of 2013. It also marks the first non-UWL Event interpromotional match.

Real Xtreme won the UWL Tag Team Titles at UWL Wrestlefest, defeating Eastern Uproars, and Best of British to win the vacant title. They then defended the titles in their former home, TSWF. At Championship Weekend, they held off Jessica Harmony & Tiami Tyler in another successful defense. They have been quoted to say "We will take on all comers." And now they must back those words up.

Black Circle Boys pose a true threat to the Champions reign. They have made a huge splash in a short time in WBSW. They also have the home field advantage. Will Real Xtreme continue their dominance? Or will the Tag Titles stay in Wilkes Barre?

-----------------------------------

UWL Jr Heavy Match @ PWX
The UWL Tag Team Titles are not the only titles being defended. It has been announced that the new Junior-Heavyweight Champion, Alyssa Casteele, will make her first title defense when she steps into PWX territory to take on Tiami Tyler. The title match will take place at PWX No Limits on January 23rd. It was made official late last night, and the match is just under a month away.

Alyssa Casteele won the Junior Heavyweight Title in a Four Corners match at Championship Weekend, against AJ Fairchild, Tony Edison, and Dick McSexton.

Tiami Tyler is the current PWX Tag Team Champion, alongside Jessica Harmony. Her only UWL appearance came in a losing effort alongside Harmony against Real Xtreme.

'Regional' Titles? Or 'State' Titles?
At Championship Weekend, due to lack of required amount of promotions in the once bustling region of New England, Leon Corella was stripped of his UWL Patriot Heavyweight Championship. The Patriot Title has been deemed inactive, and as of now there are no active Regional Championships.

Rumors are circulating that the UWL Executives are pondering the possibility of 'State' Championships, for the states that are split by two different regions. In this scenario, states such as Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinios, Arkansas, Arkansas, and Arizona would have titles, and promotions on those regions would battle for them.

No word yet on how much leg is behind this rumor. We have been unable to contact anyone in the UWL Headquarters about the rumors. Stay tuned.

Awards
In the madness of Championship Weekend, and the Holidays, we forgot to name an eFed of the Month for November. Hey, we are humans afterall. The November award goes to a now two-time champion, Pro Wrestling X. PWX continues to stay at the top, with posting its news, posting its Events, and always having its members participate in UWL Events, always being at the top, or near the top in number of sign ups.

With TSWF, now gone, PWX is the only current member Promotion that has won eFed of the Month. Will anyone step up?

In related news, the UWL will have a small End of the Year Event, giving away awards to promotions and members. The winners (this year) will be chosen by UWL Staff. Catagories include eFed of the Year, Wrestler of the Year, Tag Team of the Year, and more.

Malcolm Gould here, bringing you some big news tonight! We heard from Steven Gold that EIW purchased all the rights to OWA and the InterGlobal Championship that he keeps going on about, and Alex Morgan had been talking a lot about bringing in a second championship belt anyway. I will be sure to keep all of you keep all of you up to date as we get more info on this situation though.

The other big news story I've been hearing all about is that starting at the beginning of the new year, we will have our big return to 97.9X!

From what I've gathered, our trial run had expired with them, and all this waiting was just for the fact of a huge contract dispute between Morgan and the station. He told us(the staff) in a meeting this morning, and told us that he will let everyone know all the big details of our events yet to come during a press conference early next week.

We also are awaiting the results to the fan poll of what match Gunner Hughes and Steven Gold will be competing in at Live! on the 23rd. The results will become available on Saturday morning.

That's all I've got for you all for now, but keep checking in on the website and my blog for any updates on your WBSW needs!

GWR Post (12.14.12)
Uprising came live on a special Thursday night show from the Telefonica Arena in Madrid, Spain on the third stop of the historic European Tour.

Two huge main events were in store, "The Dirty Dog" Shane Clemmens taking on the self proclaimed King of the GWR and one half of the tag team champions, Johnny The Vagabond. This was coupled with the first meeting of Lethal Dose and the Untouchable Cabinet. Chaos, Syphon and D.C of Lethal Dose against Marcus Bailey & Abraham Gore of the Cabinet alongside Bryan Spencer.

Amongst these huge main events, matches were set in stone for the two night Annual Anarchy pay per view taking place in Paris, France. Night One, with a full card of matches will take place on Christmas Eve and Night Two, the Revolution Rumble match, will take place on New Years Eve!

As of the time of writing we have four spaces available in the Rumble. For more details please contact admin@globalwrestlingrevolution.com

The winner gets a shot at the GWR World Heavyweight Champion at January's Poetic Justice PPV.

Between this, we have a look back at the first year of the GWR, the End of Year Awards Ceremony and much more beside!

FGA Post (12.17.12)
This past Saturday at the Elizabeth, PA DVD Tapings, champion AJ Fairchild was in the spirit of giving. He decided to give his challenger, Ryan Kidd, a chance to up the ante for their FGA Heavyweight Championship Match at Final Frontier. Fairchild proposed the match now be changed to a Best 2 out of 3 Falls Match. Kidd gladly accepted. But will this move come to backfire on Fairchild, since he essentially gave his opponent two chances to beat him? There match back at Fear itself was very close. Almost too close for Fairchild's liking. In recent weeks, Fairchild has begun to show a more arrogant side of him which has fans worried that he's starting to get full of himself. Justice Young will be speaking to both men on that topic and much more heading into their Final Frontier match on December 28.

One match that could be in doubt is the “Mixed Bag” 8-Man Team Match. That match will pit the team of Chris Q, Malcolm Drake, Diego Alvarez and Tony Edison against Jake Winchester, Akrista O'Hare, Alyssa Casteele and Jacob Demore. On this past Saturday's DVD Tapings, we were given a preview of that match as four men from opposing teams faced off. While Jake Winchester and Tony Edison went back and forth and shook hands before & after the match, Malcolm Drake decided to cheap shot Jacob Demore, attacking his already injured leg post-match. There's still no word on the extent of Jacob's injury. But even if he makes it to Final Frontier, the team of Winchester, Akrista O'Hare, and Alyssa Casteele will clearly not be at 100%.

Speaking of O'Hare, she had the biggest match of her FGA career to date as she took on the infamous Ryu Kanata. Kanata is well no for not only his violent past, but his disregard for his opponents and his tendency to jump them before the opening bell. But this time, his plan backfired as O'Hare had him well scouted and nailed him with an elbow that rocked him. From there, it was all O'Hare as she hit Kanata with a series of moves that left the Broken Glass and Barbed Wire Phoenix reeling. O'Hare finished off the match shortly thereafter, getting not a huge upset win, but getting a bit of confidence back after a hard fought loss to Chris Q on December 1.

Chris Q was back in action and looking to make it three for three in FGA. But he, much like O'Hare, would be facing his toughest test to date in Pat Gordon, Jr. Gordon Jr has been wrestling with a concussion for nearly a month now. Despite his condition, Gordon Jr controlled a lot of the action at times, dominating Chris Q like he never had been before. But after a series of blows to the head, the door was left wide open for Chris Q to take back control of the match. And he did, finishing off Gordon Jr and continuing his winning streak in FGA. With three wins under his belt under some impressive opponents, who will be able to stop the man that has referred to himself as “the new big bad” in FGA?

Another viral video was packaged together during the DVD Taping. Some people initially thought these videos were for the arrival of Malcolm Drake. But these videos continued to air past Drake's debut, confirming that the two are not related. According to this latest message, “the beast will rise at Final Frontier.” Rumors have been running rampant as to who, or what, is behind these series of messages. But the FGA fans won't have to wait much longer as it appears an answer will be given next week at Final Frontier.

WBSW Christmas Eve Press Condference

It's a winter day in Scranton, although the snow isn't as it usually is. It's a pretty gloomy Monday actually, but that's no big deal, as our real focus is at WBSW HQ, where we see reporters from all sorts of regional magazines and newspapers filing into the building. We've got Fight! magazine, as well as Wrestling Observer, among several regional newspapers and publications.

The reporters all get to the folding chairs in the lobby of the building, a large refreshment table set off to the side, complete with punch and pie, as Barry Lincoln comes up to the podium.

Lincoln
Ladies and gentlemen, we're glad to have you here. Please feel free to ask any questions you feel to be pertinent to us ringing in the new year in a big way, and Mr. Morgan will do whatever he possibly can to answer your question to the best of his ability. He'll be out momentarily.

And with that, he leaves us to await Alex Morgan's arrival. After about five minutes, Alex is seen walking to the podium in his signature suit with a bow tie. He stands at the podium and stares at all the people who came.

Morgan
Hello everyone, and thank you for joining us today. I welcome you to take a journey with those of us at WBSW, a journey into the dawn of a new era of professional wrestling. We have so much in store for you in the coming year, and we plan to bring you much more into the future. Let me first address what I introduced to the world last night.

Morgan leans down and grabs something from the podium. It's the newest addition to wbsw's line of championships.

Morgan
This is our newest championship belt, the Keystone State Championship. It will follow a rule that the holder must defend it at every show. It will be our perfect sign of a fighting champion, and it will be a huge step for this company to take.

He smiles and puts the belt back down.

Morgan
The championship will be awarded at our first large scale event in February, as well as a WBSW Championship match and a Tag Team Championship match. Do we have any questions regarding this?

Morgan looks around and points to a local journalist.

Journalist
Who all is eligible for the second championship?

Morgan
Anybody who signs a contract with us from here on out, as well as current roster members. The lady in the pink sweater?

Reporter
How are you planning to award the championship?

Morgan
It will be either a tournament, or a battle royal of sorts, although this has yet to be determined.

Morgan points to the gentleman from the Bleacher Report.

BR Reporter
What do you plan to do about the loss of Dick McSexton?

Morgan
McSexton was a very valuable asset to the company. Had a lot of charisma to him. All I can do is what needs done. Suck it up and move on. He will be dearly missed, and I wish him the quickest of recoveries, as well as I hope he will return when able.

He continues looking around for more, pointing to another reporter.

Reporter
Rumors are soaring that your very own Black Circle Boys are looking to challenge the United Wrestling League's tag team champions. Any word on if this is true or when it will happen?

Morgan
We actually worked a deal out with the UWL, and Real Xtreme last night before the show. This match will take place on January 6th at the 14th edition of Live!

Fight! Magazine
Last night, the Vice Squad brought a guest to be in their corner. The Black Circle Boys proceeded to put the guest through a table after the Vice Squad came up victorious in the match. Do you have any idea how that is playing out?

Morgan
I've talked to both Mr. Carter and Mr. Sharpe, and they have told me that though they cannot set a date or time exactly, they will have their revenge.

A reporter chimes in without Morgan even cuing him.

Reporter
You've addressed the loss of Dick McSexton, what of Steven Gold, as well as the Northwest Express?

Morgan
Steven Gold was a very tough competitor, and he has been giving it his all. He will be another big loss for us to get over, but we will have to manage.

A reporter with a thick Mexican accent chimes in now.

Foreign Reporter
What is the next disgraceful event that you wish to subject your greatest tag team, Los Conquistadores, to next?

Morgan
Greatest tag team may be just a bit of a stretch. And as far as disgraceful? I wouldn't call it that. But I have put the smaller of the two into a match where if he loses, they must both unmask. Unless they would rather just have their contracts terminated, because I will have no more of these attacks and games they like to play.

He looks around for a few seconds.

Morgan
It appears that that is all for questions today, so one more thing I'd like to bring up, is that our first actual super show will take place on February 17, and will be titled St. Valentine's Day Massacre. I hope to see you all there. Have a very happy holiday.

With that, Morgan grabs the championship belt and leaves as the reporters begin filing either to the refreshment table or out the door.
