Wrestlefest Fallout
Wrestlefest II is in the history books, and will be one we will never forget. As the smoke settled, and the UWL fans left the Amway Center, the landscape of the United Wrestling League had changed drastically. Eight intense matches left the crowd on the edge of their seats all night long. Three of those incredible matches were UWL Championship matches... All three of those saw new champions crowned!

The UWL World Tag Team Championships were on the line in a rather strange matchup. The reigning champions, Black Circle Boys, from the NAW took on the duo of Alex Castellanos and Dom Harter. Castellanos represents PWX while Harter is an FGA wrestler. The two hadn't even met before the match, as UWL Officials were forced to put a team together. The result saw a major upset as the mashed up duo captured the UWL Tag Team Titles. Many are wondering how they will defend their titles, working for two different companies.

The UWL International Championship changed hands as well when two, seemingly unbeatable men went toe to toe. Ryan Kidd, who has taken the UWL by storm since October of last year, took on the reigning NAW Heavyweight Champion Gunner Hughes. After Gunner Hughes connected with his vicious big boot, he pinned the unconcious Ryan Kidd and became the new UWL International Champion.

The main event of Wrestlefest II saw the UWL World Heavyweight Championship on the line when defending champion, and recent PWX signee Elijah Black defend the title against FGA's Pat Gordon Jr. Black had been untouchable since becoming the first UWL World Champion in October of last year. This night however, belonged to Pat Gordon, Jr. Gordon gained the biggest victory of his career, and became the new UWL World Heavyweight Champion, his first World Championship in his career. The emotional new champion is set to have an exclusive sit down interview on Between The Ropes next week.

Gordon/Corella II
Just days after winning the UWL World Championship at Wrestlefest II, Pat Gordon proved he is what he said he would be... A Fighting Champion. A match has been signed for next Sunday, at NAW's first Pay-Per-View Event, St Valentines Day Massacre. Pat Gordon, Jr defends his championship against Leon Corella. This is not the first time these two have clashed over a UWL Championship. At the first Wrestlefest, these two men opened the show, battling for the UWL Patriot Heavyweight Championship. Leon Corella won that match, and many say he will win this one. Many also question why Pat Gordon accepted this match, just days after the biggest night of his life. Is this a mistake? Could Pat Gordon's inspirational title reign be cut short by a very determined Leon Corella?

We'll find out on February 20th, at NAW St Valentines Day Massace.

Tag Title Match set
Another match has been signed. The new UWL World Tag Team Champions are set to defend their titles against the Vice Squad on the March 3rd edition of NAW Meltdown. Vice Squad could be NAW Champions by then as they are set to battle Black Circle Boys at St Valentines Day Massacre to determine who is in fact the NAW Tag Team Champions. Dom Harter and Alex Castellanos are set to join the next Between the Ropes episode. No doubt, they will be asked how they expect to continue this 'lucky' title run.

BTR Preview
In case you haven't noticed, the next episode of Between the Ropes is set to be huge. We will be joined by the new UWL Tag Team Champions. As well as an in-depth sit down interview with the UWL World Heavyweight Champion Pat Gordon, Jr. They BTR crew will also give a more detailed look at the aftermath of UWL Wrestlefest II, as well as give us a look at all the upcoming events around the League.

eFed of the Month
The eFed of the Month of January has been selected. The first FOTM in 2013 goes to Frontier Grappling Arts. FGA had a great outcome at Wrestlefest, showcasing eight wrestlers. They also continue their impressive rise to the top of the New England region. Not just in the UWL, but compared to the other indy companies in the northeast, FGA is considered one of the top promotions. And it's not hard to see why. Congratulations to Frontier Grappling Arts; UWL's January eFed of the Month!
