What are your thoughts on all these secessionist movements? For example, the "Murrawarri Republic" *, an indigenous community in Australia, with a land area of about that of Austria's, has recently declared it's sovereignty, and there is even talk of taking this to the UN. Do you think, in this case, it has a chance of success? I mean, at what point is a movement realistic? *http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murrawarri_Republic |

I'll have to look into the movement, since I'm not familiar with it. Who are its supporters though? For me, I support secession on a case by case basis. I do not, for example, support secession movement that are rooted in nationalism. I do however support those movements that are based in the idea of creating governments to represent the interests of people who feel that they're not being represented. |

Why would anyone want to secede from Australia? |
