After the passage of Resolution 108 earlier this month, the Commonwealth Elections Commission will now allow foreign citizens to donate to the candidates in the Prime Minister elections. Here are the guidelines as set forth by Resolution 108:

Resolution 108

1) A person or organization can only donate a maximum of $20,000 during the election cycle. They can choose which candidate (or candidates) receives the money. The donation of an organization does not affect the ability of an individual to donate (so if, for example, a political party gives $20,000 to a candidate, the donation is listed as 'Political Party Name'. If the leader of that party wanted to donate as an individual, he/she could donate as an individual. That donation would be listed as 'Individual's Name").

2) If any individual or organization fraudulently donates more than the maximum allowed, all money donated by that individual or organization will be confiscated by the CEC.

3) Any and all donations received will be a matter of public record. The CEC will record all donations at their earliest possible convenience.

If any individuals and/or organizations (political parties, special interest groups, businesses, or the like) would like to donate, please post in this thread.

Several Franconian special interest groups would like to donate.

The National Citizens Coalition, a Left Wing group devoted to protecting Civil Rights in Franconia and around the region, would like to donate $15,350 to Angela Oviedo and The Progressive Party. They also offer her and hr campaign the use of their logo as their official endorsement, and their public support to go on record.

The Alliance of Reformists, a centrist group promoting political awareness and equal opportunity has offered $13,900 to Kyle Walker and his Conservative Party and $13,900 to Dan Igawa and the Labour Party. Reform President Ingrid Tomlinsson would like to donate $2345 of her personal funds to Mr. Walker as well, and offers her services in the Campaign, such as appearances and speeches.

The Progressive Party thanks the National Citizens Coalition for their support and would be honored to mention their endorsement of Angela Oviedo.

The Conservative Party thanks Ms. Tomlinsson for her donation.

Both the Labor and Conservative Party thank the Alliance of Reformists for their donation, but must remind them that they can only donate $20,000 total in this election as a group.

The Alliance of Reformists would then like to recalculate to $10,000 to both the Labour and Conservative Parties.

(OOC: In order to keep all of the extra RP stuff in one thread, this thread will now be used to pose debate questions as well as donating to the candidates)

With the first debate coming up in only seven days, the Vendolandian Associated Press wants to know: what sort of questions would you like to ask the candidates?

Please post any and all questions you would like to ask the candidates below. Please be sure to identify which candidate(s) you are directing the question towards.

Thank you for your participation!

The Vendolandian Commonwealth Elections Commission wishes to remind the residents of nations across the region that donations to the Vendolandian Prime Minister candidates are allowed under Resolution 108. If a citizen or organization would like to donate money to a candidate, please do so in this space. Rules and conditions are described in the first post.

In the interest of saving space, the CEC asks that you also consider using this space to ask questions of the candidates. In the next debate (which should be in 10 more days), the moderator will then read your questions.

All four candidates thank the Coalition for Political Unity for their support, but remind them that they can only donate up to $20,000 as an organization.
