The office of President-elect Edith Hale would like to extend an invitation to the leaders of all of the nations of the region to her inauguration as President of the Grand Republic of Killadonia. This is a historic day and the future President would love to spend it with all of Killadonia's friends and allies.

Please be sure to let us know who will be attending on behalf of your nation.

Ruiru welcomes the new president of Ruiru. We certainly congratulate the President-Elect, Edith Hale. We hope our two countries will work closely together to ensure both nation's economic growth but regional as well. In the congratulation speech this morning by President Underwood, He said "It is with great humility that I congratulate the new president of Killadonia. The country's show of leadership and power of democracy is without a doubt a model Ruiru should follow. If a hound nation such as Ruiru at only a year old is democratic, then the world is not so bad.
He shall be attending the big event accompanied by the Secretary of of State, Ruiru Ambassador to Killadonia and a small legation.

It was fifty-five degrees outside; positively frigid for January in Providence. Edith Hale stood and stared at the Chief Justice as thousands of spectators watched and cheered. look She thought she would have been more nervous, but the sheer size of the crowd made it all seem surreal. For now, Hale stood tall as the Chief Justice asked her to raise her right hand.

"I, Edith Rosalind Hale, swear to faithfully execute the Office of the President and to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Grand Republic of Killadonia."

Hale had practiced the words several times before now, but she hadn't felt the weight of those words until now. She hadn't expected to progress so far and never would guessed that she would be standing here, at this place and in these circumstances.

Finally, the Chief Justice turned to the crowd and proclaimed, "Ladies and gentlemen, President Edith Hale!" The roar of the crowd was almost deafening, but it put a wide smile on Hale's face. All the long months of campaigning and debate prep had culminated in today. It was worth every moment.

Shortly thereafter, the presidential inaugural ball opened at Tanningworth Hall in Providence. The President will be along momentarily, so this will a great chance for the attendees to meet and speak before the ball begins in earnest.

In the cool winter air of Killadonia, Secretary of Foreign Affairs for Franconia, Yvonne Sinclair stood, with her Chief of Staff. Just a few meters away stood President-Elect Edith Hale of Killadonia, taking the solemn oath of her nation, and her presidency. With the huge crowd gathered below them, Yvonne smiled to herself at her own swearing in as Foreign Secretary at the Imperial Palace. A modest affair, where the Prime Minister and the Cabinet all took the Oath in front of the Queen. Now, in the cold of January, she sat here, the Head of the Franconian National Delegation.

As the Ceremony ended, the Foreign Secretary was escorted by Killadonian officials to Tanningworth Hall, where she entered the large ball room with her staff. Dressed in her finest, yet most professional attire, including large heels to supplement her slightly short build, she certainly looked like someone who commanded authority. With a smile, she gratefully received a glass of wine and awaited the other dignitaries.

As the new president Hale took her oath, president Ahmed stood not too far from her, he looked beside him to see the Franconian secretary of foreign affairs. He knew that today was a good day to discuss the Aro, the telephone codes and the TLDs.
With president Hale finishing her oath, Killadonian officials took the president to Tanningworth Hall. He headed for the bar and asked if there was a fresh juice, after finding fresh apple juice he went to Yvonne Sinclair, "Do you always wear high heels like that?" the president said joking, he knew Sinclair personally from a long time ago, they've met each other in Al Qahira before Ahmed becomes the president and they became good friends.

The Foreign Secretary spun around, wine sloshing slightly in her glass.

"And do you always have to comment on my choice of foot wear?"

Yvonne remembers it well, her first state visit to Egyptos where the President had a said one of her heels looked weak. Not two minutes alter, the heel snapped, and the Foreign Secretary crumpled to the floor. Thankfully, her chief of staff was there with a replacement pair.

"It's good to see you Mr. President," Sinclair said, commandeering a glass of champagne for her friend. "And on such an auspicious day. For my entire political career, Mr. Mellor was Killadonias President. I became an MP just two weeks after his first Inauguration."
