Princeton, Republican Palace The wind whipped at Nancy Hall, as she stood, on the pale, white steps of the Imperial Palace, and awaited. Before her, thousands of people, behind, the political men and women who served the country. Mrs. Hall raised a foot, and scratched slightly the back of her calf with the appendage. Her black heels clacked on the cool marble as it was once more lowered. She was the Prime Minister, Head of Government for Great Franconia and Verana, and Leader of the National Union. And here, in her formal business wear, she stood, waiting for the parade of foreign motorcades to arrive, the distinguished guests of the new President. Yes, a new President, Hall had served as Prime Minister under the previous. She had been Prime Minister for nigh 4 years now, almost one entire term, and despite her parties victory in the recent presidential elections, she was very keen to begin work with Jonathan Giraud. Coming from the same party, they of course new each other. During the NU's convention, Hall had come out in support of Giraud. She had helped him beat out the SDP challenger, and align the Presidency with the Legislature once again. The day was cold, despite the sun shine. Nancy hall would face her own election next year, the countries Legislative election. As Prime Minister, she was responsible for most of the Governments work and power, while the President served as a more supervisory, if not highly influential and powerful role. But she put that from her mind. her task today was to represent the Government while the President was getting ready. Looking out across the Palatial Gardens and the road that weaved through them, she looked fro the next motorcade, and the next arrival. ![]() Prime Minister Nancy Hall is the Leader of the National Union, and winner of the previous Legislative elections. Serving as Prime Miniser under the Previous, Social Democratic Party President, the PM is happy to now welcome and NU candidate to the Presidency. Having a reputation as a scrapper and political survivor, Hall and her government run the everyday business of Government, while the President has more power over the broad strokes, especially in terms of foreign Policy and the military. President Hale President Edith Hale of Killadonia stepped out of the black sedan, pausing to adjust her coat as the cold wind blew through. She had always enjoyed her previous visits to Great Franconia and Verana, and judging by the gathered crowds, it seems like today would be no exception. After taking a moment to speak to people in the crowd as well as some of the attending dignitaries, Hale began to make her way over to the Prime Minister. |

Nancy Hall smiled brightly, and lead the President up the steps of the Presidential Palace. She knew much about President Hale, a strong, resolute woman to say the least. As they entered the long, tall rooms of the Palace, the corridors were white, with golden finishing all about them. The floor was of fine marble, and there was a red carpet that lead straight through the hall, directly to a large podium. Franconian flags stood on poles all about the stage. Crowds of people were held back from the carpet by a long velvet covered chain. "The President will enter, walk down to the podium under much clapping," The Prime Minister simulated the clap to drive the point home with some humour. "And then he will take the oath of office. And then, the reception dinner, later this evening. |
