Per Arendelle & Ravenwood's suggestion,we are now putting together a cultural festival. As I see it, each participating nation would prepare an exhibit to showcase their cultural and technological innovations (not unlike the World's Fair).

We'll use this thread for any questions or discussion on how we will proceed. Once it gets going, this thread will also be used for any OOC interactions.

I could go for this. So far this nation is under development, but I could whip up something pretty nice.

I think a good idea would be to post a general structure for the fair, a template one could fill out showing off the location, foods, cultural properties and other such items.

I think nations should be able to post whatever and however they'd like in order t showcase the different cultures. A template would make things systematic and take away from the individuality.

Could we see a template?

After much fanfare, the crowd that had formed for the opening of the Killadonian Pavilion were greeted by an unremarkable man in an expensive suit. With a wave of his hand, he leads the opening night crowd into the convention hall.

"Greetings, everyone. It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Killadonian Pavilion. Please follow me and come see what the Grand Republic has to offer.

First, sample some of Killadonia's signature dishes. We are honored to have some of our country's top rated chefs here today to put their own spin on our national dishes. Here we have Gerard Dumont serving cod, a fish very common to our shores, with spinach and jasmine rice. Next to him, we have Juliet Danvers with a modern take on corned beef and cabbage, a beloved dish throughout our nation's history. Last, we have William St. John with a vegan "beef" cottage pie. I'll admit that I was apprehensive about trying it myself, but with my eyes closed, you would swear it was meat in there.

To wash it all down, please sample some of the beverages made in our nation. First and foremost, we have mineral water from the Highlands. Water might seem like a boring choice, but you've never had water this clean and crisp before. Top it off with a slice of fresh cucumber and you have one of the most refreshing drinks in the world. Next, we have coffee made with beans from the Viel Mountains. By brewing our coffee with that fresh water, every cup is fragrant and flavorful until the last drop. Finally, we have samples of 25 year old single malt whisky from Haugforth, the oldest distillery in the country. The 25 year is aged in oak barrels that had previously been used to make sherry. This gives the whisky that distinctive flavor that has won countless awards over the years.

The food and beverages you have sampled here today would not have been possible without the agricultural innovation we have pioneered over the last twenty years. For example, the STOR-FRM Company has perfected the art of hydroponic gardens inside of reclaimed shipping containers. By placing these containers throughout our cities, neighborhoods come together to harvest their very own produce. But the innovations don't end in the city. In our farms across the country, our Farmer-1 drone has made farming that much more efficient. Not only do they tend to the crops, but using its advanced onboard computer, it can tell when to harvest crops that are ready. These innovations help us to keep our people fed and happy.

While we're on the subject of advanced electronics, I am proud to unveil the prototype for Torrington Transport's Model 12 long range electric car. The Model 11 broke records when it recorded 255 miles traveled on a single charge, but the engineers at Torrington weren't satisfied with resting on their laurels. The standard Model 12 has an effective range of 225 to 290 miles on a single charge, while the Model 12 SE pushes the boundaries of our technology with an effective range of 275 to 350 miles on a single charge. Cutting edge technology is good, but cutting edge technology and luxury comfort together is better. The Model 12 SE can match or exceed the features and specifications of any luxury sedan on the market. But here's the most amazing part about the Model 12: the engine on the prototype has been running this whole time and I bet you didn't even notice. It is the most quiet car on the market, bar none. For those of you who might be unnerved by that, the car has external speakers that currently play two different sounds: a traditional engine noise that we all know or an electronic car sound modeled after the cars from the hit sci-fi film Defenders of Earth (OOC: imagine a film closely resembling TRON)

And now for the last section of our pavilion. We've shown you the past and the present; now let's show you the future. Our nation's best and brightest have come together to work on the next step in human habitation: underwater cities. These models we have here today are just the first step of many steps in creating self-contained and self-sustaining cities underwater. And once we've made living underwater a reality, we can construct identical cities elsewhere. Not just in the ocean, but in previously uninhabitable deserts or arctic wastelands. One day, we might even perfect the technology to construct cities beyond our planet. These cities are just one part of Killadonia's mission to make the future that much brighter.

I hope you've enjoyed your visit to the Killadonia pavilion. Please visit our Information Desk with your questions and feedback. Thank you and have a good evening."
