Right now I am through 10 episodes and I love the writing of the show. Right now Sylar is my favorite character. His character is written beautifully into the show. This could be the best written show on TV right now.

That's what I've been trying to tell everyone... It's like LOST, but it knows where it's going.

I am a LOST fanatic, but Heroes is probably my favorite show right now. The only thing Heroes hasn't had so far is that episode. They have had a great storyline/writing, but doesn't have that one episode that sticks out in your mind. (Unless it is past episode 10) LOST had the pilot episode, Locke's flashback, and the finale all in season one.

Wait for the final few chapters. You'll be hooked. ;)

I get hooked every time I watch a disc. Last wednesday night I watched 4 episodes until 1 in the morning, then Friday I watch another 4 episodes until 1 also. I then watched each episode a second time after watching it the first time.

I'm a lead farmer, motherf...

So I was going to try to get into this show, but I never knew when it was on and my work schedule is always crazy. It also seemed like a TV-ripoff of X-Men (and I'm talking about the comics, not the movies), but what was weird was that no one (critic-wise anyway) ever even mentions that there were similarities and parallels. I find it hard to believe, from the commercials and promos that this show is not similar to X-Men.

Anyway, is this show any good? What would make me want to watch it? What is it like? I couldn't get into Lost (in fact, I kinda thought Lost was pretty lame and it's meandering story is not attractive to me).

X-Men = Born with the ability. Sometimes more than 1.
Heroes = Unknowingly GIVEN or just found out about their powers. So far 1 per Hero. Some very basic, nothing real SUPER-HUMAN.

X-Men = There is a Professor who teaches them to use their technique.
Heroes = No one learns to actually USE are are fully AWARE of their ability until about the 8th/9th episode.

X-Men = Linear.
Heroes = More plot twist than you can shake a stick at.

X-Men = Cyrebro finds all Heroes.
Heroes = Wild goose hunt to find out who does/doesn't have the ability.

X-Men = Multiple villains with the plan to take over the world.
Heroes = 1 definitive villain. Skylar. The others are questionable.

X-Men = The X-Men have the heart.
Heroes = Every character has some sort of depth, making you adapt to that particular character. As previously stated, VERY well written.

I'm just going to echo, VERY WELL WRITTEN.

Just finished Chapter 11, and it was amazing. I have a lot of questions about the show. Like how Sylar killed the girl, but didn't escape. The invisible guy just was introduced this past episode. I know Micah has a power but have no clue. His two out of the ordinary experiences were with the laptop and the pay phone. My guess is he is able to fix computer chips, but could be way off.

Just finished Chapter 18, and it is addictive. If I had the next disc I would watch the final 5 episodes right now, but will wait until tomorrow to rent the last disc.

Sylar is definitely the best acted/written character in the show. His character is complex. I love him.

The last few episodes (chapters), are AMAZING. They know how to throw twist at you. I can't wait for Monday. Thank GOD I don't have to do Halo.

I had a feeling that Nathan was going to do that. I have a feeling that Sylar and the Heroes will team up to try to stop the guy in Molly's head.
