Orlando is overrated, they only have Howard and Lewis and they still have a bunch of holes to fill. I really dont see them being a factor in the East quite honestly

Heat are a question mark to me. They are old and they can never stay healthy. I do think they will make the playoffs, but i wont say they are a lock

Nets arent a lock as well. They still have no front court and we dont know how Nenad will return from injury. If they have a bad start to the season i see the Jason Kidd trade rumors starting up.

I do think the Knicks can make it as a 7th seed but they will probably make it as the 8th. Last season they wouldve made the playoffs as the 7th seed. Everything was going well until Crawford and Lee both went down with injuries and then like a week later Stephon was also out for the season.

A lot of people say that the Knicks have the worst defensive frontcourt in the league with Curry and Zach. But our interior defense was never really a problem last season even with Curry and Frye(Who doesnt play much defense as well). Our problem was guarding the perimeter and im pretty sure we were one of the worst teams at giving up the 3 ball.

The East is more competitive this season without a doubt, but IF the Knicks can play as a team and gain chemistry then i see no reason why we cant make the playoffs.

Gotta love the Eddy Curry line

And the Magic have some decent players outside of Lewis and Howard

Nelson is better then people give him credit for
Hedo is a solid player as well. He can shoot and play somewhat decent defense
And from what I heard about JJ is that he is getting better at the pro level and should be able to contribute next season

How does a big ass boy like Curry average 19 pts and only 7 rebounds and 0.5 block.

I actually think Nelson is overrated

The man is a PG and is a starter for the team and he still cant average more than 5 assists per game

At first people said that the reason why he isnt really shining was because Franics was on the team. Now that he is the main PG on the team he still cant get it done

Magic have no PF, losing Milicic will hurt them, and we all know they wayyyy overpaid for Lewis. Lewis has game but they are paying him like a superstar and hes gonna be a disappointment for them

Hedo is inconsistent,he has his days and he has his off days. JJ is still young and still needs to improve on his handles, and Dwight still needs to work on his offensive game. I do think Dwight is gonna improve even more this season but he wont be able to carry the team on his back.

As for Eddy Curry I agree with all of yall. He needs to work on his rebounding and his shot blocking. But we dont really need Eddy to rebound so much because we are the best rebounding the in the league and we just acquired Zach who averages 9-10 rebounds a game plus we still have Lee off the bench

I would like to see Curry get around 8 boards a game and more than a block shot per game.

As for his weight he still needs to get in even better shape, but im at another forum and a Bulls fan said that he saw Curry in Chicago and he looked to be in his best shape of his life(And yes that poster is pretty well respected around the boards so he isnt BSing)

As said it before and ill say it again, if we can play as a team, get chemistry and we have minimal injuries then i dont see why we cant make the playoffs. But if course its easier said than done

Knicks acquire Jordan....Jared Jordan

Quote:

ESPN -
The Knicks kept tinkering with their roster two days before training camp, acquiring the draft rights to Jared Jordan on Sunday and working toward a buyout of Dan Dickau's contract.

The Knicks traded cash considerations to the Los Angeles Clippers in a deal that sends last season's NCAA assists leader back to New York. The Clippers took Jordan with the 45th pick in the NBA draft.

Jordan could compete for a backup point guard spot that will become open once the Knicks have completed their buyout of Dickau, who was acquired from Portland in the Zach Randolph trade in June. Dickau isn't expected to be in camp when it opens Tuesday in Charleston, S.C.

I really like this move. We didnt give up to get him and he led the nation in assists last season and 2 yrs ago as well i believe. I actually wanted Isiah to try and draft him in the 2nd round if we had a chance. Jordan is a pass first PG and should do well setting up players for a basket

I dont think hes going to get playing time since Nate is in front of him but when hes on the floor i expect good things from him.

He doesnt need to average that many rebound since we already have one of the best rebounding teams in the league. I tould be nice to see him average at least 8 rpg.

All we really need from Eddy is to become more defensive minded cause he is awful on defense.Just block more shots and limit his turnovers
