Wow, Aaron Harang looks a LOT leaner than years past, and his mechanics seem to be much improved as well. His timing with his front foot is much better.

Reds lose 2-1 to the Mets

Infield Defense: Positive. EE & Gonzalez made some really nice plays.

Outfield Defense: Questionable. Nerves got to the corner OFers.

Pitching: Positive. Harang, Lincoln, Rhodes, Weathers all pitched terrific. Herrera struggled and cost us the game.

Offense: Questionable. Only McDonald and whoever drove him in provided us offense. EE had a nice line drive that would've tied the game, but the Mets played really well defensively in the Outfield and that's what won the game (along with Santana).

The March trade that sent infielder Jeff Keppinger to the Astros was completed on Thursday when the Reds received infielder Drew Sutton as the player to be named.

Sutton, 25, will report to Triple-A Louisville. To make room for him on the 40-man roster, Danny Richar was sent outright to Louisville.

Last season with Double-A Corpus Christi, Sutton batted .317 with 20 home runs and 69 RBIs and was his team's Most Valuable Player. He led all Astros Minor Leaguers in batting average, hits (165), runs (102), walks (76), doubles (39) and extra-base hits (63).

With Triple-A Round Rock, Sutton was batting .267 (4-for-15) with a .389 on-base percentage in five games. He was the 15th-round selection by the Astros in the June 2004 First-Year Player Draft.

Keppinger, currently batting .467 for Houston with a six-game hitting streak, was dealt on March 31 after Cincinnati decided to go with Paul Janish or Adam Rosales as its backup infielder. Janish ultimately won the job out of camp.
