Very old thread but I feel like posting in it, nonetheless. I can't remember what grade it was really but I do know I was quite young. I was still aware of things but in all honesty, very naive. Comes with the age though. At that point as a little kid, my mom and well, pretty much no one was around much. You can put one and one together, drinking, blah blah blah. Anyways, I didn't sleep much the night before and at the time, I shared a room with my little brother so I turned on the TV in the room really really low to watch ESPN without him waking up. This is about 4 or 5 in the morning. Eventually time passed, turned off the TV in our room, went to go make some breakfast for myself and turned on Good Day LA or whatever it's called on FOX in the living room. As I watched the Live coverage, I thought it was just a fire until they announced that it was a plane. I was kind of freaked out because I've always been scared of planes but after a minute or so, I just calmed down and continue cooking breakfast. Then the second plane hit, I yelled "OH MY FUCKING GOD" which woke up my little bro. After awhile, got to school. All of the TV's had it on in the facility and it was almost like I was the only one who realized what impact this would have on the future. Almost like knowing this will be talked about in the next coming generations, while it's happening before your eyes, or screen if you will. A very odd day. |

9th grade. I was eating breakfast (around 6 am) when it happened. Didn't hear the news until I got to school two hours later. |
