Houston swaps 1st round positioning with Ravens for 26th 1st round and a third and fifth rounder.
aCutb how good is Duane Brown?
He is perfect for or ZBS, I had him rated as a 2nd rounder, but reaching for him is still a good thing. He may not start LT this year, but will be our LT for the future.
alot of so called"Experts" are questioning the Texans tactics. Well, they questioned them 2 years ago with Mario and I dont regret that decision one bit. I did however get alittle concerned when they skipped on the chance to get Mendenhall. They did get Slaton but I really liked the idea of Mendenhall in the backfield.Oh well, we did get marion Baber's brother but I hear he may not have the build or atletics to make it in the NFL
The Texans traded down for 2 reasons 1. They wanted the extra picks 2. They believed Brown would still be their at 26 With the extra pick in the 3rd round we got two of our needs marked off with CB and RB. Overall i'm pretty happy with their draft decisons
Honestly, I don't care for these "experts". This may not be a flashy draft for us but I like our dedication to our line with Mario Williams, Amobi Okoye, and Duane Brown with our 3 1st round selections of the Kubs/Smith era. Slaton, Adibi, and Okam were 1st round selections at the beginning of the year.
I'm really excited we got Slaton.. but i'm not thrilled about the fact that Darius Walker may not have a spot on this team anymore.

Redfox, do you want Mario's two sacks or Reggie Bush's 3.2 yards per carry?
In that game, I'd take the sacks, but in a career I'd take Bush as my Franchise player out of the 2
What was I thinking

The good thing about Slaton is he can also play reciever. The bad thing is that he is more of a north to south runner. But hey, thats fine by me as long as he is getting positive yards.

It's ok. At least you realize your mistakes, 2ksportsfan won't even celebrate a "Mario sack."
Being a north to south runner in a ZBS blocking scheme is bad? All we need from our running back is one cut, and go.
Also, for the people saying that Duane Brown was a reach. The Seahawks said they missed Duane Brown by one pick. So he was going to 27 if we didn't draft him.

I'm really glad we got Brown he may be a "project" but he has alot of upside. Alex Gibbs and the front office wanted him from the start and we got 2extra picks for pretty much nothing ( when we traded down )
I really liked the Slaton pick. Now when Green gets injured we will have depth at RB

My thoughts exactly. If Alex Gibbs likes him, then I will like him. Plus, with Ahman Green/Chris Brown/Steve Slaton/Darius Walker/Cris Taylor we have depth at running back.

:o Daunta Robinson had his house broken into and had a gun pointed to his head this afternoon. Just shocking that people would actually do stuff like this. He had jewlery stolen from him, thats all I know of.
Wow, I hate people.
It only took 8months..

RICHMOND — A man charged in a robbery at Houston Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson's home last year pleaded guilty in a Fort Bend County court and was sentenced to 25 years in prison Tuesday.
Terrance Demond Johnson, 28, pleaded to an aggravated robbery charge in the court of state District Judge Brady Elliott, said Fort Bend County prosecutor Jeff Strange.
Robinson, 26, was robbed Sept. 1 in his home in the Sienna Plantation community. Police said Johnson and another man confronted Robinson and bound him with duct tape. The men, armed with pistols, stole jewelry and left.
Police are still searching for the second suspect

The Houston Lastros are horrible, the Rockets can't make it to the 2nd round, the Dynamo are great? And, I just can't wait for the football season!
