Care to explain why they are "at the lowest a .500 team"?

I don't think I have to explain first when I'm in the majority.

How about a little sig bet? If the Texans are below .500 I (along with Redfox and maybe Jmill) will sport a sig by choice. But when/if the Texans are .500 or higher, then you will sport a Texans sig for the playoffs.

The reason they are a .500 team is because of their defense. In the last 10 games of last season, (young players/new scheme) we were a top 10 defense. This year everyone got a year under the belt, Amobi Okoye and Danny Clark were added to our defense, plus a lot of secondary changes. Our offense is a great running scheme, check the last 6 games of the year when Vonta Leach was our FB and we used a ZBS/Gap system. (125.6 yards/game) We also have underrated receiving options, Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels, Jacoby Jones, and Kevin Walter. Ahman Green and Ron Dayne are capable backs but won't scare anyone. Matt Schaub has looked great in preseason, but want to see how he is against KC.

I have to agree.Lets look at the facts...First, the AFC south has but one dominant team.Tennessee has fallen on there faces, Jacksonville just got rid of there franchise QB, I mean who else is there.Im not saying they will beat the Colts, but I can see them having a good record.9-7 is where im standing.I hope better but I am not greedy.NFL fans who come in here and say"Oh the Texans are going to go 2-14 have no clue".I think the two teams that will shock alot of people are the Texans and the Eagles.People feel Philly has lost to much talent, but havent we said this year after year and McNabb leads them to glory.McNabb was on a trip last year before he got hurt. The Texans have a totally new team and have an exciting fan base ready for change.

Oh, by the way in case any fans here in Houston havent heard. If you turn in any NoN-Texans Jersey or a Texans Jersey with a FORMER player name on to the Texans Store at Reliant, you get $15.00 off a new Jersey.I just turned in an old Aaron Brooks Jersey I got for 10 bucks and purchased a new Jones Jersey.Final Cost was $70.00

I've actually have never bought a Texans Jersey. Just the fact that they have never been good was really the main reason. If I get one it'll be Andre Johnson.

Texans are not a .500 team, they are a 6-10, 7-9 team. Still have a weak offense, and a bad offensive line. Can I join the bet?

I want in of the bet too. They can beat the Chiefs, Falcons, Dolphins, Titans (twice), Jags (twice, maybe), Raiders, Browns, and Bucs.

9-7, 8-8.

I'm in.. the Texans are really a sleeper for alot of people for some reason not really sure why  Their offensive line will be better since Shaub will take less time getting the ball out of his hands. Shaub and Andre Johnson have been working on the 3step pass which Andre likes, so this is a good thing. Their is on reason why they can't be .500 this year.

This team is going to be fun. Andre Johnson, Jacoby Jones, Owen Daniels, and Kevin Walter are going to make Matt Schaub a very happy guy.
