To get back on topic, lets play a game. Who is the next safety the Texans lose to a season-ending injury?
[A]C.C Brown Von Hutchins [c]Michael Boulware [D]These are the only three left on our team.
I have a feeling C.C will
Speaking of safeties, the Texans signed Will Demps. We now have three safeties that can't cover.
lol great signing then

Redfox, do you want Mario's two sacks or Reggie Bush's 3.2 yards per carry?
In that game, I'd take the sacks, but in a career I'd take Bush as my Franchise player out of the 2
Why? Jacoby Jones is just as good of receiver as Bush.
But, Bush is also a Runningback. That combo of being able to rush for yards and catch for yards is deadly. Jacoby Jones caught 2passes today
^_^
Bush is a runningback? I have yet to see him be able to run the ball. When Reggie Bush actually is able to run the ball up the middle, then he will be a runningback. Right now he is an overhyped receiving threat out of the backfield. Jacoby Jones got one pass for 26 yards on a 3 and 10 play, and had another 7 yard reception. (Jones also ran the ball for 4 yards on one carry.) Reggie Bush caught 4 passes for 7 yards, and ran the ball 12 times for 32 yards. So lets do some math, Jones touched the ball 3 times and had 37 total yards. Reggie Bush touched the ball 16 times for 39 total yards. Jones averaged 12.3 yards per touch, Bush averaged 2.4 yards per touch. Bush has a full season under his belt, plus played at USC so more pro-level competition than Jones had. Jones played in his first game, didn't even start. Now let me ask you something, would you rather have a 3rd round player that puts up equal stats or a 2nd overall pick who puts up equal stats? The Texans found a mid round player to be a Reggie Bush type of player, the Texans couldn't find a complete defensive end to demand Mario Williams presence on that line.
Reggie Bush is a RB, is it his fault theirs another option no it's not. Just wait, once Bush is a starter the numbers will be their both rushing/recieving.
Bush had more carries than Deuce though. MJD had Fred Taylor last year, he put up numbers. Joseph Addai had Dominic Rhodes last year, he put up numbers. I don't get your point. Bush gets more touches than Deuce and is basically a starter.
But last year he was a basically a Freshman, knew to the surrondings and plays. What I am basically saying is they didn't need him at RB last year so they changed his position, which may have threw him off a just a bit. Besides he didn't to bad last year, just wait till next year to see the stats he can put up as the #1 option.

Joseph Addai wasn't the number one option and a rookie- had over 1000 yards. Maurice Jones-Drew wasn't the number one option and a rookie- had 13 TD's.
Both of them were new to the surroundings, but put up yards and TD's.

Don't forget about Maroney either. He split time with Dillion and still had a good year.
Just to shine a little light on the subject...
Last season: Bush averaged 5.3 yards per touch... Maroney averaged 4.7 per touch... Addai averaged 5.2 yards per touch... Jones-Drew Averaged 6.5 yards per touch...

That's per touch though. I know Bush is a good receiver, but look at per rush.
Bush 3.6 per rush. MJD 5.7 per rush. Maroney 4.3 per rush. Addai 4.8 per rush.
Heck, look at the 6th round draft pick that didn't make our team this year.
Lundy 3.8 per rush.

I should have put more...
Bush gets the most catches so his total goes up.
I'm not saying Bush isn't good or that he never will be, he's just hasn't measured up to the standards set by nearly everyone coming out of college.

I'm not doubting that Bush can't be a great receiver/3rd round back in the league. He will always be a deadly option, but I don't ever see him being a complete back. He just doesn't average enough ypc.

LETS GET OFF THIS REGGIE BUSH SHIT!!!IT BELONGS IN THE SAINTS THREAD!!
Ok...I got that off my shoulder. The Texans have a problem at safety.Id love to see Boulware snap out of it but I doubt it.Im thinking that our Defensive Line will play great this year and our Secondary is gonna take a pounding.Robinson to me is just to inconsistant. One day, he looks awesome. The next, hes getting beat every other play.We better Blitz alot the next few games to put pressure on the QB.

Robinson never looks inconsistent to me. He doesn't get beat that much, it's the safeties that will get beat if anyone. Robinson is the most consistent player on our defense. What does Boulware have to snap out of? He has just learned the system. We should incorporate some safety blitz, with C.C Brown blitzing from the SS spot, letting Von Hutchins play a center field type cover role.

The only thing bad about Danta is his size, everything else he has his great, speed, and I've watched interviews where people have said that hhe has one mean tackle. The defense is greatly improved from last years, Mario is going to have to keep up with his 1st game performance to help our defense even more. I'm rooting for him hopefully he doesn't get hurt again..
