Randy Moss is making Tom Brady put up these other-worldly stats. You know, the same way he did for Kerry Collins and Aaron Brooks....oh wait...never mind.

No one is saying Brady is no good. We're just saying, put one of the best QB's of the past 20 years with one of the best WR's ever and you're going to get some amazing stats.

Lets not get into Arizona....

Why?

That's a perfect example of WR's making QB's.

Enlighten me a bit. Matt Leinart was pretty much BENCHED earlier this season. Kurt Warner, when he has good pass protection, is still a top 10 quarterback in my opinion. Trust me, those Arizona receivers have not done much help to their Quarterbacks reputations.

I thought you meant the QB's made the WR's in Arizona.

So, that's why I said that. I meant, if anything it's the WR's (Boston, Boldin, Fitzgerald) that have made all 5,000 QB's (quick estimate) that have gone through Phoenix in the last 5-6 years. Except maybe Plummer who lived by the scramble.

I guess I just misunderstood what you meant.

The duo in Arizona make the catches when they can and you can tell by the yardage those Cardnial QB's rack up. But the QB's have bad accuracy (I know not all their fault, don't wanna open that can of worms). However, that of course leads to the low ratings, low %'s, high INT's and that horrible line they've had the past 5 years hasn't helped the cause any against the rush.

Last year Leinart/Warner had over 3,900 combined yards through the air and the Cards were 10th in the NFL in passing yards a game. But, Fitz and Boldin had only a combined 10 TD's. See the point?

Tom Brady is a beast.

Two words... Randy Moss.

Now, I'm not saying Brady isn't good. He's arguablly, and IMO the best all around QB of this decade (2000-now), but you have to acknowledge what Moss does for QB's. His athletism is bar none in the NFL. He makes grabs 80% of the leagues WR's only dream of or make once in a lifetime.

Without Moss, Brady would not be on pace for 56 TD's or have a 10/1 ratio of INT's.

Remember when you laughed that I said Randy Moss is still a top 5 WR, he just isn't motivated? :P

JCM buried Randy Moss, talked about how he was completely done, finished, no more.

I would be a good reciever if I had Tom Brady throwing to me too....

So all of his receivers are bad and Brady makes them good? Yes, lets just throw out Moss' Vikqueens days, Welker's good year in Miami last season, and Stallworth's ability and say Brady makes them good. Sounds like an excuse to me.

Teh receivers have had as much as an effect on Brady as he has had on his receivers.

My point is that Tom Brady will make ANYONE better.

Which is why the media calls the Belichick system the "Patriot Act".

Just because you have two good WR on the outside, doesnt make your passing game good. Look at how Dallas Clark, Jason Witten, Ben Watson and other great TE's, control the middle of the field for their offenses. Watch a Cowboys game. Tony Romo could never find Terrell Owens on the outside, if Tony Homo ^_^ doesnt set it up with Witten in the middle. I dont see anyone in Arizona doing that.

Watch a Cowboys game.

Umm, thanks but I'll pass.

I could give half a shit about the Cowboys. ;)

And, take Boldin/Fitz out of the Arizona roster and that 12th ranked passing offense would be in the high 20's-low 30's. Period.

Well thats obvious, that if you take two great receivers out of an offense, its going to do worse. But im saying, if that passing game wants to go to the next level(such as IND, DAL, NE) they need someone to control the middle of the field. Anquan Boldin is a good receiver in the slot, but in my opinion, they need a very good TE.

Tom Brady on pace for 56 TD passes, has over a 10/1 TD/INT ratio, and a 128.9 QB rating, all while leading the league in passing as well.  Tom Brady is a beast.

Then again, with Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth, and Ben Watson, how could he not be?

was thinking the same thing ;)

Keep cool my babies

Tom Brady didn't make the receivers, nor do they make Tom Brady. He has always been a Top 2 QB, but the new WR's have put him over the top, and he is having a great year.

Randy Moss didn't care or try at all in Oakland. I got to see it first hand, living close by and watching all the games. It's not like he goes to NE, and bam, he is a star again due to Brady. He was still a great WR, just didn't care. Now he is on most people's picks for SB Champs, so of course he is motivated.
