Because they played tougher teams throughout the season, plus they've been ahead of BC all the time so I don't see the logic here. |

But... you just said you don't judge teams based on who they lost to. The fact is, Cal beat Oregon when they played head to head. Cal lost to Oregon State by just three, despite missing their star quarterback. |

I said you don't base teams on who they lost to lost to. If Standford went 2-10 and USC went 11-1, who gives a shit about the H2H matchup USC would still be the better team. Oregon's only loss comes to a team of close ranking, CAL lost to a team that they should of beaten by 2 scores. USC beat Arizona without their starting QB, and they looked like shit and dropped in the rankings rightfully so. Starting QB or not, both team are much better than their opposition and they didn't prove it. |

Here's the BCS Rankings... 1 Ohio State 2 South Florida Bulls 3 Boston College 4 Oklahoma 5 Louisiana State 6 South Carolina 7 Kentucky 8 Arizona State 9 West Virginia 10 Oregon 11 Virginia Tech 12 California 13 Kansas 14 Southern California 15 Florida 16 Missouri 17 Auburn 18 Hawai'i 19 Virginia 20 Georgia As for the Oregon/California debate, Oregon has been a more dominant team this year. They've killed every team they've played outside of the loss to California. California's lost to a lower tier Pac-10 team and tangled with Colorado State. Also, if SC gets punished for letting Arizona hang with them, then why doesn't South Carolina get punished for letting North Carolina tangle with them? Double standard. |

Because people already have doubts about USC, they've failed to look good against any team they've played except Nebraska, and Nebraska sucks. They are just feeling the effects of people continuously being unimpressive. |

Your entire argument makes no sense. If Cal beat Oregon and they have the same record then it makes no sense for Oregon to be higher. It doesnt matter what teams they lost to, because we already saw who is better, CAL is. You sound like a computer(BCS) when you talk about who lost to who and how they lose. No. Cal beat Oregon therefore they are better. Since they have the same record, then there is no reason for Oregon to be higher, besides that they lost earlier in the season. Also, as far as your USC statement. No one is downing the Trojans because of anything besides they have not beat anyone good, and they have lost to a horrible team. How is Nebraska good? Because of their preseason ranking? No. Nebraska has been getting their ass handed to them almost every game. |

You are an idiot, first don't put words in my mouth, I never said Nebraska was good in fact I said they SUCK. Okay, now that not only have you put words in my mouth, but you completely failed to read basic english I don't know if your even worthy of a further arguement as you have just committed two idiotic mistakes, but I shall proceed. Fact is even though CAL won their H2H, they've only shown they've gotten worse. Rankings are used to judge a team as they go through the season, and CAL has regressed, and Oregon has not. You are judging the teams as they progress from the season, not judging the teams based on just one game. Fact is under no circumstances can a #2 team lose to a team as less talented as OSU, ever it's inexcusable, and your ranking is going to pay for it because it shows you have obvious weakness. When you beat a team by a small margin and then lose to a horrible team then your just not going to be ranked as high as them. Oregon lost by a last secondfumble into the endzone, the game was as close as humanly possible, CAL didn't go out there and just demonstratively demonstrate they were better, just better on that day, and when you lose after a game like that, esp. to a bad team, it's going to make your previous win look more fluky. |
