I wish i could be like you guys and just not buy a certain game because the reviews are bad. But i just can't. I wouldn't care if this game got a review of 3 out of 10, i would still buy it. It may seem dumb, but i have to have baseball game this year. Ive been dying for this to come out, so nothing is going to stop me. I mean sure, if i had a ps3 i would most likely get MLB the show over 2k8, but i only have one option with 360. So im getting 2k8 no matter what. Just like Madden. Every year i know its going to be a disappointment, but what am i going to do with the license being in tact? Hopefully this is playable. |

That is the definition of dumb. You have a game for this year. It's last year's. You're buying a roster update -- that is dumb. Same with Madden. You are dumb if you just keep buying the same crappy product regardless of quality. That's exactly why these things don't improve. They are counting on people like you that will buy whatever they are offering because you "have" to have it. |

I'm experiencing no sort of lag now. And from the people that aren't being total dickheads at OS, they say it takes a couple of games to get used to, anyways. It's not a big problem. Who ever asked the question about pushing the swing stick forward for a defensive swing; no it does not work for some reason. I got the pitching down, now I need to get better at it. Last night I played a Braves - Mets game, and I got killed. It was the funnest 17-1 game I've ever experienced. ![]() Also, for those of you that are having trouble with pitching, use the tutorial. A lot. It really helps. |

To me, playing last years game and just updating the rosters is dumb. It may save me money, but its only going to last me about a week before i get bored because i played the hell out of it last year. The new game still has tons of new features that make me feel like im not just playing last years game. The improvement may not be worth 60 dollars, but its worth something. I would much rather save up to buy this game, then play last years game. But again, thats just me. |

I haven't really had any lag issues. Just occasionally right before a batter comes to the plate, none during actual gameplay. Also, I've had some during replays, but I turn replays off and always have. Replays annoy me, especially 2K doing one after every out it seems. And, I wonder if it would help any of these people, if they went from 1080i to 720p, the graphics will still be just as good. My HDTV is set at 720 and the games looks fine. As for the bad reviews, my only complaint is the graphics, but I care mostly about gameplay so not a big deal for me. They are worse than last year though, although the ballparks look nice. However, I don't need to feel like "I'm in the game" or whatever everyone else does, I just want good competitive ballgames. |

The thing that dissapoints me about the graphics downgrade is that they did it so the game would run smoothly at 60 FPS, but people are experiencing a lag, as small as it may be(and some people aren't at all). That's what sucks about the downgrade. |

Playing this game makes me want to buy a PS3 for the show so badly. So far the only thing that 2k8 has improved on over 2k7 is bat off ball placement, meaning there are a lot more ways the ball travels when hit off the bat, and no more bullshit fielding plays, what I mean is the fielders range has been cut down so you actually hit balls over players heads. Overall I am not very impressed, I dont know which game was better, 2K7 or 2K8 but the fact that I even have to debate it in my head is not good. I am seriously now about to get a PS3 for the show, from the reviews I have read it is really, really good and in almost all ways better then MLB 2K8. In franchise mode they save every box score from every game and I have heard the presentation of the franchise is the best in the biz. God I want MLB 08 the Show badly now. |
