The thing that dissapoints me about the graphics downgrade is that they did it so the game would run smoothly at 60 FPS, but people are experiencing a lag, as small as it may be(and some people aren't at all). That's what sucks about the downgrade.
Whats so fucking hilarious is MLB 2K7 ran so much more smoothly then 2K8

...what I mean is the fielders range has been cut down so you actually hit balls over players heads.
Agreed.
I hated that last year.

Playing this game makes me want to buy a PS3 for the show so badly.
So far the only thing that 2k8 has improved on over 2k7 is bat off ball placement, meaning there are a lot more ways the ball travels when hit off the bat, and no more bullshit fielding plays, what I mean is the fielders range has been cut down so you actually hit balls over players heads.
Overall I am not very impressed, I dont know which game was better, 2K7 or 2K8 but the fact that I even have to debate it in my head is not good.
I am seriously now about to get a PS3 for the show, from the reviews I have read it is really, really good and in almost all ways better then MLB 2K8. In franchise mode they save every box score from every game and I have heard the presentation of the franchise is the best in the biz.
God I want MLB 08 the Show badly now.
Shit if Chris don't like this game there goes me buying a 360 and trying this.

It is Ty Wiggington, after all.
It's the 3 booted grounders by Roberts that told me there was a problem.
First thing I'll do when I get the game is edit/create Kosuke Fukudome. Second, I'm trading for Brian Roberts, since it's going to happen within a week or so. Get my game Friday, btw.
Fukudome is in the game, but with a fake name. It's like Kevin Fortunado or something stupid like that.

I can't figure out how to do a contact swing. I do the swing stick backwards to step and then let go of the joystick but nothing happens. In 2k7, that is what you did to swing for contact, but this year, the players just step and don't swing. I can only hit for power. What am I doing wrong?

It's one type of swing -- there is no power swing. It's more natural. You shouldn't be able to pick your swing, just swing the same way.

In the manual, it says that you can swing for power or for contact by doing what you do in 2k7.

Then the crappy manual is wrong. That was what every review and preview said this year. 2k even said that was changed for this year because people complained.
